Lisle: “Now a warning...”
Ashton: “NOW a Warning?!”

Isabella almost laught
Best line LOL
My favorite moment in the movie!!! LOL
One of the most underrated Hollywood classics. Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn and of course Meryl Streep were at the top of their dark comedy game, Isabella looked stunning, an absolute favorite 💖
Bruce Willis was hilarious in this.
Agree 💯💯💯💯💯💯
@@JM-zk9ouwithout a doubt he was funny.
It's a cult movie, I don't think it's underrated
@@ManuelLopez-vo5qp you don't usually see it highlighted in Bruce Willis's resume, or even in Goldie's or Meryl's, i'd say it's both a cult movie and underrated.
The part when her butt lifts and she turns back to look at it was hilarious. The sound effect was so funny, and that smile she gave was 🔥
Yes that is my favorite part at 6:17.
6:18
@@stevesutherlin5870 best part
@@vader4543 I know.
Right? This entire scene was perfect but that end with the mirror, nothing is gonna compare, seriously.
Isabella Rossellini looks absolutely DIVINE
"NOW a warning?!" Will FOREVER be funny to me
Yes, and in a very swedish dialect, just like her mom Ingrid Bergman 😊 especially in the Agatha Cristy film “death on the orient express “ her mom has a very strong Swedish dialect, same as in this scene
Now she is 71 years old!! Love her
Still looking great
"NOW a warning" Meryl's so iconic 😂
"the sordid topic of coin...." LOL. love this scene with these two legends.
The most powerful Avon saleswoman
I heard that the character of Liezel was originally going to be revealed as the real Cleopatra, and also on the cheque the potion cost $1 Mil.
That would have been good. As to the million: I'm sure Madonna has paid more than that so far, just to look bizarre.
From the looks of Goldie Hawn at 77...she may have too.
@@STho2051 million in the early 90s is like 3 million today I think.
Interesting.
Ooh that would have been a great reveal. Either Cleopatra or Lucrecia Borgia.....
I was obsessed with the potion bottle as a kid. The movie is great. I watch it every year.
This masterpiece of movie never gets old. Still looks so fresh and funny 😂
yeah it holds up well even all these years later just goes to show that cgi is cheapening movies nothing more
Isabella Rossellini's lines are very posh, beautifully chosen English.
I love her voice
" NOW a warning?!" My favourite moment!😂😅❤
“I want to be be alone.” And with that line is how, I learned about the eternal beauty that is Greta Garbo ❤
I always wanted to know who was she referring to when she said that line 😅 thank you so much!
No! She's...?
Wow!
@@rac6751So did I ! 😆
Who dat
@@dupe8383She was one of the most famous actresses back in the 1920s-1930s. She died in 1990 at 84 years old. The line quoted in this movie was actually misquoted, according to Greta herself.
I found this info about it on Google to be more specific:
“The most famous quip attributed to Greta Garbo is short and sardonic: “I want to be alone.” But the actress, who made a practice of shunning reporters, premieres and fan mail, claimed that she had been misquoted. “I never said, 'I want to be alone,'” she explained, according to a 1955 piece in LIFE magazine.”
Crazy how both Meryl Streep and Isabella Rossellini starred together - as of this writing, Meryl Streep and Isabella's mom Ingrid Bergman are two of the few female actresses to ever win three Oscars!
Frances McDormand too
And each of them won a supporting actress and two best actress Oscars!
This movie doesn’t get nearly as much recognition as it deserves
Totally agree. I saw this when it came out at the theaters. Amazing movie! And I really want that potion!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Its interesting how she says 'and continue to watch yourself rot' when she ended up having to watch herself literally rot
it's called irony
One of my absolute favourite movies of All time for years now
Yes this is mine and my cousin's most favorite one!
ME TOO! I know every line 😂😂😂
I love this film. So underrated with a cult following.
I want a perfume with this level packaging
Yes please!!!
