  • First time in the RS5 on the Ring, this was the last lap, #4. It was trickey to go any faster because of damp patches and very low asphalt temperature.

      The Quattro drive system makes the car very easy to push.

      3 years late on this but this is how you drive an awd car that is front wheel biased and has a v8 in the front. You just turn the steering wheel as much as possible and the car does the rest.

    Nothing wrong with your driving :), but at that speed with no helmet is playing a little bit with your health.

    • @Pogost1ck
      @Pogost1ck Před 10 lety +2

      You could wonder what good a helmet would do when you have airbags and no rollcage. I dont think it'd help much, though it might.

      Helms will not stop force/shock from travelling through to the brain. But it will protect the skull against impact. I am not sure how Airbags and the car will hold up at very high speed crashes.

    looks like the quattro hepled you a lot there... should have blasted past the seat as the audi is a much more capeable car...

      It's still a very nice and beautiful car though! I'm well up for a R8 V8, I wonder how that would manage on the Ring. I've sold the RS5 now.

    • @Rock7132
      @Rock7132 Před 7 lety

      Oh, yes, I love the car (aside from the shitty gas mileage). I owned several BMWs and a loaded A5 with S-Line before this. None have gotten as many looks and compliments as my RS5. It helps that it's Misano Red! The R8 would do much better than the RS5 around the Ring. Not as heavy, especially in the nose, but still with Quattro.

      @cream2257 Před 6 lety +1

      Are you really comparing a r8 with an rs5?

  • @alinturbut

    The steering does not look precise. How does it actually feel?

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  Před 8 lety +2

      Very little to no feeling at all with the steering, the newer Audi's are known for it. And the car itself is just to nose heavy on the track.

    • @alinturbut
      @alinturbut Před 8 lety

      +M Bekker So sad to hear that. I am looking into buying an A5 2.0t quattro and coming from an astra gtc I am bit frightened about it's dynamics, as my 07 GTC is really a pleasure to throw around the corners.

  • @anjeroxjp
    @anjeroxjp Před 7 lety

    how does the handling compare to the b6 s4?

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  Před 7 lety +3

      anjeroxjp Completely different, the S4 had way more 'feel' but in any case, the Rs5 outperforms the S4 on every front. The car is just more focused on sporty driving than the S4 but that's to be expected!

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  Před 9 lety +1

      I wish! I've wrecked these brakes completely in about 10 laps on the ring.. the car is just to heavy to really enjoy on the track

      @Justin8999 Před 9 lety

      that's what I thought the serial brakes are weak :P and so generally speaking , are you satisfied with the RS5? I mean driving on a daily basis? I myself wonder what to buy, RS5 or M3, but not on the track. Sory for my english (google)

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  Před 9 lety

      Justin8999
      Hi Justin,
      I haven't driven the M3 and can't really say anything about the car. My preference is defenitely the Rs5 because of outside bodywork and inside interior. I'm just an Audi guy. But.. I recon the M3 is nicer on track because of better feeling with steering and the rear wheel drive.. the Rs5 is kinda heavy on the nose and the power steering doesn't give you any feeling in the front of the car. But I still love it :)

    Very good driver, horrible car tho, nothing but understeer on the limit.😢 typical Audi

      I can tell your some delusional butt hurt hater. All cars have understeer to a point. 8:10 on a damp track with 2 people is a very very good time. The 2014 bmw m4 had 8 minutes lap time. If the audi is such a bad car then how come it has such a time with 2 people on a damp track? I think this audi is older aswell. The new audis completely destroy bmws. Audi rs3 7:33 whilst bmw m4 comp xdrive 7:31 bmw m3 cs 7:29. And the rs3 cost half of what these cars do. Delusional bmw fanboy. Also look at lap times with the rs5. Faster than the bmws. Just the rs5 comes with bad hankook tyres.
