Romans 8 holds the key to understanding whatâs happening inside of us as Christianâs.
You are not every thought and feeling that goes through your mind and body. You WERE a slave, just flesh and blood, but since believing in Jesus you have been born again by The Spirit Of God. You are not a slave to every intrusive thought and feeling, but you are called to take those thoughts captive and bring them under obedience to Christ. You are not a slave to sin any longer. It is in obeying the SPIRIT that you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Of course there are things we think and feel in our natural bodies and minds still, but they donât CONTROL us any more. We are now slaves to Christ Jesus and His love and Spirit đđ»â€ïžâđ„
Romans chapter 8 in the bible illuminates this mysterious process happing inside of us all as born again Christians.
I needed this so badly. I used to be lustful and chased it all the time and now that I'm being obedient to God, intrusive thoughts bombard me every day. I'm constantly praying them away and try not to feel guilty for thoughts I longer want!

Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy while holding onto my faith because I'm not just having these horrific intrusive thoughts but can actually see the enemy sometimes.
Pray for me that I don't lose sight in God's word and his in teachings.
@@Bianca0414 I have fought with the enemy I think it was 3 years ago. I was paralyzed with fear but then I was overcome with strength to wrestle this demonic force. It was scary. I literally mean I was wrestling with this in my bed. When I let this force that I was no longer afraid It stopped.

Iâm sixteen and was 13 when my testimony started. I had really evil and ani-Christ thoughts until they got so bad in dreams that I turned to Jesus and He healed me.đ It was eventually revealed in the story of Job in the bible that God took Jobâs farm and everything he owned to reveal himself and strengthen his relationship with him. In the same way because of these thoughts I am now closer to God. Hallelujah!đđ

I been asking Jesus to heal me from my negative thoughts. Iâm constantly thinking Iâm a bad person. I try so hard to do the exact opposite of what my thoughts are telling me, but itâs a fight everyday
You either walk in the Spirit or walk in the flesh. There is no in between. You must choose to walk in the Spirit each day. It is easy to say but hard to do. Ask the Holy Spirit for help and submit to Him each morning. This will set your day up to walk in spirit and in truth
I know what you're saying, but sometimes it's really not that hard to do đ. I had a near death experience when I was 7 & I became deeply spiritual after that. I felt really different to my peers and got really lonely. I tried to fit in & as I got older, I tried to escape into drugs and other stuff. I'm older now and I'm able to accept my experiences & more importantly - how they have shaped me. I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying, I guess I'm just saying that it's not always as simple as making a choice. I think we just don't want to be conformed to this world â€ïžđđ»đïž

Needed this so bad! To any one else dealing with it, dealing with thoughts that give you anxiety attacks 100 times a day, we will heal! We really will! The enemy wants us to feel as if we were our past. But we are forgiven and redeemed! In Jesus name.

Works better than rebuking because it's our flesh that jumps up when we are tempted. So I tell "myself" to stop!! It works every time.

I needed to hear this myself because I battle thoughts every day and I do feel guilty and the enemy tries to tell me because of the thoughts that Jesus won't want me and that's a horrible thing to consider, I will read Roman's 8 and please pray for me to.
Laurie I prayed for you. We are in the same battle. I wake up everyday with intrusive darkness. Overwhelming feeling of worthlessness but after my prayers, the Lord brings me His peace and clarity. God bless you and donât ever give up

Ever since I rededicated my life to Jesus in January, he took away my habits of using chewing tobacco and vaping, the enemy has been trying to get me to fail through lust and fleshly desires. It's the "obedient to the spirit" that I can't seem to understand.
So your new nature LOVES the Word of God, your inner man LOVES to fellowship with your Father through The Holy Spirit. Your spirit man LOVES The Lord Jesus with a perfect love and loves the Father with Holy Reverence. Itâs the part of you that, since being born again through faith in Jesus, rejoices in doing the will of God and knows Him as Father. Feeding your inner man with The Word, and spending time with God in prayer and worship helps strengthen him. If our inner man is underfed, I find for myself, it becomes harder to identify as a child of God at all because my spirit man is so malnourished and my flesh is so BUILT UP. Feed your inner man, draw near to God, and you will remember His voice and how much you love Him, then when sin and fleshly thoughts come, you can discern them for what they are and âobey the spiritâ rather then the flesh đđ»â€ïžâđ„

I've been searching for someone to put all of this into a perspective for me because oftentimes I don't know where to look in the bible,it's a really big book and I've been struggling with this fleshy hardships and it hurts đ€ and can be disabling at times ,almost like it grips me and throws me off guard.
