I have been missing these video's Sorin.. I don't do social media or discord or crypto mining.. I am just a 70 year old fella trying to learn a bit about lap tops.. and YT is about all I use my system for these days.. and of course e-mail to keep in touch with the kids.. Thanks for all you teach my friend.. you are really a good teacher.
I thought I was his oldest viewer at 64, but I was wrong.🙂
@@Liferoad371 Give it time.. soon you might be.. ;-)
No you as are definitely not the oldest.
@@mikeciavarella316 Yeah I have talked to a few guys that are older then my 71.. how old are you?
@@tinkmarshino 74 and counting.
As a senior tech, your fellow workers should respect you & your tools by keeping their hands off anything on your bench. Nothing worse than someone taking a tool and not putting it back where they found it. 🤬 Good to see you again. Look forward to every video.
I agree with you.. I was a carpenter for most of my life.. And to touch another mans tools with out asking was just not done.. unless you were a complete jerk in which case a good fight would ensue.. But you are right.. respect.. you show your respect by not disturbing another persons area with out permission.. I am sure Sorin would give it but the point that you were making and I agree is you just don't.. Carry on..
Sorin, we look forward to spending more time with you this way. With much respect
Sorine,, te rog mai multe videouri. Nu urmăresc nici un serial la TV dar pe tine te urmăresc cap coada. Foarte captivant. Mulțumesc!
Hi Sorin i have also missed your videos ,i have been into electronics for over thirty years and still learn from you my freind.thank you so much.
welcome back sorin ..hope the family are fine .. great simple video regarding internal resistance explained well .. god bless to you all ....
I like when you say "Let me get the alcohol"
God Bless You & Your Family Sir
Seriously hacks me off when I leave tools only to find they’ve been moved and I can’t find them. Puts me in a mood for the rest of the day. Especially because I buy all my own tools.
Mosfets issues never get boring thank you for your good work and teaching lessons
Good and professional like always. Thank you Sorin for sharing your knowledge with us, and keep up the good work!
Sorin,
You are back! I’m so happy

Thank you, Sorin..it's really inspiring. I'm just starting to learn repairing, I have a ThinkPad X230 powering on but no display. I think I'll start looking into it this weekend
Thanks Sorin, nicely step by step explained and hands on. Oh...yeah...I get crazy also if they (re)move my tools, that is very annoying.
Excellent fix Sorin thanks

Basically, Sorin fixes the laptop with his finger, Amazing!!
i was waiting for your video
Good job
Hi sorin, pleased to see you again!
I've seen a lot of your videos, but
In this video, it seems to me that you want to say a bit more of what you actually say and do. Expecially in the moment you find the broken mosfet. Also in the voltage injection moment. You say "be careful" but you don't say to what.
Great video 😉👍⚡
Thanks!
Nice. Thank you
thanks best teacher
the cool thing is that I'm currently watching this video with a laptop belonging to that series
Excellent
Best of the best
voce é muito bom no que faz e ensina os outros
Excellent 👌
Yessssss new videooooo 😁😁😁 !!!
I love you so much and I learned a lot from you, but I hate the profession in shops. People suspect that we are thieves and want you to fix while standing in front of them. It's tough. I love this area, but inside the shops is a curse
Perhaps, you can explain what we saw in this video, to me:
At +/- 8:50min , when the injected voltage [19.6V] falls to 3.72V, Sorin says that the internal resistance of the short [?!] is high, so the probability [of the issue] being a capacitor, is very low, “ …and the voltage is quite high” so, it’s probably a mosfet. I have a few questions: 1- When the injected voltage [19.6V] fell to 3.72V, how can the resistance be high? 2- When the injected voltage [19.6V] fell to 3.72V, he says the voltage is quite high [?!] so, it’s probably a mosfet [?!?] . PLEASE explain what he meant - I’m still a novice in electronics, but does ANYTHING in this video make sense, to anybody? PLEASE clarify. I truly want to learn. Thank you kindly
people asked you some very good questions in this video, nice going guys!

