Lyrics:
Living after midnight, rockin' to the dawn
Lovin' 'til the morning, then I'm gone, I'm gone
I took the city 'bout one A.M, loaded, loaded
I'm all geared up to score again, loaded, loaded
I come alive in the neon light
That's when I make my moves right
Living after midnight, rockin' to the dawn
Lovin' 'til the morning, then I'm gone, I'm gone
Got gleaming chrome, reflecting steel, loaded, loaded
Ready to take on every deal, loaded, loaded
My pulse is racing, I'm hot to take
This motor's revved up, fit to break
Living after midnight, rockin' to the dawn
Lovin' 'til the morning, then I'm gone, I'm gone
I'm aiming for ya
I'm gonna floor ya
My body's coming
All night long
The air's electric, sparkin' power, loaded, loaded
I'm getting hotter by the hour, loaded, loaded
I set my sights and then home in
The joint starts flying when I begin
Living after midnight, rockin' to the dawn
Lovin' 'til the morning, then I'm gone, I'm gone
[repeat and fade] - Hudba
I'm from Gernany. It was in 1980 and I was 12 to that time. I had a lot of problems - my grandma was suffering from cancer, my mother was on the edge of her nerves and I had big problems at school. My mother forbade me to watch TV, but when she was out of home I didn't care about it. So I watched TV and it was some music in a show - at first Status Quo as a kind of foreplay - but then I saw THIS VIDEO and for the very first time in my life I heard Judas Priest. I was electrified, totally fascinated, blown away!!! The TV-show did not mention the band and the title, but some weeks or months later I heard "Breaking The Law" at the radio and I soon remembered THIS song! And this time the radio speaker mentioned the name of the band - Judas Priest! This guys are my favourite band and will be so til my deathbed. And I want their music to be played at my funeral!
ILL GO TO YOUR AND PALY JUDAS PRIEST BUDY
Great remembering the past
Which Germany did live in at the time mate?
Old school for sure ❤
You are so right, I am from Germany too and I was 16 in 1980. This is still one of my all time favorites. Hard Rock and Heavy Metal from the 80 like Judas Priest, Scorpions, AC/DC, Gun‘s Roses is still the music I love and never gets old. Greetings and Grüße from Bad Orb in Germany.
I'm so glad that Rob was able to make it for the start of the video. It would have been disastrous if he missed it!
indeed LOL
You don't understand dude, the world moved forward to make it to rob.

Hey. Judas Priest was the best thing happening to me in (different world)
long live british heavy metal..
yes that right
That's right im British proud
What about America; the greatest country on earth?
Merica's metal is a buncha idiots screamin like girls into the mic.. british metal is where its at!
@Billy Hill Like your likes videos. I'm a Tommy fan as well.
Looking back at history and seeing the rise of rock it would be an absolute pleasure to see the Priest at this time.
@@MIZORAM_mafaka_hnamte I have no idea. I started doing this while making videos late at night but I have no idea how this happened. I mean Im happy but your guess is as good as mine.
@@MIZORAM_mafaka_hnamte You say this as if getting "top comments" was some sort of meaningful achievement. Hahahaaa
Maybe you should get a life where you make a difference in the world, eh?
@@NostalgiaMan dude you're everywhere
I think that maybe you are an exception in this that I will write, but I have seen how many channels use a strategy of commenting by sending their bots to like their comments and remain at the top and get other subs for standing out in the comments.
It is a theory although not very far from reality in terms of channels "that do whatever it takes for subs".
Sheffield City Hall,i was in the crowd. British Steel Tour
Only recently gotten into Judas Priest and this is one of my favourite songs of theirs. Rob Halford is a phenomenal frontman and vocalist.
Rebecca! Check out this! Electric Eye Live! My FAVORITE Judas Priest song...and THE GREATEST STAGE ENTRANCE EVER!!

Listen to the early stuff if you like his voice. 😮 You won't be disappointed.
my 2nd favorite Judas Priest song. "You got another thing coming" still my favorite
This is the catchy radio hit song. They have so much better ones.
@@adriantrusca1245 i agree with you. this song is still good tho
This is such a happy and care-free song! it sounds more like rock than metal
It is rock definitely
Lol, metal is also rock.
Tell that to the parents of the kids who grew up dancing to 40s and 50s music!
This song is 100% hard rock, there's nothing metal in it. Actually, It could be an AC/DC song (for the music, not for the vocals of course). I honestly don't understand why people think if Judas Priest is mainly labeled as a metal band, it means all of their songs must be metal. Actually, before Painkiller, they were half a hard rock, half a heavy metal band.
I hate to arguing about genres/subgenres because it always ends with that 'YOU'RE A FUCKIN ELITIST' bullshit by people who doesn't have a valid arguement, but I had to say this.
Its metal, i grew up in the 80ies and rock was like Deep Purple, Blackmore/Rainbow, Stones. This is so far into metal that theres no question at all. Deep Purple fits well into hard rock by the way, but Vucskó Gábor, seriously, take your meds, youre delirious. Even Queen was hard rock, Judas Priest can at a minimum be described as HEAVY ROCK or metal, but not hard rock, i dont think you even know what hard rock is. I mean, what ARE you smoking.
I was fifteen when this came out...mid-Wales, sheep and British Steel ✌. A classic, still listening at 55!
Quality music never dies, no matter what the genre. I'll listen to George Straight if I'm in the mood for country, but I'm usually in the mood for METAL!!!
You forgot to mention the condom
I'm still listening at almost 57! Judas Priest is AWESOME!!
🤘🏻
I was 12 when this came out i had it the day it came out too !!
It's my eleventh wedding anniversary and apparently it needs a 'steel' gift. I bought my wife a 'British Steel' t-shirt. Perfect
Nice job!
Best gift ever! czcams.com/video/cUxI4zn5a_I/video.html Check out our cover of this!
16 years old when British Steel was released in 1980. Remember hearing this song on the radio in New York in 1980. 1980: what a year! Heaven and Hell, Back in Black, British Steel, Blizzard of Ozz, Animal Magnetism, Women and Children First, Ace of Spades, and the NWOBHM era. There was no stopping hard rock and heavy metal in 1980! But, in 1979, no Ozzy in Sabbath, no Joe Perry in Aerosmith, KISS (questionable disco year), but the one bright spot in 1979 was the Disco Demolition Night (too bad we didn't do that with rap). That era of 1979/1980, we had Hard Rock, punk rock, new wave, disco, and soft rock, and what still exists today? I think it's obvious.
Hey Millennials, this is what good music sounds like!
Your right! But unfortunately no one makes good music anymore.
Hold my beer

