(2004 Acura RSX base automatic) had check engine light reading “P0325” knock sensor replaced....code continued to show even after clearing it 3 times! Took it apart and cleaned out the plug connector, now code is gone😎
Can someone please tell me how they managed to LIFT the support beam unbolted @3:06 on the left side of the screen?I have followed this video to a T and I can't get the first support beam to lift above the right and left support frame. I tried TWICE and watch this video each time. I have an 03, maybe this is why?
Whoever just thumbs upped my comment just now. There's a bottom bolt you need to remove. The middle brace/bar that goes to the bottom has a 10mm bolt. You can get to this without removing the front bumper, but you have to remove the plastic clips to the splash cover. This isn't covered in this video, and I'm almost certain it's for 02-04 & 05-06. Makes no sense why this isn't mentioned in the video. This trick also helped me install my ESMM front mount, without it you'd probably have to remove the front bottom frame support(black bar under the oil pan).
The knock sensor should thread into a blind hole Ronald and therefore if you're seeing oil seeping out of the plastic, you're likely looking at either a transmission pressure switch or an oil pressure sender.
@@TilcTac Yes, try clearing the code. If it comes back clear it once more. I had a P1259 code due to a bad VTEC solenoid. I replaced the solenoid, cleared the code but it came back the next day. Cleared it again, and hasn't come back within 2 weeks. Not sure if the ECU really need to learn, or if the part needed to be broken in. Wonder if other engine parts/sensors are like this.
@xavierarenas142 he actually mentions access is limited from underneath at 1:35 -1:45 but it can be done. Jack up the front on jack stands, open the hood, get a light source(best is bendable flash light). Slide under the front of the car. Get a small ratchet and small extension in there and get it out. The trick is maneuvering your arm the right way. It may seem difficult at first but once you get it down it's a walk in the park and you can do it in less than 5 mins...
@at-yj8pl it's kinda tight to get in their with connector cleaner and that long straw you put in for accurate spray. Disconnecting the connector is easy. Once you can see it there shouldn't be an issue getting your hand up in there... maybe grip strength is an issue? I don't know... I'm 6'3 270lbs with big arms and hands and it's still an easy job for me. I would say the only difficult part is keeping the senso steady in between your fingers to get it into the hole and turning the first few threads. The weight of the sensor makes it like to wobble around. However, if you can get your hand and arm in there just right with a flashlight you can actually see your hand, the sensor and the hole with no issue. Good luck.

@@lightning5273 did you end up replacing the knock sensor? Or did you find another reason at fault?
@@zackeryholtz5569 I replaced the sensor and it fixed the issue.
@@lightning5273 what was your problem? Knocking if you press the gas pedal hard? When taking off usually

P0325, saying to replace the sensor was the only thing.
This car must be lacking thr clips from hell
I have one l think is leaking oil through the plastic have you ever seen a knock sensor do that?

I have 2004 acura rsx a just change the knock sensor but still have check engine light 😓😓😓😓 I wonder if harness is the problem
Try getting the codes cleared. If you did it right and clear the codes, the CE light should turn off and stay off. 👍

@@lightning5273 Ever found the issue? Same thing, P0325 and P1259 at same time. Already replaced the sensor and the solenoid...
You can do this from underneath the car. Mine literally only took about 5 mins.
How?
