As a USMC combat veteran - who *WAS* like SO MANY of my brothers and sisters in arms, completely and totally brainwashed by right wing propaganda leading up to the 2016 election (and sadly even beyond until mid-way thru his term and it became too much too ignore and i could no longer defend the indefensible)... i owe secretary Clinton a sincere apology from the bottom of my heart. She was 1000% correct on the threat donald trump posed and i only wished i had opened my eyes to that tragic reality before we got to this point... it is my hope and prayer that the rest of the veteran community - and the rest of America wakes up to the extremist christo-fascist threat that this despicable, grifting traitor and his cult pose to our way of life - and the very fabric of American democracy and democracy around the world.

I feel that. I believed the propaganda about her and ended up not voting in 2016. For me it was a choice between a criminal and an idiot and so I didn’t vote for either. I also owe her an apology. And I regret my choice every day.

I was one of the people who saw Trump early on for what he is. When I tried to convey that to friends and acquaintances, a blank stare is what I got back. Or the kind of look that says, "oh you're being too dramatic." Now what I hear from some of these folks runs along the lines of, "I just wish it would all go away," with no hint at the need for their involvement.
Many Americans have gotten so passive, ignorant and lazy about their civic responsibility that only something like 30% typically vote in presidential elections. And a big percentage of those seem to think that an actor (Reagan, Trump), a make believe cowboy (GW) and a big mouthed, crooked bully full of self pity and empty promises would make a great leader of the free world. 🙄
It broke my heart and changed my world view when Ms. Clinton lost to Trump. In my head she is still Madame President. She's brilliant and well spoken, caring and brave. She was instrumental in making sure children like mine, with disabilities could still get a public education. Thank you for featuring her here, and showing us what we missed out on, and that she is still here as an amazing resource. I'm proud of her and, I'm still with her. ❤️
I wasn't a huge fan, but once she got the nomination, I was all in. Think how different things would be if she had won. We have to do better.

5/31/24 Less than 12 hours ago, trump was found guilty of 34 felony counts in the Manhattan courthouse and is now a convicted felon. Today of all days, I can’t believe my good fortune to have run across this Democracy Docket/Marc Elias interview of Hillary Clinton from six weeks ago, April 19 (which was four days after the DJT trial began on April 15). This was a wonderful interview with a lady I have long admired and voted for in 2016, Hillary Clinton. I actually got chills down my spine as I listened to her insight into all things DJT. She knows him well and the threat he is to our democracy. I just wish everyone could see this interview. Marc worked on Hillary’s campaign, so they know each other. So, Marc was able to ask just the right questions to make this a fascinating interview. I can’t wait to share this with my younger sister, as she and I attended two of her campaign rallies in NC in October 2016.

I remember Mrs. Clinton's debate with tRump. He was sniffling and stalking her. She, of course, withstood the onslaught with perfect professional.. She is brilliant! We must drug test all debate applicants by independent medical professionals. If they fail the drug test they must leave.

I hurried home from work breathless with anticipation, hoping that I was going to watch Hillary Clinton become the first woman president. I’ve never been so disappointed and shocked. Agreed. We're still wondering how Trump managed to get a whooping 304 electoral votes. We think, since the fake elector debacle he orchestrated against the 2020 election was stopped, that he probably engineered several slates of fake electors which were undetected. Trump has a tendency towards manipulating votes in order to win. In short, a penchant for cheating.
So we believe there were fake electors at work which helped give Trump those 304 electoral votes. Further we believe Trump engineered 'finding votes' by having Secretaries of state loyal to him steal Hilary's ballots by altering the name on those ballots from Clinton to Trump. The same thing he attempted to do in Georgia and believably elsewhere. Just being a bit hypothetical since it's mind-boggling that anyone who wins a popular vote by a landslide would have less electoral votes than her or his opponent.
Time will tell if our hypothesis about the fraud in 2016 is correct on all points. Democracy 2024!😎👍

I think she has been through quite enough. I know from experience that you can only take so much, and no matter what she does or says, she will be under horrific attacks and danger. She is anyhow because of whackadoos. Imagine not being able to have any kind of life because of thes crazy people. They are awful criminals of very evil intent that use our legal system to get away with it, too. But one day, we will be freed of this horrid part of human nature, or the sons if the devil. I like her a lot more today than I did in 2016. I voted third party because I believed the polling. At the time, I didn't realize I was handing my vote to Trump.
I just told my sister about this interview and forwarded it because I was so moved. She said that she was still in mourning that Hillary didn’t become our 45th president. The shock of the morning after the election has never left her, or me.
Listening to Hillary respond to Marc’s questions so thoughtfully-informed and grounded-was inspiring. A prophet, a hero is not overstated. She has taken her losses and transformed them into a deeper wisdom that she willingly shares with those that have ears to hear. That is what hero’s and prophets do.
Nicely said, that morning was very sad as if after the funeral.

What a outstanding woman in so many ways. I enjoy paying attention to what she has to say and how she is able to verbalize her thoughts. I am also proud to say that I voted for Hillary in 2016 - with the other one I could see the writing on the wall.
Being 74 years old I remember Hillary coming on the scene and even then she faced an uphill climb with the good ole boys mentality - and she soared above them. People thought she was chilly - far from it. We were so robbed from having Hillary as POTUS - yet there were many things that enriched the people of the USA coming from the service of this indomitable woman.

I can confidently say that she is one of the most politically intelligent people I know.