'90s acting was so good
Girl - I LOVE that "gemstone blouse!" BTW - even as a "battle axe", Meryl Streep is gorgeous!
I can honestly say I truly understand this now. I’m 45 and do not want to hit that marker after of 50. I do not want wrinkles or age spots.
And yet, it is better than the alternative (to not hit 50).
@@thaumatomane this is true
Then start using sunscreen and eating well!!! My idol is Stevie Nicks. She says she's avoided the sun her whole life. She's 75!!!!!
@@galaxyglitterlatte4664 How? With an Umbrella? I think sunscreen is only for pale skin.
@@MixedChick1 She's avoided the sun by wearing sunscreen and not baking in the sun or using tanning beds. I've heard we will all look at 32 years old in Heaven. Supposedly that is when we look our best. I don't think sunscreen is just for pale skin.
10 years of perfect beauty and then an eternity of loneliness? I’m just thinking that’s such a terrible deal! When I first watched this, I remember thinking the potion was such a tempting offer. Now I can’t understand why she would do this
Yeah, 10 years really isn't a long time. A decade goes by super quickly.
Yeah me too, they literally can’t die, right? Eternal life seems awful
@@EmyN If it was just eternal youth, that would be ok, since you just never age, but could still actually die from other things and stay dead, instead of existing like they do here, after a fatal injury and just continue to rot.
@@Yabuturtle Yeah
Exactly
I love this movie since I saw it for the first time in my childhood, I was obsessed with the elixir because it reminded me of two things that I like, Egypt and Faberge eggs, I love this whole sequence of the movie and the character of Isabella Rosellini 😽😻
this is why never trust someone that stabs you and says they are loving you🤣🤣🤣
Yes she is so much like her mother.
Meryl's " *_Now_* a warning??! " is comedy gold. I wish this movie would get a worthwhile treatment on home media some day, a sparkling image and crisp sound. DBH is one of the best dark comedies I've discovered.
Isabella is finally 71yrs old lol😂
Lisle is absolutely gorgeous, stunning and her accent is so beautiful. The way she moves and her statue - just pike Cleopatra from Ancient Egypt
How old do you think I am . Don't try to flatter me.. eh 38..... smile vanished 🤣
I always had confused intertwined memories between Death Becomes Her with the Witches of Eastwick thinking it was the same movie as a kid.
Eastwick not Warwick. LOL
@@TheBOG3 see? 😂
she looked gorgeous here and so did goldie
My favorite part is the end “blah blah blah” cracks me up😂😂😂😂
Nobody is talking about this so I need to say it. That face shot in the mirror when the potion kicks in is masterful. The little bell jingle. The subtle use of shadow and perhaps I think they fused two shots together as well to make her face suddenly appear made up.
That potion doesn’t give them eternal youth. It turn them like a zombie 🧟♀️
One of the BEST COMEDIES ever !
Check okay?…fine 😂😂😂😂
No cause i love this scene so much. It’s fabulous, funny and gives me asmr. I don’t want to live forever but she would convince me ngl
It's too bad there isn't a potion to make us all young again, live for ever
This scene let alone the Actresses, Effects and Quirky Music...
Everything about this movie was perfect.
So frustrating it's being remade too....
Hollywood is ruining their best this way, remaking the classics. Arg...
It's being remade? Really?
Probably to include more diversity. The casts of movies can't be all-white anymore.
@@sharonjensen3016Bingo. Thank you. That's exactly how I feel about that too.
❤❤❤😂😂😂undoubtedly my top notch comfort movie of all time...live forever...death becomes her...
NOW, a warning???!!!
“I’m a girl “
🤫
And now she's 71 years old
I love the movie, I saw it in the cinema when it came out.
I wished Universal would release an uncut version on BR! 😌
My cousin is obsessed with Lisle!!!
