😂😂😂😂
Glad he enjoyed it while it lasted
I love his face expression 😂
Maestro Hadelich is over human! Magestic performance of CHAIKOVSKY concerto, ever.
I can't count anymore how many times I've listened to this performance.
This is literally the best
Of the present virtuosos, I agree.
But the old Masters, Heifetz still rules.
IMHO This is one of the best recordings of today's violinists, but the old-school recordings of Oistrakh, Heifetz, Milstein, Szeryng, Grumiaux, and others beat this.
anything this man plays is pure gold.
@@e-spy TRUE! ❤
I saw him play this in Seattle a few years ago and feel in love with the performance. I will never get tired of it
The way his hand moves across the instrument 😮
His phrasing is sublime and his fingering is perfection.
He's one of the greatest violinist of this time. The way he stands his ground - literally - is a marvel to watch. He takes his energy from the ground, transferring it directly to the string.
He can do whatever he likes, and does so with superb taste and technique. He really moves me, a young guy transferring the violin playing tradition and exploring the repertoire in a genial way.
No words.
Thank you for expressing Augustin Hadelich in a way that he deserves. It is nearly impossible to convey what he brings - the quality of my life improved the day I “discovered” this genius.
Briljant!
I've never heard of a violin interpretation of Francisco Tarrega. Wow, it is just amazing. Thank you, Augustin for such an amazing performance.
Each note is played with such care and commitment! Extraordinary sound!
Hadelich shows how this should be played!
Music is not about how it should be played. Kavakos shows how it should not be played?
@@hang10244 So musicmaking is not about the playing of it?? Of course it is. And the playing of the music can be done in good and bad ways. The playing of Hadelich in this concerto was after my humble opinion as good as it gets (but of course that is subjective, I have not stated otherwise either).
@@johannesbrahmsfan9228 good point to make, but i am just pointing out when theres 'should', theres ' should not', i just enjoy how each musician express themselves with the instruments, instead of thinking is that correct or not, i am sure your rendition if you play an instrument, is bravo too!
I really love the recording from Vadim Repin too.
@@peterander581 I agree that Repin's recording is also very, very good.
this encore is insane, how does the guy bust out a 40min virtuosic concerto and still have the CRAZY bow control for recuerdos de alhambra 😩
Because he is a human who is at a higher level of understanding of his music and instruments. I am blessed to have seen him perform . A definite high point .
@@georgeallen7101 also saw him perform, a recital in pittsburgh. one of the best days of my life!
his bow is more controlled than my life lmao
Fantastic

