  • In this video tutorial, I will show you how to use basic formulas in Libre Office Calc 6.
    Understanding how formulas work in spreadsheets can save you lots of time. You can use formulas to repeat processes like adding numbers together or create more custom complex formulas for data analysis.
    In this video tutorial, I will give you a basic understanding of how formulas work, these same formulas work in Open Office Calc and Microsoft Excel.
    Libre Office is a free alternative to Microsoft Office 365.
    I would have to say Microsoft Office is better and more robust, so you may consider this in the future.
    But in general day to day work Libre Office should be an acceptable solution.

    How would I make a formula for subtraction? I want to do some mileage data, and subtract beginning numbers from ending numbers. Would I use the '=IF and then the greater or lesser sign? Thanks in advance. Can you tell I am new at this? 🤷‍♀️

    Having some trouble with Calc, hoping maybe someone here can help.
    When putting the months or the weekdays, Calc will display them automatically in sequence as one would expect but only if the default language is Spanish {I use Spanish and English languages for Calc}. When I change the default language to English and try doing the same it will not display them sequentially, just repeat Monday or January.
    What is the fix for this?
    Regards.

    • @dcpwebdesigners
      @dcpwebdesigners  Před 2 lety

      After you feel the sequence there should be an option just below the last cell which allows you to select series filling

    Hi what function do I use to determine the monthly payment on an amortization?
    I'd like to input the amount of the loan, the number of months and the interest rate.
    From that data I'd like to generate the monthly payment amount.
    Thanks much :)

      Make sure you save the file as clac file or excel file, CSV does not retain formumas

      Try to copy the data into a new blank spreadsheet and then save to your desktop, that might fix the issue
