On MLK day 2016 I went to the university of Minnesota Fairview clinic in Minneapolis to get an mri on my legs for what would be a diagnosis of an ultra rare autoimmune disease: dermatomyositis. Laying down, preparing myself to be inserted legs first into this machine the technician hands me a pair of white headphones to have something to listen to. The FM station happened to be on 89.3 the current, an indie station in the twin cities and the first song they played was this. Appropriate as all I could see were the green fluorescent beams of light emitting from the machine. A day I will never forget.

it got really interesting vibes, sound like the Booka Shade of the old times, but mixed with a very peculiar 80' sound/atmosphere. Something nostalgic, and positive, and relaxing, and strong at the same time.

AUGH it's so good! So musically intense and intricate without being subject to the normal rules of harmony and, well, even tonal sounds! And that beat! Classic Hot Chip style mixed with a 2015 feeling.

God damn do you guys make the music i can not listen to for a year and still know it so well I can play it in my memory. This, and multiple other tracks, have inspired so much in my art and writing, the music videos have too. Wish you had as wide recognition as yous deserve, something so special and unique. Hell even alexis' side project cameo in the major lazer cartoon track, that never even officially got realesed, is an absolute banger of a track, imo, the best track in the show, and I was a huge fan of a few of the songs from it.