Finally, the only video of Hadelich playing Tchaikovsky on CZcams
This is the second time that i have listened to this performance and the violinist is excellent!! The orchestra is first-rate also!! Such a wonderful performance of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto!! Bravissmo to you all!!!
Wow! What a great, grandiose performer❤❤❤!!!
I recently found Augustin and he's my top violinist at the moment.
My lifelong wish is to actually listen to his performance.
Your music relaxes my mind.
I love you😍
Interprétation magistrale d'une grande sensibilité . Mille BRAVI
I saw him play this live in California! He is wonderful, and I admire him very much!
The sound of every note that he plays and his interpretation of the piece is just so beautiful.
Goosebumps all over.
Obviously Hadelich is the best but most pleasing were the principal woodwinds players exercising their expressions of pleasure playing their parts, particularly Clarinet, oboe, and bassoon. BRAVO. They love their jobs.
i see
wonder why🤔
Oh, this guy is everything! The orchestra - beyond glorious! (By the way, when the concert master gets up OUT OF HIS CHAIR to shake your hand - especially from an Orchestra with the storied history that the Finish Radio Symphony Orchestra has - you have indeed earned their respect. That was a HUGE gesture.) Back to Augustin: I love how he provides such a soft and light touch to certain phrases. Where most violinists attack, Augustin finesses. 1:55 - such a delicate touch. This is fiddle playing totally in the vein of Heifetz, Pearlman, Zimmerman (we can give Zimmermann his props, too); Isaac Stern, etc. - I mean the OLD masters. We are so flooded with 12-year-olds playing this and that, that we forget the Titans who Put the Violin On the Map have already played these pieces, and many of their performances have RARELY been equaled to this day. When Augustin plays, it's like someone is either talking or singing, period. I simply do not hear a violin. I have tried and tried and tried, but I DON'T hear a violin. It sounds like something all together different. If you want to talk technique - just listen to 28:24, there's a flourish of lower notes (that pattern repeats itself a few times), and most violinist don't give much attention to that section. With Augustin, it's beyond clear; it actually comes very much alive. Brilliant! This man is a living legend!
Great comment. Thanks
I dont like the interpretation of the conductor of the allegro moderato, the orchestra is too rigid, especially at 7:04 and all the repetitions.
Augustin is beyond gloriously legendary tho
I was taught that a gentleman never shakes someone's hand without getting up first.
This man is a genius. But I’m sure I’m not saying anything new. His playing is so exquisite, in every way - so well thought through - with an astonishing technique which is a means for him to express his artistic voice - the greatest I have rarely heard in any medium.
If the word 'sublime' could take on human form for just 5 minutes, it would with joy kneel before Augustine. I am trying to hold back the tears...
the "COME ON" at the end was everything lol
Mr. Hadelich deserves our praise. So much passion in his playing and full of joy🎻👏👏👏
Omg...help me! I can't stop listen this musician. This performance takes my breath away...so emotional, so expressive, so alive...God bless you, Maestro!
This is really incredible...
No word to describe
Thanks Julia Fisher and Mr Hadelich to have recorded the Bach's Chaconne... so I could discover Mr. Hadelich's absolut incredible talent, so much touching, so beautiful in heart and soul 🙃🙂, right and full of sense etc etc...THAAAAANK YOU!
This interpretation makes me understand better Tchaïkovsky, and love his music.
I AM AMAZED & DEEPLY IMPRESSED. ALL OF THE DIFFICULTIES ARE DISTINCT & UNBLURRED. THE BEST PLAYING OF THE TCHAIKOVSKY OF ANY MODERN DAY VIOLINIST I'VE HEARD THUS FAR. A GREAT PERFORMANCE. I ONLY WISH HE'D USE MORE BOW.
speechless ! 🌷🌷🌷 (Holland)
I enjoy Tchaikovsky violin concerto and it is well performed by Agustin.what a talent.!
Oh my God ! I can't get enough of watching this video every week. I adore Hadelich. Thank you Master and thank God who gave you this gift.
One of my musical dreams is to hear Hadelich perform live! What a brilliant performance of one of my favorite violin concertos 🤩
My dream, as well! So happy I'll see him in Chicago in August (Grant Park music Festival) when he will play Sibelius concerto.
I'm going to see him perform in Newark NJ this Thursday! Why don't you check his website he has a list of upcoming concerts. You will see if you can attend any of them.
I´m looking forward to hear Hilary Hahn playing this concerto in september 23 and to hear Augustin together with Julia Fischer a few weeks later...
I got to see him here in Seattle play this exact piece. It was absolutely incredible, i nearly cried a few times.
Really good all the musicians have fun are smiling making music on this top level is so healthy for everyone the players the conductor and not the least for Augustin thanks all of you for this spiritual concert
I recently found Augustin and he's my top young violinist at the moment. He interprets Tchaiikovsky so beautifully, with everything you need, and nothing you don't want (unlike some.)
I’ve listened to so many wonderful soloists play this piece and this is altogether at an another level!
He should've been on the Unesco World Heritage's list ..bravo hadelich!!! I've never experienced such an intense musical delight before ( actually I have, when I heard hadelich plays the Brahm's concerto ) justtttt woww!! I'm glad to be alive 💕❤️
I always love to listen to his performances. So full of emotions that connects with his audience.
wow wow wow!!! Fantastic playing! Augustin is certainly one of the great soloists of our time!

Sheer beauty!!!! Such a sensitive player - wonderful
So incredibile to have met him in Mexico last year! Always tuned and musical!
Fantastic!

What a beautiful performance! So neat and expressive. I could feel every single note, and the cadenza was just astonishing.
WOW. WHAT an orchestra, and what a performance. Electrifying, emotional violin, and spectacular unity and fire from the orchestra. Can't wait to watch this again when my heart slows down to a safe level!

breathtaking.... the best Tchaikovsky I have ever heard.... pure beauty...
Beautiful, stunning, WOW, great job Mr. Hadelich!!! So expressive!!
There's no word that i can actually say, about the amazing it was, Agustin is totally amazing, the only thing that i can actually say is "bravo"👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is the best Tchaikovsky I've ever seen. It's the song that inspired me to buy a violin 13 years ago, and I've heard dozens of renditions. This is my favorite.
Yep, just rewatched this. It takes someone who has gone through real struggle to play this piece. This concerto is about overcoming pain.

