They were actually approached to record an English album with Will.I.Am and they did do work in his studio in season 2 of their web show, 2NE1 Tv (which thankfully is still up). But only a collaboration on one of Will’s albums ever came from it. YG even removed the video of Will.I.Am asking them personally to let him do it and they removed the English version of Can’t Nobody’s music video for some damn reason (either to hide the fact about the album that never came, despite being a track on their Korean album To Anyone or could have been the fact they wanted to hide their connections to the western music industry when pushing out Blackpink or even Psy, just random theories though). Like there was no real reason to removed a music video that I’m sure costed an arm and leg.
