Bravo Daniel. Your truly a great human being, which is rare these days. Another good informative video. I'm in canada but I hope someday to visit your shop.
The young man's coin that he sent you and hearing his letter put a grin on my face that had to go ear to ear. I love when kids are interested in coin collecting. They are our future and it's great to know they are taking up the hobby early. Better luck with grades next time and great video.
You're a good man Daniel. Thank you for your sensitivity toward the 12 year old young man, Thomas. Those good deeds are usually remembered for a lifetime as your personnel story demonstrated. Thanks for your videos.
Getting the young ones involved in anything that doesn’t involve electronic devices is priceless and an investment in our old @sses future. Kudos Daniel
Brother I mentor a local Boy Scout Troop here in my hometown. It really is a great experience. These kids are truly interested in our hobby. Always asking question not only on value but about the history that goes behind it. It truly gives this old guy hope for the future. I help them get ready for their merit badges. They truly are great kids. Thanks for the videos. Some of my guys truly like your videos and instructions. We'll I'm out but still having much more hope for our youth. God Bless us everyone.
Daniel, your marble story touched my heart. I am six years older than my brother and we were also raised in church. One day my church was having a food drive. My brother didn't have any food to donate, but he had saved every penny he had ever gotten at that time - I think he was 7 or 8. He took his entire coin bank to our preacher and donated his change to the food drive. It was the most selfless thing I had ever seen from any member of our church at that time. You, my kind man, have the same heart as my brother and that is very rare. Love your videos!
Awesome story. I wish Thomas the 12year old collector years of fun, learning and success with is coin collecting. TYVM for sharing the stories. Since the pandemic its been dark and dreary for many, so uplifting stories are the spice of life.
Love how ya lift up a 12 year old. When I started collecting coins as a youngster about 40 years ago, the local dealer was very unpleasant and treated me like an idiot. All I needed was some coaching, which he did by chastizing me. Somehow, he is still in business, but I havent stepped foot in there in 20 years. Wish we had more like you in my hood!
Ita always great to see younger kids engaging in the hobby. We should all be encouraging to them to keep the hobby growing. That was great of you to buy the coin!
What a great video and even greater story about the young man. I started collecting when I was ten. Unfortunately, the local coin dealer was a man named, Engelhart (long dead), who only dealt with high-end clients and just shooed young people like me away (his claim to fame was selling one of the 1894-S dimes for the amazing price of $100,000 back in 1968). I wish there had been a coin dealer like you when I was growing up! Kudos to you and your CZcams channel for showing us all that there is more to life than just collecting coins. Cheers.
Best video ever. Nice story about when Daniel was younger.Great how Daniel recognizes the 12 year old and his collecting and hobbies and to make a video about it cool. Right on Daniel. Best video ever.
That's wonderful about that 12 year old and the way you enjoy to receive his wonderful knowledge and hold on to what he sent you you're wonderful man too you're honest and I think that's why this young man adores your work and knowledge
Very nice to see this story about a young collector. We need more youth to keep the Coin Hobby alive and strong. Maybe do a video on what a young person should get before getting into collecting coins. Your Idea of a starter list of things you need.
This falls into the trying times at PCGS! It is my opinion more than any other time to buy the coin not the holder. That AU Peace dollar looks awesome! Keep up the great videos Daniel!
Thanks for sharing Thomas’ story Daniel, and for sharing yours. It must have been hard letting your marbles go but the life experience learnt must have been awe inspiring. Cheers 👍🏻😊
I haven't had a story touch my heart in a very long time. Thank You for sharing this story about Thomas. Granted coins didn't exist when I was 12 years ago. He is very Fortunate.
Hi Daniel. I have been watching your videos for the last several months and have found them all excellent. This is the first time I’ve commented. I am doing so because of the wonderful comments you shared about the 12-year-old collector and how you could relate to it, sharing when you were his age. Thank you for what you do and appreciate the high level of integrity that you exhibit. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and looking forward to watching your future videos.
DANIEL THIS STORY BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. GOD BLESS YOU. I HOPE TO MEET YOU ONE DAY. I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS. I HAVE GOT STUFF FROM YOUR STORE. YOUR AWESOME. . GOD MAKES THE DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE AMEN!!.🙏🤗🥰💕
Thanks Daniel. That's really neat you and young collector Thomas have a rapport. Young collectors are the hobby's future. Love the reveals. I was thinking ahead and hoping you would show the 35 AU58 Peace along side the 25 S MS62. That AU58 should have cracked the MS grade IMO. It's a clean looking coin. The 26 MS62 should have gone to a 63 as you mentioned. AI for more stable grading. Send a few more boxes in ! I love the reveals and your thoughts. Your teaching moments are priceless.
