- After a long grind the ultimate solo world record for exodus has been played.
I do not think this will ever get beaten but I would love to see it.
Exodus is my favorite map because there is no drill and there is a lot of time to save in the medusa fight.
Basically the map exist of 22,5 minutes activating generators and setting up until you go into the medusa fight.
In this stage every kill fills the medusa device until its ready to activate. I went trough countless strategies trying to kill as fast as possible to fill the device. In a fast playthrough it takes about 10 minutes to do the medusa, in my previous WR it was 7 minutes and now I did it in only 3,5 minutes.
So the world record improved with 3 minutes.

Hey nice run! How did you put down all your crafted grenades in that one spot? Looks really helpful if you can stack grenades there for the boss fight at the end
If you craft grenades while you have another type of grenade in your inventory it will drop the grenades in your inventory on the ground.
You can craft as many as you want
You know it’s gonna be a great game when you get bulldog out of locker & ark attachment for it. That thing melts rhinos in about 7 shots (with fully upgraded weapon specialist)

Why did you run weapon specialist and engineer, just curious? I always run medic because I hate scorpion spit.
I run them to speed up the medusa fase. Weapon specialist increases reload speed and 50% extra damage for guns. Engineer increases doubles trap and explosion damage and traps last longer. Because of this I can make kills more quickly and finish the medusa faze with only 1 ancestor spawning instead of 3

Cripted slayer doesn't work that wel with shotguns

@@Garuerithat is one reason. the other reason is that explosive ammo turns shotgun bullets into slugs
@@mr.lekker3810 I just saw a video showing that the slug has way higher dps by a guy named misci but still, I don't aim shotguns, that's why its called no aim no brain gun

The fastest way to beat this map is from left to right, ( the sticky flare schematic side) there’s not a faster route also crafting everything while the doors and generators are on progress, ( just like you did on the video) I was able to beat this map in under 24 minutes back when the game was still on its peak (Xbox 360) then I showed my strategy to some of the top players that were around back then and they all used my strategy to farm quick wins and teeth, they obviously never say anything about it because they were pretty selfish people. Nice run btw I still love this game even if I don’t play it anymore.
I don't think this map can't be beaten in 24 minutes. The doors and generators all have a set time it takes for them to complete so you can't speed it up. Would love to see a faster run send me a link if you have it somewhere
@@extrabier6969 yes it can I’ve done it multiple times on the Xbox 360 with another guys I don’t play anymore, if I had a link I’d gladly send it to you but I don’t I never had the equipment to record also I don’t play the game anymore, you can try tho.

Can I get a reply from the creator 2 years later?! Also what ancestor advice can you give. (I’ve never played exodus before and have no idea how to kill them. From what I’ve seen on yt their attacks are confusing af)
Yea sure!
Ancestors can spawn shields that make them invulnerable for quite a while which makes them really annoying to deal with. You can remove the shield with a charge shot of the NX12 or a NX grenade. My advice would be to kill them as fast as possible, remove the shields when he makes one and keep shooting till its dead. If you deal with him fast the rest becomes a lot easier. If the other enemy's are annoying just use a flare while you kill him.

@@BillboMC yea the times are fixed, doesn't matter what order you do the gens or doors in. The first 23 minutes are set. Good luck with the run

What happen is the time runs out in the end of the medusa fight
nothing special really,
Because I open the door after the ancestor has spawned in the timer displays the ancestors timer you normally wont see.
When the timer runs out the next ancestor will spawn like it normally would.
But with this method I was able to save a lot of time.

is this the door glitch? and if so how is it allowed as the WR if it only exists on 1 platform?
Yea in this run I use the door glitch in the medusa fight to speed things up. The spawns go a bit insane and it allows for a nice spawntrap place. Tbh I don't know why it is allowed, extinction is a pretty dead game so there are no moderaters or rules really. Because of that I did the no door glitch run so people can see how to beat the map fast without it
@@extrabier6969 damn :/ well I appreciate you doing a run without it so I can learn from that. Wanted to start speedrunning this map as it's my favorite, but wont be able to go for the record as I don't play on the 360 :(

@@LoadingScreen115back in the day instead of playstation, xbox had a deal with call of duty. The call of duty's and the DLC's would release a month earlier on 360 than on ps3 and pc. This is probably where it comes from if I had to guess. they fixed the glitch when it released on ps3 and pc but did not bother to do fix it on 360. They where probably more busy on re releasing it on new consoles

@@extrabier6969 I know how to strafe in play 3 and 4 without much problem, try it and it will work out for you, just like on pc, but it will take time if you do another speedrun brother, try it, it's a matter of practice. equally well done :)

So the Medusa fight is based off of cryptid kills?
yea all kills fill the meter but mamoths and rino's fill it faster so thats why I spawntrap those. Ancesters also fill the meter a lot

@@6611henry yes its a glitch lol,
normally if you get the right ancestor only gargoyls and bombers spawn but with the door the spawns get so crazy it can be done in one ancestor

I am ranked top 10 for poc normal & hardcore
My best time on exodus is 29 minutes. This is increadible. Great job. I love how they remake the same boring old Zombies sh*t but never gave this a chance. Extinction if actually fun & enjoyable. U have things to grind (teeth) & u can use relics for more difficulty with actual aesthetically pleasing & fun maps. Everyone just hated this gamemode because it wasn't treyarch and as soon as one person says it's bad they all copy.
