Yes the cord comes underneath the plastic.. so the metal part came off as well. I asked for the smallest strimmer that would run on my battery’s. If I was buying again I would ask for the smallest strimmer that had an adjustable throttle.
I really wish I could. My throttle is like a mouse click. It’s either on or off. Mine was manufactured in February 2020 so maybe they have updated it. But mine hasn’t got an adjustable throttle
It’s hard to say but I’ve never run out of power before I’ve got bored strimming. The AP200 is a good compromise between weight and amp hours. The AP100 is a bit to little and the AP300 is a bit to heavy. Unless your using a big chainsaw.
@@PhilipHollowaychannel I'm planning on buying this trimmer. I have an old motor trimmer and it takes me about 1.5-2h to mow my jungle. Would the AP200 suffice, in your opinion, or should I go for more Ah with the AP300?
@@filipmaric9496 If you’re planning on strimming for an hour and a half or two hours I would personally get a bigger model stihl strimmer send this one. The strimmer is okay but I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy duty streaming. The reason I have it is mainly just so I can quickly whiz around the edges where my mower doesn’t get rather than getting the petrol Strimmer out
I’m sorry but I haven’t tried taking the head off yet. But this strimmer is really only a light back garden cutter. I would go for a larger model with an adjustable throttle and interchangeable heads. Hope this helps
fsa85 has a bigger cutting diameter...did you remove the metal part that trims the cord down to the right length too?

I don't understand when you say it doesn't have an adjustable throttle, I find it easy enough to back off the revs?

Thanks for the vid.
How long does your AP 200 battery last with this trimmer?