Excellent indeed. After Heifetz, of course.

As if the Tchaikovsky wasn't enough, then he gives us this incredible encore. Bravo!!
Amazing! Such clarity with each and every note played as if it were to be the last ever heard. The hushed passages were particularly exquisite. The encore was breathtaking.
I chanced upon Hadelich playing Paganini 1st and I was so moved I had to hear more so I came here to the Tchaikovsky (which I first heard by Jascha Heifetz in 1966). I was not disappointed! Bravo.
🎉
I just love everything he plays with his violin.
Augustin brings you serendipity of nuances in his wonderful bowing and tempo control, like slow motion pictures of waves and flowers coming to fruition. His violin sings with a crystal clear sound! Love him!!
I know I had another favourite version of this concerto (my all-time favourite violin concerto) before stumbling across this today, but even now I struggle to remember what it was. Safe to say that any other performance has been eclipsed by Mr Hadelich's utterly thrilling, engaging, heart-rate-raising playing
Absolutely one of the best performances of this great violin concerto I have ever heard. Incredible control over details. Encore is also truly a cherry on top - sweet, delicate, and colorful.
BRAVO !!! Saludos desde España.
Two of the most difficult pieces for violin excellently interpreted! Thank Augustin.
Nagyszerű elöadás, koncert. ❤
The best interpretation of this concerto I have ever seen. THE PHRASINGS!!!
The encore was a gem. I've played this piece countless times on the guitar, and hearing it on the violin was bizarre and beautiful (and it's probably ten times more difficult to play on violin).
Apparently tremolo on violin isn't as hard as it is on the guitar. But (credit where it's due) he does play it with the soft elegance that the piece demands and i like his interpretation as well
@@shinigami8068 I've played guitar and I'm learning violin now, and I can tell you the tremolo in this piece is harder on violin. At least for me.
Violonist here 😄🤚
This encore piece is very, very difficult because of the virtuosic bow part. It's not tremolo but ricochet (that's the term in France) . In fact, the bow touch each string successively with a very quick bounce and it requiert lot of years to master... After 10 years with violin, i can only dreaming of playing like that 🥺😅
@@rebpv7537 Yeah, and ricochet is very annoying to get down right, since you have to get every bounce to be very similar to the first one for ricochet to even sound a bit consistent. Also different parts of the bow bounce differently, so you need to have pretty much flawless bow technique to play this...
@@Exelitious Exactly. I wish i could explain that but i m french ha ha 😂😅
This is now my favorite rendition of this concerto
A great performance!! Bravissimo!!
I can't get enough of Maestro Hadelichs' stellar genius!!!! A verbal description escapes me... Nonetheless,, I'll try " otherworldly!!!!"
I hope this concert will be CD.

How intense!!!
At given moments, I did have serious concerns that either the A or E the string would pop!
And the Tárrega encore was sublime!

Bonheur et émotion. Grande interprétation.
I confirm it, we are in front of the David Oistrakh of the 21st century ... the best version I heard ever of Tchaikovsky's violin concerto ... Alena Baeve, Janine Jansen and Anne-Sophie Mutter will excuse me, but you must surrender to maestro Hadelich. ...
@bruno1st I prefer Hadelich, he's just has an element of flair that Hilary Hahn doesn't quite have. I love her music too but often time it seems a little simplistic.
totally agree
Joshua Bell?
@@VivaLaVittoria I heard the version of this concert by Joshua in 2013 in the UK and I have to tell you that he made fourteen mistakes, some very notorious, but I summarize them in that he was out of note and time several times and that this caused that the long notes had to be shortened . Another notation for the high notes made them feel very shrill. In conclusion he is far below the level of Augustin. Regards.
What about Perlman?
All the musicians involved here put the focus of adulation right at Tchaikovsky, the creator of this masterpiece. Hadelich & Bringuier illuminate the score in such an emotional way it’s like hearing it for the first time - beautiful recording as well.
I agree with every word. This was transcendent, above, and beyond!
Wonderful! And let's hear it for that orchestra, it is just fantastic.
Beautiful... exquisitely poignant expression. A gift to witness. Spanish encore piece was stunning. So happy he will be returning to perform with the FWSO in the '21 - '22 season.
Bravo! Superb performance by Augustin. He is everything one could hope for in a violinist. And Bravo to the FRSO. Thanks for sharing.
