"But it's me, Mario! Hello!"
"No, you're not. You're a chubby Sonic with a moustache"
"You were too fast to be Mario"
@Energytainment
The genesis version is obviously a bootleg, and it's poorly sprite swapped, sure it has mario, but Sonic is still thanked.
@@ChaseMC215 so what is the original sonic rom
@@upwaveflash8429
The name of the rom is clearly shown in one of the replies of the comment
Sonic on the SNES and Mario on the Genesis... Oh well, life always finds a way...
Yeah, you just got to love seeing chaos theory in action.
@@nickparsons337 Agree bud. Exclusive (retro) games only happened when they were officially released :)
Except Mario on Genesis is a crappy bootleg while Sonic on SNES is a homebrew port done with actual care.
@@camulodunon But Sonic on SNES still runs like shit because the SNES had HALF the CPU speed the Genesis did lol
😂😂😂
I actually like how it sounds on the Genesis with that loud bass. For the hardware differences and being a bootleg it's damn good and close. I've seen more differences on official games for both consoles like Mortal Kombat 1 and others.
¡ORMIGOTO!
Snes: the way it should be
Genesis: GOTTA GO FAST !
E! um br!
Sonic snes: why am I so slow
Official sonic (Sonic genesis): gotta go fast!
Yeah
@Higor Joseff that's a nice fairytale.
And Peach name Mario Sonic.
The Sega version is actually so fast because it was a hack of a bootleg where you played as Sonic
The sound on the Genesis version of mario is very promising and unique actually. I like it. Yeah the hit detection and animation needs work but it an early attempt at porting a game. Awesome to see people make games on old hardware that never originally were made.
Mario is high on the Blast Processing, he can't contain himself.
Wow, they gave Mario the speed of Sonic in the MD/Genesis bootleg. 😂
LOL
Blast Processing Baby
Peach : come over
Mario : I can't
Peach : my parents aren't home
Mario :
Yeah, but in return, it break the soundtrack and effects, due to the crappy sound system of the genesis.
@@agapitojuliano5517 Yeah, but it wasn't so much crappy, it just wasn't as advanced as that of the SNES.
Sega Genesis was targeted on more mature gamers. The thumbnail proves.
No it doesn't!
Makes absolutely no sense, Peach kisses Mario in the SNES version all the same
I like how the status bar in the genesis version in the underground level and castle still becomes part of the scrolling background while in the snes version, that starus bar is just cheap black in those levels.
Mario in SNES: relax and slowly!!!
Mario in Mega Drive: HERE WE GOOOO!!!!!!!!
Naka's dream came true. Naka is a fan of Super Mario Bros. and he liked to played it faster.
Source: Wikipedia
Perfect mashup of the Soundtrack. It sounds beatyful
Gezus the off key Mega Drive music is making me scratch my bare naked eyeballs its just off
Have to wonder if there are any rom hackers that would be willing to fix up the colors and backgrounds on the genesis and maybe add the underwater effect if possible.
Somehow the genesis fan port of Mario feels like it has different physics. The way Mario jumps is faster than in the SNES.
@Dean Satan lol dork...sega sucks
@Dean Satan I'm sorry but I guess you missed the fact that anything you said makes sense, the psychics on SNES have no problems and work as intended by developers, they had in mind how SNES works and they did the psychics the closer to NES game, the Sega bootlag is just not optimized, but once optimized, it could deliver to the player the very same performance and psychics as SNES. So, there's no "fake psychics" neither "awkward movement" as you mentioned, and if someone convert some data from SNES to MD and and try to apply on MD the very exact data, is obvious that MD will work different once this console structure has different settings from SNES. IMO the bootlag is closer to complete, just need some opmization in psychics to get a good game experience, stop this console war, I'm neither Nintendo or Sega Fanboy, I'm a video game enthusiastic, both consoles have their features but none of them make someone better than another because this is only opinion, and if you're going to talk about hardware, its okay to me to admit that MD has great Resolution and Speed, but SNES hardware is better overall due all other features a console could offer, and this is natural because Sega MD was built to compete against NES and Nintendo built SNES few years later to compete MD.
@@julianofs6041 Let's not forget the fact that the SNES has eight modes of hardware acceleration to compensate for some hardware limitations. Most notably mode 7 which allows for some crazy image distortions, something that would otherwise take some software code to implement on a MD game (which can look choppy or low-res depending on how it's software implement on the MD vs the hardware feature of the SNES).
However, that isn't to say that the SNES overall is less laggy and allows for more sprites on screen than the Genesis though. Part of the reason I don't see one console being above the other regardless of one having HW Accel (modes 0-7) and the other having a faster CPU (the "blast processing" that was the Motorolla vs the SNES' Yamaha).
@@julianofs6041 Telling people to "Stop this console war" in the comments section of this specific channel is as futile as going to a rap battle and telling the rappers to stop insulting each other jajajaja
@@thewindthatblows Its different, a rap battle is supposed the rappers will insult each other, comments section is not supposed to be used like that, but people insist.
Esse port parece ser muito bom. Parabéns pelo vídeo.
The animation of Luigi on the Genesis port reminds me of old FOS games, like Commander Keen.
Kind of makes me curious to see how Super Hang On would look like on the SNES.
For some reason, I kind of like hearing the SNES original tracks with the Genesis bootleg ones.
Wow. I could only handle 5 minutes of this. This is borderline Breakcore.
This feels so WROOONG !
AWESOME! Where can I find the Mega Drive version?
I love both
Wonderful physics.