Yes, we are just temporary custodians of our favorite collectible whether they're coins, stamps, comic books, cards, fountain pens, watches or a myriad of other historic items. I think they are part of our personalities and our pursuit of history and human endeavor. We can thank you also for saving "worn" coins like these for future posterity instead of throwing them into the melting pot! Be well! Ed
That's awesome that a 12 y/o was able to get into the hobby thanks to your content! I wish I was that committed to anything at that age... 😅 While my interest in coins _is_ wishy-washy to say the least (it's just my nature with most things lol), your videos have still helped me tremendously in the time I've studied them. Your forum is extremely useful and resourceful as well, even though they're beaten down by 500 people not following the rules every day. If I somehow manage to find a "jackpot" coin, it will undoubtedly be thanks to your videos and your forum. Thank you for all that you do for your hobby. 😎
I love this considering i started collecting since i was 11 and im now 17 and still a strong enthusiast in collecting and found my spot with franklins registrys
I’m 18, it’s my second month. Got $620 worth of silver. 10 Morgan’s, some halves, and a seated liberty dime, barber dime, and barber half dollar. Just found a War nickel in the “wild” today 😂
I do as you mentioned, use the already graded coins as a guide or reference to help place other raw coins in their areas of grade. I enjoy the videos of both "pros and cons" and are learning daily right with you.
Very cool of you to do that for the obviously very interesting young man. Now, I'm definitely not a grader but I definitely see the points you make that oppose the grade from pcgs. Thank you for sharing.
All very good stuff! Made me think about my childhood reading some comments while listening about Thomas. Seeing our name. My older brother is Thomas. Just could hear my mom saying Thomas Daniel come eat. Thank you for the share sir,you and your whole shop have a great day!
Thank you Daniel. I changed my screen name to secure my new tag line. I have told others, on other channel live streams, to watch for those Morgan's on your website if they need any for their collections. It's AWESOME to know the younger generations have collectors.
Daniel I appreciate you so much. Things I have needed to understand you explain very well. I ran into a 1984S proof penny. 1st I seen and because of your videos, I knew what I was looking. Thing is it is black on rim and a little on the obverse and reverse. Otherwise came. So I am assuming it would be worth nothing. Am I right?
At least on the upside of your SLQ a AU 58 is better to most collectors than having a ms 60-62, same with the Peace dollar. Better to have the very top of AU than the bottom of MS.
What’s up Daniel love your educating show I’ll Tell you that standing liberty and Peace broke my heart what PCGS did Are you kidding me really wow those coins should be at least MS
Early morning graders are fresh, in the afternoon graders are tired. Wonder if that can make a big difference in grading? Anyway another great video Daniel!
I am so impressed with your willingness to highlight the young man and his interests and passions. Additionally, the story you shared about the Gideons was touching. It is a reflection of who you are as an individual and professional. Kudos Daniel…. I truly appreciate your videos and the knowledge your share. Happy Holidays!!!
I was supposed to get a PCGS commemorative when I sent in my 2021 Morgan’s but I never got it :/. It was their Quarterly Special if you submit 10+ moderns.
Hi Daniel. I found your channel and had always thought about coin colkecting. Maybe at the age of 71 I can start checking out some pawn shops when I see them. Can you direct me to a book or books on the grading levels? Also what are the different companies that grade coins?
I'm fairly new to this so I'm not sure if I found something valuable or not. It is a 2003 Illinois quarter that looks like it was struck on brass. It's definitely not a silver color.
I was also surprised by my PCGS submission when I received the Copper 1oz 35th anniversary quarterly special and the gold box. They actually sell for around $100-$150 on Ebay. I wanted to do a funny experiment and submit a PCGS 35th anniversary copper 1oz round and silver 1oz round to NGC and see if they actually grade it. To me that would be a funny conversation piece at a coin shop or coin show. Having a NGC slabbed PCGS coin. I wonder if NGC would actually slab it or if they would send it back UNC details with just the label.
Shawnee state park in the shirt. I live staying there for the dirt track world championship. Great waters an trails for hiking fishing boating or just fir a peaceful spot to relax when everyone comes to town to see daniel
I'm 47 years old and when I was a teenager I found a steal cent in my change. I thought it was a silver penny. I didn't know any better. I tried to look up silver penny but I couldn't find anything on my silver penny. Well first there not penny's so no wonder I couldn't find anything. I thought in my mind I had a rare silver penny worth millions of dollars 🤭🤭. Over time I lost my steal cent, I don't know where but it wasn't worth the millions anyway. As I got older, and learned a little about coins, and realized what I had, I thought it was funny as heck how a young boys imagination can run wild at times.🤣🤣🤣
Hey Daniel hey check out that 1969S Struck on a Costa Rica planchet that I farm I’m actually everything up so far I’m getting ready to send it in to PCGS or NGC right reeded edge Yes it’s copper nickel 25 centismo titled planchette and looks to be doubled as well I’m putting it out there so people can see grading make opinions as well