so good to see you sorin.. nice video 👍👍
This is awesome work! Do you have any tips on troubleshooting a laptop that will not recognize an SSD? I do have spare ssds to test with so I know it is not the drive
best man
hello sorin and thank you for all your video's....why you can't test the mosfet if it is shorting or no out of board !!
Request repair modul system radar...
be blessed brother
At 13:09 you appear to be placing the the test leads on pins #3 and #7 [source and drain, respectively] of the first mosfet. Then on the second mosfet, you place the test leads on pins#2 and #7 [source and drain, again] BUT at 15:15 you say to test a mosfet, you have to connect the gate to ground [I’m assuming that you mean: place the red test lead on the mosfet’s gate and the black test lead on a ground point, right?] so, which is it? I’m confused by what you are saying AND doing. Please clarify. Thank you kindly
Good job Sorin, next time leave microphone on when you blame staff about missing tools😀
Magician
Good man
Here we go again , lovely ❤️
You know.... electronics is a religion and Sorin is our buddah
We love you Sorin , keep doing the good job
Greatings
Master sorin
Can you plz share us a hint on UPSs boards repair tkx
True, basic maintenance sucks with this model & the similar HP ones which follow the same pattern
Thanks a lot for making us understanding common pc issues. I have an Asus tp300ld which starts well and the problem is that the battery not charging but discharging. Please can you help me solving this problem?

Good Day, I have find your videos very interesting. I am currently learning electronics. I have an HP DA0U93B6D2 REV:D motherboard that doesn't power on. When plugged in, the power indicator light is on. When I press the power button, the power indicator light goes off and then returns but the system doesn't boot. Can you advise how could approach my problem
good
Great one Sorin Thanks😍
usa
Thank you good job
why u did not change the mosfets driver? piernov and dexas says always replace the mosfets driver if u replace any of the two mosfet- the high side or low side, except for dc in
Lol, sticker on the bottom of the HP laptop reads “DELL” 🤪
I have an HP probook 450 g2 laptop and the power light is blinking constantly. And the power button keep lighting. What problem usually could be considering this symptom?
How are you I've been struggling with a Acer aspire e1 that has water damage it originally had no power I replaced a mosfet then it turned on CPU temperature raised alot then shut its self of after turning it on and off it stayed on and temperature decrease while also it didn't want to boot because of a boot loader problem.I then went for further diagnosis Wich after the board was powering on but the screen would not is there anything that you could help with or could I email you would really appreciate it if you could reach out
Cool...
Mosfets pain the backside sometimes the shorted fet' cascades other fets on a power rail .................
I don’t understand why at 8:43 you say the issue is most likely a mosfet. A mosfet controls the current flow [in a circuit] depending on the voltage it gets/or is provided. So, why/how/what in this case, makes you say, it’s most likely a mosfet problem? Are you deducing this, from the fact that capacitors let current through and in this case +/- 2 amps are flowing in the circuit, without problem? Please explain, I want to learn. Thank you
I didn't know you could just swap in mosfets from other boards. I thought it had to be the same part number mosfet as there are so many architectures.
I'm no expert but I have to assume he used his experience and took liberty believing the high side Moffett to be around the same power rating/heat etc to start the laptop. Probably he read the letters
"Easy and Pleasant" to see you back from mining. Mining is tiring right? and expensive? 😂
How you always have hot bad part, I made 3-4 graphic cards with shorted mosfet and when injected voltage never getting hot. My power supply has protection but same as yours, voltage drops and amperage increase...
Wbr
ok rocko,s think sack be there on the 6th sat
Sorin, get a lockable toolbox.
Test those meter leads, i would not expect a multimeter to suddenly show nothing.
Sir i have a asus rog g15 laptop it is water damaged everything is working fine the professor , ram ,ssd ,grafic card but it is not able to detect battery can this issue be resooved or i need to change the motherboard please tell sir
I have an old laptop which doesn't turn on the charging used to turn on it doesn't anymore i don't feel anything being hot
sorin very angry after losing the zippo fluid
Easily amused much?
Where is my Alcohol?! 🤣😂