The gameplay on the bootleg looks like an old flash game
It feels like complete crap to play lol
The same music on the genesis is just so badly sequenced and instrumented. Some timbres sound good but everything else could use a quick fix in the FM synth editor
If we take into account that it is an unofficial game, it is actually well done, the beats are of a very good quality, they sound very clean, there are even cymbal sounds in some songs
The ending music is fucking amazing in the genesis version lmao
1:32 On the right screen for Super Mario All-Stars, notice how Mario continues to rise a bit after smashing the blocks, this was not something that happened in the original NES version. There is a Brickfix patch to fix SMB and Lost Levels in Super Mario All-Stars to mimic the proper NES physics, just google search [SMAS Brickfix SMB Lost Levels].
Now someone do snes bootleg of Genesis mario bootleg. Bootlegception
@Higor Joseff wow you have so much IQ.
Genesis game is fast and basically inspired by Sonic. They have blast processing. SNES game is original and the speed is just right as it should be.
Mario is now fast and snes drones are angry.
@@StaticTV80It also controls like ass. Are you really defending this? Have you even played it?
" Thank You Sonic "
"Thank you Sonic" XD
they look almost the same but the genesis doesn't feature parallax effect and has much more simpler backgrounds
I think the developers of this bootleg failed to program the parallax effects as well as the waterfall in the third stage of the first world.
They need to slow Mario way down on the Genesis but other than that I prefer it. They should have done the pixel effect on Sega's 16-bit machine as well.
Body movement when running is faster on snes.
Candles do not flicker and blocks don't have a pulsating glow on Genesis.
Gotta say; the Sega Genesis version is a speed runners wet dream come true.
A very competent attempt on sega genesis just a little off putting because of the speed and missing animations but very vibrant and sharp details.
Genesis version is not finished but an incredible work from the programmers...
3:57 zip zip zoom
I just know someone out there will still prefer the Mega Drive version because “SNES bad”.
Nice joke
Or maybe because it's the version they played as a kid
@@anonymoususind I've found 2 people doing that wdym
SNES is a joke, I really do hate that console, not much I like about it except killer instinct and star fox. The rest is terrible, I would rather play the Mega Drive all day every day. But hey that's just me.
@@davejones1621 So you prefer this bootleg to the original game?
Just so everyone knows, there is a better Genesis homebrew SMB, that is accurate to the NES game. Maybe that will get it's own VGDECIDE.
Yeah that one is cool
Peach: Thank you sonic! Mario:Who the h*ll is sonic?
Classic quote from Jurassic Park 😎🦖🦕
thank you sonic kingdom is saved NOW TRY AGAIN( *dramatic drums playing* )
Dude the underground theme on the genesis sounds like it’s being played on a Casio vl-1
On the MD bootleg, why were the sprites all glitched out? 😂
With better programming the SG version of the game would be nice gameplay and sound
The sound for me just needs to change some instruments in some specific songs, like the ending song, which has the beats too loud.
What’s with small mario & fire mario on the Genesis?!
Damn, the bootleg genesis version has the level design copy and pasted. There was nothing off about any of the designs here, it’s like the devs played the original, analyzed all the levels and drew them on sheets or something
Some of the details are missing from the genesis version
@@spirituallyconscious7774 they’re few and far between tho
Good old Sonic Jam 6
Can someone please make Super Metroid for the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive)?❤
Como sempre Snes com seu som abafado!!
EIta, nunca vi esta versão de Mega
Aquele video do street fighter 2 snes com som do 3DO fico massa. Me pergunto qual seria a verdadeira capacidade do snes.
Espere pra ver o incrível donkey kong 99.
@Paulo Meneguel parece mais acelerado né.
O Mário do md tá mais aceleradinho né Tio John
Es un hack
Man the physics look rough on the Genesis port. It seems like Mario moves too fast yet can stop on a dime, as if he has no real momentum (Brooklyn Brakes). It’s also weird how the bootleggers seemed to be aware of this so they made some levels and mechanics easier? (Shorter fire bars, can jump on Piranha Plants, lack of enemies in certain spots, etc). Imagine if they made a bootleg port of a more difficult game like SMB Special or Lost Levels with these physics
Looks fun to try!! Anyone know where to find this BOOTLEG rom ?
Thanks, I'm really curious to try it...
just google genesis roms and i'm sure you will find it after trying a few places.i did.
@@Lookoutmedia353 I usually do that, but for the 1st time I have no accurate result. only NES version, or some online website to play the hack online or something...
Genesis mario lookin' pretty gas gas gas...
It looks like the gba port lol
No iban a hacer del super street fighter 2?
Genesis is missing a lot of stuff and buggy, but it made mario Faster thanks to blas processing.
Yeah, but it makes the game hard as fuck to control lol
Damn Sega, at least try to get the overworld theme tune right.
It was not made by Sega it was made by some rando
@@Sh-hg8kf Oh yeah Rando! I had a buddy named Rando one time. Good guy!

@@neddyf00 If I understand and also what makes me angry is that the thumbnail puts the genesis hack as superior and in my point of view it seems to me that this guy is a Sega fan boy
Oof. The bootleg has some pretty awful physics.

I didn't know Sega MD couldn't make the steel drum sound.
It can actually, but I think the developers didn't have the PCM audio from the original batteries available, or they simply wanted to change it themselves.
thank you sonic (23:14)
23:07 Peach: I love you Sonic.
Mario: The Fu- a girl.
Mega Drive game got BLAST PROCESSING™.
The original version of the bootleg genesis version used to have sonic on it
Yeah, the Super Mario one is poorly swapped, sure Mario is in the game, but due to how the creator of the Mario bootleg didn't bother to change the text, Peach still thanks Sonic despite Mario saving her