I’m 26 and i feel extremely young for a numismatic enthusiast. Nice to see folks even younger than I getting involved
Kids are the future of coin collecting! I love hearing stories like this 👍
Beautiful Coins Daniel thanks for sharing
Sounds like a cool kid. Glad he has you to help navigate him properly with his hobby. Maybe someday he’ll have a channel educating people.
Bravo Daniel. Your truly a great human being, which is rare these days. Another good informative video. I'm in canada but I hope someday to visit your shop.
Thank you
if your on the eastern side should go to the Ohio coin show.

Thank you
I'd love to have the PCGS Medal. 👻

Thanks for sharing Thomas’ story Daniel, and for sharing yours. It must have been hard letting your marbles go but the life experience learnt must have been awe inspiring. Cheers 👍🏻😊
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Great episode Daniel! Thank you for your knowledge and I appreciate what you stand for! Thank you, and keep up the great job!
I haven't had a story touch my heart in a very long time. Thank You for sharing this story about Thomas.
Granted coins didn't exist when I was 12 years ago. He is very Fortunate.
No coins? At all? ;)
Wow those graders were tough on those peace dollars !!!!
Very cool shouting that young man out. That is very impressive being only 12 and he is doing awesome coin deals with the big boys. Very cool
That's pretty awesome Daniel, awesome story I like that .
Great video, promoting youth collectors is commendable, I’m sure you made his day. I always love the show and tell revels.
Thank you
Great story Kudos to the both of you.🤗

A boy raised in Church sets his feet on the right path!
Great video. I like the shoutout, that’s gotta be cool for a young kid! I like the 1930 and 1935 AU coins! Beautiful
I’m 14, the local coin dealers help a lot and are generous when they buy from me.
Very good to hear!
DANIEL THIS STORY BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. GOD BLESS YOU. I HOPE TO MEET YOU ONE DAY. I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS. I HAVE GOT STUFF FROM YOUR STORE. YOUR AWESOME. . GOD MAKES THE DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE AMEN!!.🙏🤗🥰💕

That Au58 has totally got eye-appeal all over that 62. Not even close.

That was such a sweet story! You are an awesome guy!!💕 Nice surprise in the box and I am feeling ur pain on the tape man!! Lol.
Saw you grinning from the start. Always a blast when we get the next generation into the hobby.
Awesome video, great to encourage a young person in the hobby.

THANKS DANIEL FOR SPEAKING ABOUT DUSTIN. HE COULD REALLY GET TO YOUR HEART HAVE A GREAT DAY.
Standing quarters can be tough to grade in ;slider unc; through MS grades.
I gave a 1930 to a poker buddy of mine last year for his 90th birthday.

