The difference here is NATO’s article 5 which would trigger WW3 if a NATO country is attacked by Russia in retaliation.

I am inclined to agree but it is more complicated. The US have ammunition, Europeans don’t, .It is not simply a question of money, it is a question of stockpile and production, However, Europe should do more.

My experience is most of the people who passionately write here do not even take the time to keep them informed about the frontline and various developments. To me, it is embarrassing to comment as such while being lazy and nondedicated. The Russians will not be stopped. They have 4000 pieces of artillery in Ukraine; Ukraine has 2000. 300 pieces of Ukrainian artillery use 155mm NATO shells that need to be made and shipped from outside of Ukraine. Russian produces 3 times the amount of artillery shells that NATO countries can produce.
The comparisons don't work.
Russia is currently at peak war-economy production - at about 1.5 million 152mm/122mm shells per year.
NATO etc produced 600k 155mm shells in 2021. By the end of this year they will be hitting over 1 million. Friendly countries will also be producing large quantities of 152mm etc for Ukraine. Ukraine will also receive its additional million shells via Czechia soon too.
And then the big difference is accuracy. In 2022 Russia needed to fire something like 30 shells to hit a target Ukraines NATO artillery could hit first time. I don't doubt Russian aim has improved since.
And does Russia still have 4000 pieces of artillery? They've lost 12000 so far, which makes me think that 4000 may be an overestimate. But who knows.
The Americans said that the aid would be there the next day or the day after. It's been almost 10 days pull your finger out America. What are you stalling for. Everyday people die because of it.

Dream on, a lot of the assistance has been delivered already. Don’t forget it won’t be much. Note: The US doesn’t state how many shells etc, why? Because they don’t have much! The Ukrainian front is busy collapsing and that collapse will only get worse, like a dam overtopping it’s a trickle at first then becomes stronger and then gushes and then the dam totally breaks. This dam is already starting to crumble. There is nothing that the U.S. can send that will stop that. The title of this item is just nonsense. Ukraine is done!

There was an article in Politico that actually looked at the fine print of this "deal"...it's going to be YEARS before Ukraine starts getting any of the weapons and ammunition because those things have to be manufactured and shipped to Ukraine...oops.
Not really correct. Most of the weaponry is already in the US Strategic stockpile, and can just be broken out from that. It is true that replacing it in the stockpile will take time, but that's a different point.
That is not how it works. The presidential drawdowns have been reset by being repaid. Now Biden can issue presidential drawdowns again.

They dont have enough artillary shell anyway . 23 Bn was given to industry for previous production which was already sent to Ukraine in the past, so the USA can re-stock. 14 bn was given to make new equipment for Ukraine

The naivety of believing that Putin can be reasoned with, if we only sit down and talk seriously with him, ignores both the many failed attempts to do exactly that in the months leading up to the war and the many treaties and agreements that Putin and people like him have disregarded before. He is not a reasonable and rational actor, the sooner you realise the better. Ukraine cannot hope to survive on Putin's good will (nonexistent) and his word (worthless), they need to be able to resist Russian aggression. Western aid can allow them to do that.
