How the tire just missed the grandstands in turn 2 still boggles me that no one got hit. But bad luck to the owner of the car that was damaged.
That was almost another 1999 Charlotte tragedy.

I wonder how indycar will prevent that. I’m not sure how lucky they realize they got. That tire would have killed 6+ people mid race live tv. I wonder how indycar plans to keep those tires on better

Upgrades to the car, but not the catchfence. Dunno how IndyCar chose to only focus on one aspect of the problem instead of everything. Just asking for trouble keeping the fence at the same height 😬