Watch ya yap 1983 here I grew up with this
One of the best tracks from the entire history of Heavy Metal. It still hits the mark over 40 years on and still demands to be played loud!

Doing it now! 62 years young ..
I was an 80s teenager! Is ok if you feel jealous, i can understand!!!
I turned 20 in 1983. I first heard this when I was 17. I wouldn't trade those days for anything.
I was a teenager first in 2005, I love this music most. I have seen Priest live.
80s were great for music...
I was into punk/post punk/goth in teens....but to be fair I liked most music.... Still do at 54
You lucky bast**** 😉🤘
British Steel + Screaming for Vengeance + Defenders of the Faith = a trilogia de ouro do Judas Priest, a melhor banda de heavy metal do mundo!
All Judas priest is great.
@@chriswildhaber35 Have some exceptions, friend... Thanks for your opinion!
Painkiller é o melhor álbum disparado.
@@GBELCHIOR616 É, a maioria hoje prefere o Painkiller, mas eu prefiro bem mais a trinca dos anos 80 do JP que eu citei acima!
What about the Stained Class and Killing Machine? They are really good.
I used to listen to this song everytime when I was on my way to work in another city at 3am tired as hell I remember specifically being the only car driving at that time speeding down the lonely highway with all the windows down enjoying the cold crisp air hitting my face with this song blasting loud as hell, it would always bring me the adrenaline rush I needed to wake up and get motivated. Ahh I love it.....
Luis yes! One great driving song!
That is Effing Awesome !!

I hear ya brother, back when i worked early shifts some good old rock in the car always woke me up good :)

My first concert. 1982. 13 years old. Had my mom drop me off like I was going to a movie with my friend but then we walked to Aladdin theatre in Vegas. Down the street. 7000 seats. It was epic. Good choice for first. Concert. Then I learned it was my last Priest record I was into. But I realized that their back catalog rules. I love super early priest. Super unique.
This was filmed in 1980 at Sheffield city hall
Been a fan since the early 80’s. Long live the Priest!

A strong contender for the greatest heavy metal anthem of all time.

So many weird comments. I’ve been a JP fan since 1974 & hopefully many fans are still here to enjoy what JP is about since the beginning ❤️

After seeing John Redcorn listening to this by himself at the end of a King Of The Hill episode, I like him even more 🤘
She has electric sparkling powers..That's great.
I was born after midnight. I loved Judas Priest.
Back when they had real rock music!!
Best damn jamminest tune ever, you can't turn this one up loud enough, at 62 , i still piss off my neighbors, not my problem they are a bunch of stoddards..
Rob Halford is heavy metals most effortlessly intense and awesome vocalist, singing this fist pumping party all night anthem for an angry generation of denim and leather, boots, and long hair youth and i was one of them, let me tell ya the girlz back then were gorgeous, with even more beautifully open attitudes.
being an 80s rocker was the absolute best time ever.
Your exactly right such good times I remember My first husband loved them ozzy, and Rush, and Ronnie James Dio man I miss them times rocking out and driving in my 67 camaro. Such simpler times then today.
1980 - I was 14 and living in the UK and this song founded my life long love of heavy metal and Rock, I now live in Spain and the Rock Emporium festival in Cartegena every year is a must (especially at the age of 56) lots of retro Acts - Deep Purple headlining next year and I see the Tygers of Pan Tang also - saw them in Tunbridge Wells at a Caroline Rock show - anyway Viva The Priest!!

Tonight's a good night to rock and roll after midnight with the almost full moon yo!
I can listen to the intro over and over, just the drums, then those guitars kick in!!!!
You noted the drums. Interesting enough, Dave Holland got his start in Trapeze. They let him do more than he did in Priest. Guess he was there to keep the beat while Ken & Glen traded solos. Check out Dave in Trapeze sometime. You'll be surprised how good he actually was...

People need more songs like this, not only from Judas, we need a new wave of heavy metal (Rock)
It is coming soon. Japan and eastern European counties have a ton of great new talent, as well as too many other countries I can't type them all. I think that a lot of people are getting sick of a lot of the spoon-fed drivel played on radio. We need a change...for the better!
