    I wish every company I dealt with was as good as RPS! The online information covers everything and is high quality. The sales / customer service team helped this first-time well-owner with all details and took the time to discuss and explain when needed.
    When I received our RPS 800 with full turnkey kit for our off-grid property, I read the outstanding manual from cover to cover. After that I made all of the connections, did a bucket test, and everything worked the first time. On installation day, everything went smoothly and it was so rewarding to get water pouring out of the well after turning the system on!
    We have another off-grid property which needs a well so now I’m a repeat customer after ordering a second RPS kit. I highly recommend RPS to anyone needing a system.

    I live in the the deep South - our humidity average is around 60% - moisture defuses or scatters the UV light that shines down off the sun -
    Solar panels rely on UV light to excite the panels - down here on most sunny days solar panels only generate 20% of there rated out put at noon day -
    There are always clouds that further reduce the out put of solar panel out put -
    This summer it did not rain much at all - we had the lowest humidity we had in yrs - 35% many days when it was 110° - solar panels generated 40% of there rated out put at noon day -
    Solar panels work well in dry regions but not well in humid regions - I had was worked on generators in the offshore oil and gas industry for decades so I notice those things -

    Good day I'm from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
    I just bought this system , I had to ship it to my business partner in the USA and then have them ship it to me here in SVG, it should be in my hands by November this year
    My well is about 8ft, low well.
    Question (1) how low should I drop the pump at that depth?
    Question( 2) my tanks is on a hill ascend about 50ft up will the pump be able to pump the water to that height in a sufficient manner?
    I have 2 600 gallons tanks

    This is great. So many others just make a 5 min video pointing at things and components, naming them and reading from a brochure card. Seeing it put together helps me understand how it works and what I need to replace my AC pump with a DC solar pump.
    Well done.
    I want to put it on a 48v battery bank, do I also need a charge controller or does the controller that comes with like the RPS400 kit handle the charging as well?

Fortunately our installer taped the electrical to the pipe drop every 10 ft and when the pipe drop came out of the well head, pulled all of the connections loose they were able to fish it out and since wires were taped, it was repairable. 😊

    This system looks like it would be ideal for many of my clients. How do the components hold up in outdoor salty environments? Most of their empty lots would be off grid at the beach. Constant wind and salt spray, and a long rainy season has been a rough go for most systems installed in the past.
    How do those low water level detectors hold up if there is any iron in the water?
    Do you have international distributions set up/ship to Panama at all?

    Looking in to a solar pump as our current setup is at 20years and nearing end of life. Silly question, but what about water pressurizers?
    We’ve got an old Grundfos 1.5hp pushing pressure through 2 75 gallons tanks for the house and 5 acre ranch property.
    Tanks are in good shape thankfully

    • @RPSSolarPumps
      @RPSSolarPumps  Před 4 měsíci

      A solar pump works exactly like an AC pump in that capacity, you just get a properly sized pump to fit what ever pressure requirements you have. Need 60 psi? tell our techs that and theyll take it into account. You probably wont be far off of using a 1.5HP again, just this time you'll be powering of of solar. And since there are lots of different 1.5 HP pump options out there, we just find the one that fits your well depth and provides enough flow rate for the ranch applications + house

    • @RPSSolarPumps
      @RPSSolarPumps  Před 3 měsíci

      Yup. And you can choose the kind of water system setup. Most completely off grid home customers go with the option of pumping from the well, into a storage tank and then booster out with a secondary pump that runs off batteries. However, I've worked with many a people who decide to go straight into a pressure tank, and just opt for a larger 100+ gal pressure tank to tide them over during the night / of hours. Its up to you, but we can make almost anything for off grid work!

Are they designed to work at a certain range of heights (or pressures) or at a single height only ? I'll be more specific by giving an example : let's say we have a 2 meter high tank, and the tank full sensor has to send a signal to the controller when water reaches 1,8 m for example. Does the pump run again when water level goes just under 1,8 m or is the sensor designed to rerun the pump at a certain low height, for example 0,3 meters ? Is it the same for the low well sensor ? Thank you !

      Potentially, the RPS 400 has a head ability up to 225 feet, and we size a pump based on static water level and any additional head from pressure or vertical lift into a tank. If you call us with a description of your system we can give you an answer in just a few minutes after doing a couple quick calculations!