Its so funny, she pays for this potion and is given a warning after taking it. And she is just walking out like oh now im gonna get younger i guess. Not sure if she stops because she feel differently or she just didnt want to get scammed, because when she gets to the mirror she is clearly not happy she isnt younger already
Streep is immortal in this
This is life ultimate cruelty, it offers the taste of youth and vitality 😆🤣
SO Iconic. 💜💜
In Spanish: "-Y ahora una advertencia." "¿¿AHORA una advertencia??". One of the best lines from the movie.
Isabella Rosillini is so Beautiful, Lancome / Ambassador that time ❤
@5:10 I never noticed this before! Inside the vial of the magic elixir there’s like a muscle dude in it! Look very close! What does that mean? Is it like someone’s soul and she’s drinking it or something? WTF is that??? I went back and watched - there’s another little person visible when she dips the knife in!
The way she walks is with such Grace
I want to know how that elixir bottle balances on its tip like that….
Easy: it's a bit of magic, in this world obsessed with science.
Magnets
Magnets under the table
“Imma girl” is forever funny😂
One of my all time favorite movies!
Rossolini...stunning
I love Isabella Rossellini she is so beautiful at any age !! And such an amazing actress
Check okay?
Fine.
This is real ....
This is a reflection of what top celebs take to maintain their young looks
Adrenochrome
Seen Micky Rourke?
Nah they just use high priced plastic surgeons that eventually become morticians spray painting corpses.
I’m very curious about the womens pins and symbols in her jeweled top, gives me an idea of like an Egyptian type of belief… I have read / seen information most of those cults/ beliefs relate to ancient Egypt so anywho I find it 🧐 interesting
@@yalitzaotero2765 the original idea was to suggest the witch was Cleopatra...but they decided that was stretching disbelief too far and Mannequin 1&2 had already done something like that.
The potion was revealed in a small casket with an Egyptian ankh (looped cross of eternal life and cheating death) which seems an obvious symbol for this movie. Most likely all the decorations and jewelry was imagined Egyptian.
She says she is 71 to make it believable. If she said she was 600 years old, it would sound too far fetched to believe.
So humorous!!!!!!! 😂
So that’s how Elijah Woods pulled it off
what?
the internet is an extraordinary place SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW MUCH THAT CHECK WAS FOR?
How did you manage to upscale it in 4k? With A.I. software? Amazing!
Bottoms up 😂😂😂 I would’ve been right with her 🤣
"Check ok"😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is my favorite part of the movie!
Love this movie ❤
Esse filme se chama: "A morte lhe cai bem". É muito bom!
"38"?....
Lisle: WTF????
Шедевр. Великий фильм с великими актерами!
Meryl’s great in this movie 😂
Looking back, phenomenal performances, before Meryl did Mamma Mia, and Mary Poppins Returns. What a powerhouse she is.
This is where they got those makeup advent calendar ideas from 💁🏼♀️
Lol her face when she guesses 38 hahahaha
"Now a warning!" 🤣
This scene is soooo magical she is so beautiful Isabella l
I turned 60 about 3 weeks back. Where can I get that potion?! I really want it! LOL!!! 🤣
"NOW a warning?!!!"
I NEED THAT BLOODY PORTION FOR MY WRINKLED NECK😂😂😂😂😂😂
God, Issabella Rossalini was gorgeous.
6:19 nice 🤭
Have you upscaled the footage with AI or is there a native restored 4k Scanner available somewhere?
ADORE merril streep ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love Meryl 😂
3:32 *LAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!*
I love it
A love this movie❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I've heard that in a deleted scene from this lisle is actually supposed to be over 600 years old
Why don't they make movies like that anymore. Original, entertaining, clever, funny, atmospheric.
“71” so you were born in what the 1930’s and you just decided to speak like you were from the middle ages
Cool great scene love this one Meryl Streep is great awesome scene
Wtf! Have u noticed that at 5:12 there a face in the tonic?
I saw a skull twice
Yes!! Its like a Superman face, right?
NOW a warning?! 😂😂😂😂
Me at 44 so relating to this Lol.
Классный фильм!
She only gave the warning after she had the potion that was naughty of her !! She could have asked more questions
That check likely bounced