Hello from the great state of Michigan
Thanks. Seems like the grading was harsh of a couple of those coins.
Some toning by the LI on the Standing Liberty
Very cool of you to do that for the obviously very interesting young man.
Now, I'm definitely not a grader but I definitely see the points you make that oppose the grade from pcgs. Thank you for sharing.
The day Daniel lost his marbles!😂Love you man! Great story about the young collector. Keep up the great work!✌🏻❤️🇺🇸🥈
All very good stuff! Made me think about my childhood reading some comments while listening about Thomas. Seeing our name. My older brother is Thomas. Just could hear my mom saying Thomas Daniel come eat. Thank you for the share sir,you and your whole shop have a great day!
Fine young man and what a great example of how we can learn from the youth as much as they can learn from us! Enjoyed this video very much!
Good to see you in the comments.
Great video
Awesome !
Good for you Daniel! Small things mean a lot and will remain sweet memories for this young man as it did for you!
Good Morning Daniel!! I have been proud of you from the start!!😊

Nice story
Great story. Good luck to him 👍😁
More great info. Best looking AU58s Ive seen in a while.🤔Thanks for sharing
Beautiful coins!👍
I think PCGS dropped the ball on that Standing Liberty Quarter.
Another awesome video Daniel I learn alot from you thanks and have a great day
I got an 1819 half for my birthday like in the shop in the video
Any plans for 100k? Here's an early congratulations!
Thanks but I am about two months away
I was supposed to get a PCGS commemorative when I sent in my 2021 Morgan’s but I never got it :/.
It was their Quarterly Special if you submit 10+ moderns.
I was his age when i stated collecting coins, and i am 58 now. although he is one up on me, i didn't know about errors or varieties. Great video Dan 👍
Hi Daniel, I am an American who lives in Australia and find it very difficult to get coin roles from the states. Any advice on how I can do this?
No, sorry. I can't help with that one.
so funny those peace dollars I would say your AU is much nicer maybe the grader just didn't like the ding in the field and that's all they needed.
The AU 58 ‘35 has a nick just off the tip of her nose. Could that be why it’s not MS?
I was also surprised by my PCGS submission when I received the Copper 1oz 35th anniversary quarterly special and the gold box. They actually sell for around $100-$150 on Ebay. I wanted to do a funny experiment and submit a PCGS 35th anniversary copper 1oz round and silver 1oz round to NGC and see if they actually grade it. I wonder if NGC would actually slab it or if they would send it back UNC details with just the label.
That would be funny
You were 12 years old when you lost all your marbles? Ha Ha. Hi Daniel.Hope you are having a nice week. Harry.
Lol
Do you think you could do a video on holed coins?
Holed coins are damaged coins
Daniel--Is the PCGS coin a copper 1oz? And if so are you going to sell it on your internet store?
It's brass and I am not selling it . I might sell one if I get another. Thanks
@@CoinHELPu Okay thanks.

Hey Daniel hey check out that 1969S Struck on a Costa Rica planchet that I farm I’m actually everything up so far I’m getting ready to send it in to PCGS or NGC right reeded edge Yes it’s copper nickel 25 centismo titled planchette and looks to be doubled as well I’m putting it out there so people can see grading make opinions as well
Great coins! Have a good day Sir!
Nice Peace Dollars.
Always great coin videos thanks
I have a 1984 doubled ear how do I sell it?
Get it graded first.
I have a 1898-O Morgan dollar with some toning on it, and it appears someone tried to use an eraser and remove a bit of the toning, the coin otherwise is real nice and looks better than some of the examples on PCGS for MS-60-65 coins. Not much chatter on the cheek, and nice mint luster cartwheeling. Do the grading companies put a number to a MS-65 coin "details cleaned" or do they just put UNC details cleaned? I have been looking around and can't recall seeing anything other than UNC Details cleaned.
No, they do not
@@CoinHELPu Guess that means I won't send it for grading.
you probably got a grader who has a been day or got up on the wrong side of the bed. Cause that AU 58 looks more like a 63. So dam picky. PCGS can be over grade lots of the coin and also undergrade other coins. That is why lots of the older holder by PCGS are so nice complared to the current holder
