    Crazy... I randomly started throwing kraft American cheese in with my ramen back in middle school (now 35) along with other fixings of course. Total comfort food. Crazy to see Chef Roy does the same thing. Most my friends have always thought I was nuts.

    SO. For a few weeks in a row, I tried using real cheddar cheese as opposed to American cheese, and PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. The cheddar doesn't mix well in normal water, and just clumps up in huge chunks and sinks to the bottom. American Cheese incorporates perfectly into the hot broth, making for a very creamy and delicious treat.

    It's almost exactly the same as how I make my ramen, except I didn't add butter. Gonna do that from now on.

    Been making this for years with lettuce instead of other green stuff usually. Just made it for my girlfriend 2 nights in a row and now she knows how to make it. Lol. Love this ramen technique.

      @@Daniilo11 Nope. Have you ever heard of lettuce miso soup? It's pretty dang good, and a great way to use up leftover lettuce. I haven't ever added it to ramen, but I've been thinking about it.

    Ramen & You may be the wrong person to ask---it has been said Ramen is
    formed with wax or has some wax in the processing. Any thoughts.

    This looks great, and I'll probably do this sometime soon, but the recipe/procedure at Tip Hero would drastically overcook the noodles. Ramen-flavored mush, yuck. XP
