Sometimes it's obvious he lives in the south. I'm always jealous since where i live on the west coast even the cheaper stores near me are often double what he pays. I havent seen these exact snack packs but similar ones are normally $4 to $5 plus tax that's just under 10%

Go to the local deli and ask for a few slices of your favorite meat about the height of 2 stacked nickles then ask the same for your favorite cheese. Get some Ritz crackers and now you have your own lunchables. I'll do a few times a year and I'm never disappointed.
Might be worth it - depends on how much your time is worth. I can see a place for these - but they're only good value for money if you really can't afford the time to make or even shop for something else.

these snack packs often are really overpriced. I routinely see them selling for $4 and up, even ones that are just cheese and fruit or lunch meat and cheese start around $3 and often the portions are anemic at best, sometimes barely over an ounce.

entire cooked turkey in a can from Hormel with: can cranberry sauce, can dressing, can gravy and pie ... patrol feast in winter on the trail. amaze your scouts with a good hot meal ! i am to far along to change my habits - just my menus! i have shown many adult leaders that food on the trail can be restaurant good if thought out well. a pre-frozen steak thaws all day while hiking and after a long trail day rewards the body! Shrimp cocktail will make your day so much better; you see them at the store and add a can of medium shrimp to extent the joy!

I think it's ButterBall.that sells 3$ bags of grilled chicken breast! You get almost 50z of perfect chicken you can use a 100 ways! I'd buy several of them and a handful of companion snacks...Ritz crackers...cheese...M&Ms..etc.
For what you would spend for 5 of those....17.50$....and assemble your own version of these for a work lunch for 5days!!

Larry, thanks again for heads up on Michael Angelos frozen meals. I swear if they were plated fancy and served a reputable establishment, i would never even think twice. why not try out some other products from Michael Angelos. the only one that "slightly" let me down was the veggie lasagna...but to be honest. it really wasnt even bad.

I regularly buy Micheal Angelo's at the local wholesale club. The eggplant and chicken parmesans are both excellent. The meat lasagna used to be excellent too, but I've noticed recently they've started skimping heavily on the mozzy cheese on top. That's a shame in my book, because who doesn't want a load of golden brown melted cheese on top of their lasagna. :/

Ugh, Michelangelo's was the first time I was actually SORRY I followed a WolfePit recommendation. We tried the lasagna, and it simply didn't hold up to my homemade (aka Stouffer's). Sorry, just my opinion.

The flour is what makes the cornbread, sesame sticks and stuffing "unnatural." I guarantee that a lot of the people who make a fuss about natural foods don't think twice about enriched flour.

@@eacorpe88 There's no need to add artificial vitamins to a turkey snack though. Due to those added vitamins people in the western world often are overconsuming e.g. iron or vitamin c in (indeed) unnatural amounts, which is not healthy either.
I'm glad I'm not the first person to notice that. Working in food industry really shines a light on how little people know

For one of them mini meal snack kits, $3 is pretty good. You can get charcuterie plates with less food for $5. But, if you don't like dried fruit, they tend to have more variety. Some of them are made with good quality deli meat too, like Applegate brand.
