- While searching for a Chameleons song to react to, I realized that I reacted to "Swamp Thing" over a year ago! So, we're finally back! One word that best describes this band would be: underrated. From Mark Burgess' profound vocals to John Lever militaristic drumming, it's one of their best works.
Thanks for watching!

Seen them several times live and they are just as good, even now. last saw them in December 2023 in Manchester England, they were excellent.
We are seeing them in Bristol in December
Legendary. Underrated. Fucking brilliant.
agree
No matter how many times I've heard this song, it's as if I'm just discovering it and I'm hooked all over again. It never gets old. RIP Lever. You should give Love Like Blood by Killing Joke a go.
ABSOLUTELY ADORE this band. They had a brilliant twin guitar attack that was so beautifully woven into the driving rhythm section... and Mark's amazing lyrics and vocals. Lever was an amazing drummer (R.I.P.) and you can REALLY hear it brilliantly on many songs in their catalog (Check out their masterpiece of a debut single "IN SHREDS" and you'll be blown away... I promise!... or "LOOKING INWARDLY"... Lever just goes off!
Other BRILLIANT songs to check out from this criminally underrated band: "THE FAN AND THE BELLOWS", "HERE TODAY" (about the death of John Lennon from his perspective... a haunting gem of a song), "SECOND SKIN" (Considered by many to be their best song), "EVERYDAY I'M CRUCIFIED" and "TEARS" (both acoustic and electric versions are great).
The Chameleons have so many great songs... and their impact was huge... including on Interpol and a lot of post-punk bands. They really nailed the dire feelings of the day with horrible governments (Thatcher / Reagan), the Cold War and fear of nuclear obliteration. They were such a powerful force. Cheers!
Chameleons were one of my favourite bands ,only 2nd to "The Sound"
Whenever there's any discussion about The Chameleons, you don't have to look far for a comment about The Sound.

Always loved this song. Timeless. Could stand up today as well as it did 40 years ago!
DO more by this BAND!!! Anything from them is amazing. Is It Any Wonder is my request by them.
What a song 🎵!
The long player Script of the bridge is proudly hanging from my wall. Eternal love. C
Saw The Chameleons last Monday live in Bristol, incredible band, should have gone global but gave the record companies the finger
More Chameleons, please, kind sir! I'm seeing Chameleons Vox open for the Mission UK in September and I'm super excited. I believe I last saw them in 2009. It was a magical night so I look forward to seeing them again and getting some video clips and pics so I can capture the memories forever 🥹
Only knew a remix of Swamp Thing. Thank you for introducing me to this one. They are awesome!
Ah. I loved them in the early 80s!
One of the other interesting indie bands from the late 80’s, early 90’s is The House of Love, signed to creation records. Their first two albums are really good.
They didn't really DO the lead guitar-rhythm guitar thing. One of the reasons I love them so much.
Fuck it, a masterpiece.
Think Dave is lead, not sure.. they play off each other him and Reg. Don't Fall should be your next choice by The Chameleons.
There must be something wrong boys...Gets to the nitty gritty of life.. There MUST be something wrong uh?
Huge. Simply HUGE. ❤️❤️❤️
3:35 hear that 1 second of early grunge?!
Excellent, excellent choice!
enjoy this melodic masterpiece by The Chameleons sir.

Excellent choice, would have preferred to see the original album cover though.
This is another good band. Thatcher On Acid - Revolution Of One 🙂
👍Manic street preachers - The Everlasting
The full album version is perfect.
Tears would be my recommend if you do another chameleons song. There are two recorded versions a more acoustic and more electric sort of sounding one both great [:
Great reaction to a great song, but slow down a bit with the verbal, you're going 19 to the dozen there!
I've tried to slow down, and I always just end up talking fast again! Idk what's wrong with me.
