I completely agree with you. I used to do clowning around my area...but because of scary clown movies...people are frightened of me..so I had to quit clowning...😭😭😭!! Now my professional clown costume and all my makeup goes unused!!!
@@johnramsey2480 Aww, that's a real shame! I've always loved clowns, the stigma around them because of scary clown media is awful. I never see them at festivals and fairs anymore :(
@@anonymousalligator3339 Because we are no longer allowed to work carnivals and festivals. The promoters are afraid we will frighten the patrons too much....😭😭😭
@@johnramsey2480 awwww i feel bad for you my friend. Indeed the hollywood industry have destroyed the clown. I used to watch this dutch kids series called Bassie and Adriaan. About 2 friends (1 clown). And it was very good
@@johnramsey2480 Come to New Orleans! I have some friends that do a once a month clown show at a bar. It’s very funny, strange and very adults only 👀 gets real weird. Actually you could probably find episodes they made during quarantine on here under ClownTown

I joined the Shriners Clown unit, about the time my wife started having bad health issues that required my constant care, so I got out of the clowns. It's been 23 years since then & I'm still a clown at heart. I lost her a few years ago so I rejoined the clown unit. Now to learn how to do the make-up to look like the clown i already am.

Auguste has always been my favorite genre of clown probably because most of the clown related things that got me into clowns were auguste like the clown miit haar or this painting my grandma used to own

CSRAELTET, the sock in filled with just plain old Baby Powder. Nothing fancy. Just pour the whole thing in and tie the top of the sock in a knot.

Hi Professor QB, I love your tutorial about clown makeup, but I have a question. How is it possible that your makeup does not run when you're brushing away the excess of makeup? Is that because of the quantity of makeup you apply in your face? Please let me know!! Thanks.

Great question.
The powder absorbs all of the moisture from the make-up so that it is set and can be brushed and even touched.
The make-up stays put until it is removed with either a make-up remover cream or lots of soap and water.

Let me see if I can help clarify what happens.
The water does not set the make-up. The powder sets it.
But some clowns do lightly spritz their make-up with water after the powder has set the make-up.
They brush away the excess then spray a light mist of water.
That powder is wheat flour?
No. It is regular Baby Powder. 🙂

Great question? There are four basic types of clown. 1) Whiteface clown 2)Auguste clown 3) Character clown (like a tramp, hobo or other type) 4) Lite-Makeup clown
