You are 100% wrong. It is the reverse of what you said. It came from military issues with China as everyone in military uses them and they were showing all the movements of different units around the world. And this is not just USA. So due to the freakout of this fear, Military stopped using DJI, and Skydio was NOT the best replacement, they are crap, but that is all there is. So trust me, it came from Military issues first, not from Skydio.

Dude, so many on YT set the trend and everyone follows. I completely agree with you, it’s pointless and annoying. But hey the YT experts believe it’s the way to go and everyone follows rather than finding their own creative ways to engage viewers. Lol. Maybe it’s considered “cinematic”. LMAO - every fucking expert on youtube talks about cinematic but yet none can actually define what that is in its entirety. And let’s not forget the misleading titles and dramatic thumbnails - the clickbait never ends. But then our society seems to take the bait more often than not and is likely a reason for the incredible percentage of the dumbed down among us and also the incredible number of useless videos on YT.

@@reviewprodigy Sorry to hear that. Get well soon 🙂As regards your title question 'what happens now' I see some interesting possibilities. 1. There could be plenty of used DJI drones appearing on ebay etc for those of us who live in less restrictive parts of the world to buy cheap. 2. Same thing that used to happen in the UK when the government proscribed some adult satellite TV channel the operator closed down then a new channel of the same content with a different name appeared and the cycle started again. So DJI would likely make and market 'equivalent spec' drones under some other company name for the US market and the legislators have to start all over again to ban that one.

Personally, I am a bit concerned about the US military and government using DJI drones that could be tracked by China! If there were a US company that was making drones as good, lets say a top end Holy Stone, and at the price, I would get it. I haven't looked lately, but I doubt that it has changed. I don't think a US company will try to compete with Chinese hobby drones, when they can get high end contracts! Even now, it seems that anything less than a thousand dollars, is a beginner/budget drone.
If all drones and parts are restricted in the US, sooner or later, will there be third parties in another country that will make parts for the major brands, like DJI, Holey Stone and several others?
Right now, there are drones that have been out ten years or more and one can still get parts for, but that may be coming to a end, so I guess one might consider stocking up on spare parts for all ones drones.

DJI had to be slightly state owned as working in a communist country .. The government sits on a lot of large Chinese companies.. Also FCC controls the radio wave frequencies… if they so wanted they wouldn’t have to police drone usage .. they could just shut them all down & before that drastic move they have you with remote ID . Or your drone registration.. This isn’t going to affect hobbyists or pro’s only . Police, army, search/ rescue. Not to mention agricultural crop spraying.. no more new products, firmware updates or spare parts.. they can just wait for existing drone to crash or fall apart .. companies like American Skydio will be all that’s left..
