that checkin area is so wide open. feels kinda refreshing to a lot of other airports that seem much more cramped.

Sacramento International Airport is one of the few North American airports that look world class from an architectural standpoint. They absolutely nailed the design. I’m not a fan of these new airport renovations of older North American airports across other in other cities that continue to have this rather low-roof designed with limited windows and being excessively orthogonal in terms of design which I find quite claustrophobic.

How many floors?

I live here in Sacramento. Terminal B has 3 floors. First floor has the baggage carousels. Second floor is ticket counters/check in. Third floor has shops and is where you take the Automated People Mover/tram to the security check points/gates.
