the way they both felt comfortable once they revealed to each other they were both trans is super wholesome but also really sad since you know that they wouldnt feel as comfortable in their own skin with a cis person that could potentially hatecrime or something
They'd be just as comfortable with a cis person who doesn't react weirdly when hearing they're trans. The difference is they wouldn't have that "shared experience" connection, so they'd bind over a totally different, probably more trivial, thing.

so even if the cis person was accepting, she would still feel some anxiety and discomfort

Sure, with a cis person they might not feel so comfortable throughout a first date, though. Someone might be polite but not be quite accepting of trans people. The trans person could be thinking "They're being polite, but they probably don't like that I'm trans and will ghost me".
@@dahyimi2185 yeah, the worry that one doesn't "pass" is basically only present with a cis person. it's dysphoria all over again and is probably the main reason why trans people wouldnt feel as comfortable with a cis person as with a trans person. while it really is about depending on what others think of you or what they look like in comparison, it's sadly a big addition to dysphoria

I am an Asian trans FTM that cannot safely transition yet, but when I saw this video, it gave me a lot of hope that this can be attainable to me one day. I do not know a lot of Asian transmen and it sometimes feels isolating.

i love seeing how there are trans people indefinitely even in other cultures (compared to mine at least). it really shows how (most) people arent following a trend or whatever, but truly being who they are at heart. i think its so easy as societies to fall into a bubble of overlooking other people and their stories and deciding who they are without fully understanding one another.

It's definitely a big separation especially with younger trans people and I feel like it has to do with wanting to talk about the experience and problems of being trans and it is hard to talk about the parts of your body u don't like and want to change with someone who desperately wants those body parts. It gets a little better as you get older especially after some surgerys and stuff because now u both have the bodies u want.

I feel lucky to not have seen too much of this separation yet. My friends are a mixture I suppose. I'm non-binary, I have both female to nb and male to nb friends, as well as some FTM and MTF friends. I hope everyone can become more comfortable around each other!
I'm really glad Yena and Seunghee had a chance to meet, share their story and just be comfortable around each other. It's hard to deny that the moment both of them were revealed as trans, a huge relief came and blanketed the whole atmosphere in the room
when they talked about 'trying their best' to live as their assigned gender and all the pain that came with it was so apparent .. I just wanted to hug them both. I'm glad they got to share that moment and meet someone else with a similar experience.

as a trans person myself it almost made me cry when i saw how comfortable they became around each other :’) there is such a special connection between all trans people and it just brought me so much joy to know that regardless of the place or culture, trans people will always gravitate towards one another and find solidarity and comfort in that connection.

How she felt so nervous when he figured out but felt comfortable and started talking more openly once it was revealed, it’s so cute how they weren’t even talking for long but immediately felt connected once they found out they had that in common

Happy Pride! The beautiful thing is when they revealed who they were the feeling of relief and comfortability just settled in. As a gay black man in America I feel that on so many levels. Gay people hold all this weight on our shoulders to "blend" in but that's why we have our safe spaces where we can be ourselves inwardly and outwardly

as a non-binary person i can absolutely relate to the giddy and exciting feeling of meeting someone who is also trans. as much as people have been more comfortable coming out recently, i still feel like it's seldom i meet a trans person irl. when you do, there is almost always some kind of underlying understanding, you're able to communicate with your eyes and you feel so seen. it's warming to know you aren't alone in your experience, there's somebody right next to you who has been there. it's beautiful

This video was amazing, As a fellow FTM trans person. I feel a lot more comfortable dating other trans people, also know as (T4T, which means trans for trans) basically I prefer dating other people under the trans umbrella. Everyone has different experiences with T4T. Some trans people only date the opposite gender because it makes them feel validation, or they date the same gender. Everyone has different experiences on how they work their life around being a transgender person. I really enjoyed this video and I like seeing other peoples experiences of being transgender.
Yeah, I've definitely noticed a dating preference in myself. I'm a trans man, and my longest relationships have been with transfemmes. I feel like with other transmasc people, I'm always comparing or projecting onto them-- there's a lot more room for jealousy and guilt, even if I am glad when they're not hurting as much. But with trans women it feels like we're both wanting different things but in the same way, and it's easier to deal with those emotions when it's not a 1:1 comparison. As an example, they might also want bottom surgery, but it's a different process with different hoops to jump through, and so I understand the emotions they're feeling but I'm not comparing it to my own transition.
I don't think I'll ever be able to date a binary person because of my comes relationship with gender.

I am not transperson myself but I have a very precious friend of mine who is FTM and I know by his example how hard is it to go through all these changes but in the same time how it was releifing for him. We (me and him) live in a trans- and homophobic country (recentry there was passed a law about LGBT "propaganda" which assumes punishment for any mention of LGBT and there can be a prison sentence for that), and honestly it's truly a pleasure to see that not the whole world is gone crasy and somewhere people can live freely and happily how they feel and want as these two cute persons on the video
