  • Today I will be evaluating a sampling of the Stedi brand nippers and see how they stack up against the reigning champ.

Great review on the sprue cutters, I have a set of the better Tamiya cutters, about $70aus, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍

It seems like a good alternative to the ultimate God Hand. Fortunately for me, I bought two pairs of God hands for about 50 bucks a year ago. I might look for this or other quality single-bladed nippers in the future. I don't stress test my God hands like you so hopefully it'll be a while before I need replacements.

my godhand broke in just over a year (one of the mid grade ones) so im giving stedi a try. perhaps im wrong but i thought you were supposed to use crappy/entry grade nippers for getting the parts off the runner and then the single blade godhand type nippers JUST for removing the excess from the part itself. i dont think they are intended to be cutting through the runner itself in other words.. but i could just be wrong too.

That is one way of doing it. You are not supposed to be cutting parts over something like 3mm or something. Fingers crossed but mine are still running after a couple years

@@WasatchModeler i suspect all that daban plastic pushed it harder than the spongy bandai plastic does. It didn't snap in half or anything, the "pin" that causes it to open back up after nipping broke.
