- That awful moment when you realize you have an extra bead and you have to pull waaaaaay back to get rid of it - we've all experienced it! Here's how to get rid of that naughty bead without ripping!

Just have to tell you I LOVE the top you are wearing in this video.
Thank you for all of your videos and books, the info is priceless yet you make it easy to understand.
Hi Jill..... I am a subscriber. I recently found your videos and love them. You helped me master the square stitch. Thank you!!! ......Dori
I thought I was the only one who does this but I use a bead crimper. (is that what it's called?) I put said bead in the open grooves in the nearest to the tip of the tool and it perfectly breaks any size bead without touching the thread. I'm going to have to try the awl and see how my arthritic hands do with it. Thank you for showing us Jill! That looks like a very handy dandy tool indeed. Happy beading!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR TUTORIALS. BLESSINGS
Great idea. I am definitely ordering one with my next order of tulip needles. I only use Tulip needles.. I started once you mentioned them in a video awhile back. You were right- you will loose them before you break or bend them for that matter. Love the sweater you have on in the video.
This is really helpful for the thread. Thanks!
Great tip Jill! Thank you, so much better than breaking them with my pliers. xoC
I love my awl. Jill how about a video about what you have in your travel beading kit? I think it would be interesting to know what you consider essential.
Great idea!
Like you, I'm not always a perfect beader (lol). Far from your level of expertise! I would love to add one of these to my beading kit! Several times I have just 'crushed' the offending bead and broken the thread in the process. Please, pick me! Pick me!
Is this the same awl that you might use to open up those super duo bead holes (you know the second hole that you forgot to check)? Love your videos!
But what do you do when the problem is not one too many beads, but say you have beaded in the wrong color in your pattern, and you don't notice it until a few rows later (and ESPECIALLY if you have done ODD peyote which is a pain to undo!)? I can see breaking out the wrong bead, but then how do you REPLACE that bead in the now empty space without the initial thread--where the wrong bead was--showing? Thanks!
I think I have heard of these, are they what is used to punch a hole through a bead that is not perfect?
My bead breaker is just a push pin and an eraser!
😄
Dang, I thought you were prefect.
