Clowning took me away from drugs
Gosh I love clowns. I used to have this weird aversion simply due to the idea of the white facepaint. I have autism spectrum disorder and sticky stuff on my skin always was an issue for me, sensory-wise. Even seeing it on other people set me off, like as a kid and when I saw other kids put little stickers on their face I would physically recoil. But I’ve gotten a lot better about sensory stuff, really going headfirst. And now that I’ve gotten over the makeup, and the idea of what it feels like to wear the makeup (and that practically no one uses greasepaint anymore) it helps a lot.
It's not these guys that are scary, it's the ones that don't wash up at night that are

I used to think clowns were creepy, but There are creepy, perverted old men in every profession- it’s just that it’s easier to judge a clown by the cover.
Pediatricians and social workers for example, some are so perverted and devious and yet they get away with it because of the white coat. Don’t be fooled by your eyes

Clowns are not scary. It's just those people who doesn't have anything to do with their lives that makes everything complicated. I hate those people who uses clowns to do bad things and tarnishing the names of the professional ones who just want to make people happy with their job as clowns :(

If clowns wore less makeup and kept it simple like you they won't be as scary. It's when they have a big painted on smile that makes it scary.
The light Auguste makeup is getting more popular these days. Similar to 0:11 Very little white, just a bit of eye and lip makeup, maybe some rouge on the cheeks. Much easier to put on, better for a small audience, and less frightening to kids. 😎
