200 applicants at the local dollar store where you'll get 40 hours a month on minimum wage working as the only employee in the building and they want you to be bilingual.

  • @AIIG-zd5dx

I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever, hoping to retire next year.. Investment should always be on any creative man's heart for success in life

Coleman is completely oblivious to the realities of the current job market--probably because he's protected inside his wealthy bubble. Associates of mine, who possess master's and PhD degrees--who have 10+ years experience, and have submitted over 500 job applications--NOT AN EXAGGERATION--are not getting any response from companies who post job listings. The job market is broken. Ken needs to wake up. Not everyone is blessed with employment right now--certainly not for a lack of trying. There are people who spend 10-12 hours a day job-hunting with virtually ZERO RESULTS. Calling anyone who was laid off after 10 years of service as an exceptional and dedicated employee and is currently struggling to find work is incredibly insulting.

The job market has “sucked” for decades! Per ShadowStats, the unemployment rate is closer to 25%.

  • @Dan-gj1hz

Job market has been on the decline since November of 2022. This is a joke.

All I'm hearing is, "Don't believe your lying eyes, the job market is great."

  • @MWebb-de9pq

I've been unemployed for 11 months. I just interviewed and was told I don't have the right experience. I have 10 years in the field with a PMP certification. This market is crap.

So you list legitimate info on challenges job seekers face but then turn around and we aren't being competitive. How do we know if we are applying to a fake or old job posting while wasting our time????? Thank God you don't have to look for one.

  • @jamespalmer7247

I say the job market sucks because it sucks for me. It sucks for a lot of people. Throw in ghost jobs, ageism, and employers wanting to lowball us, and the suckage is palpable.

If it's so great why is everybody saying it's not. Also with AI job recruiters are using very specific words to find that perfect resume.

  • @lasurfette7830

Currently unemployed and laughing at this.

  • @cjmixer99

Sorry Ken. I like your show, and the good intentions behind your messages. But you’re wrong on this one, and not a very constructive way to help your audience. I can confirm the ghost jobs out there, as recruiters have admitted to be that many job postings were not actual jobs. I also host my own podcast and discuss the industry of motion design, and studio owners and freelancers can all confirm that projects have been getting canceled and bookings cancelled due to budgets being cut and layoffs affecting business relationships. Nothing new to the business landscape, but there has absolutely been a huge slow down over the past year in our field.

The job market is terrible! My son and his girlfriend both lost their jobs that they had for years when Rite Aid closed. They cannot get a job to save their souls. They have applied to tons and tons of jobs, even part time jobs, and completely ghosted. They won't respond to calls or emails. Just dead silence. They are about to lose their apartment as they have been burning through their savings. They are extending their reach to other places but so far not even an interview. So, tell me again how good the job market is. Also, I am 66 years old, and I have had a few jobs. Yes, I had to apply at multiple locations, but it never took me long to get an interview and a job. Completely different from now. It's also very unprofessional for companies to not have at least some response to an applicant. Even if it's just a small email or text.

  • @magicparkmemories

Job market is horrible . I am single and not married. I am worried

  • @michaelsmith5583

I am 200+ applications in. Nothing yet. Seriously considering reducing my credentials on my resume to try to get a job beneath me. I just want to work again.

  • @BirdDogey1

Ken Coleman is the Joel Osteen of Jobs and Economy Advice.

  • @jameswedding9635

I've been a truck driver for 12 years, I've NEVER had such an incredibly difficult time trying to get a job that doesn't suck, I've had multiple interviewers tell me that I'm competing with over 100 people with similar experience every time I interview because of other companies going bankrupt.

  • @BamaPatriot61

Does anyone actually believe the government data? We know inflation is vastly more than they claim and every single time they release unemployment numbers they have to adjust it later showing fewer jobs available. Next question is what kinds of jobs are available? Many people are forced to work multiple jobs just to pay for basics so when many have multiple jobs, it skews the numbers as well.

  • @rg_barrow

I’ve been out of a job since early February. My resume is stacked. This is the hardest time I’ve ever had finding a job in my life…the numbers are BS

  • @creeper2054

I cannot believe that you can be as uninformed as Ken and have a show on CZcams.
