    Living out here for 15 years and it was kinda rough like a decade ago but it's gotten way better with the updates to downtown and less crime now.

    Thanks for featuring Hayward! Been here for almost 5 years now and so far so good! It's amazing to see how many development projects happening at the same time.

      Awesome, @Eddie! Thanks for commenting here. I think Hayward is ahead of the curve when it comes to providing new housing supply.

      Like the entire Bay Area isn’t? Even Livermore is more expensive than Hayward.

    Hi! Is the Mission Blvd/Mission Garin is a good area and safe area?They built a new community along Mission Blvd and I want to know If It’s worth the price for a condo townhouse style? Thank you

    • @livinginthebayarea
      @livinginthebayarea  Před 2 lety

      Hi @Gael, I always encourage people to do their own due diligence when it comes to crime, but relative to other parts of Hayward, the area has seen a lot of improvement BECAUSE of all the new development. There are tons of conveniences and shops along that part of Mission Blvd, and it doesn't feel too industrial. Of course the areas above Mission and further away from BART are less densely populated.

    Thank you for the video. Really helpful. My wife and I are looking to buy a home in Hayward but we ate concerned about the Hayward fault line. Any updates on that front? Do you know if the newer constructions built to handle that?

    • @livinginthebayarea
      @livinginthebayarea  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Shrey! of course. Thanks for watching. With every home transaction/sale, the Natural Hazard Disclsoure Report is required by the State of California. That report should at least provide whether or not the home is technically located in an earthquake fault zone and will also provide a soil liquefaction score. I am NOT a structural engineer, but modern building standards for foundations require concrete slabs reinforced by steel and foundations are designed with soil composition and earthquake probability in mind. Older buildings, common even in Hayward, are required to have seismic retrofit upgrades (anchor bolts, cripple walls, replacement or capping of brick foundations with concrete).

    Is usa is safe for indian students like I am afraid from gun fires news please reply

    • @livinginthebayarea
      @livinginthebayarea  Před 2 lety

      HI @love Canada, California has much stricter gun laws than other parts of the United States, but that does NOT mean that California or the Bay Area does not have gun violence. I cannot verify the validity of the data from this site (www.gunviolencearchive.org/) but of course the more densely populated parts of the United States have higher rates of gun violence. Wherever you decide to move, I encourage you to do your own due diligence when it comes to crime using local law enforcement agency sites. Look at the places (and their surroundings) you plan to rent or buy on Google map street view. Check out neighborhoodscout.com. If you plan to move to the Bay Area, feel free to reach out again.

      We do have a large Indian population in the United States especially in the San Francisco Bay area.
