- This week we diagnose and fix a P1077 DTC code on a 2002 Acura RSX. P1077 DTC definition is Intake Manifold Runner Control System Malfunction Low RPM. Engine power is achieved by closing and opening the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve. When the valve is closed, there is high torque at low engine speed. When the valve is open, there is high torque a high engine speed.

Golden rule, don't create more work for yourself. Ever happen to you?
THANK YOU!!!! Made it ez to understand with out going on and on and on...
Great video. Hope she is doing well after surgery.
Wicked video, I havent tried this solution yet, but I had the exact same problem, knock sensor replacement and followed by this code!
that is what im dealing with now, i replaced my knock sensor, and now it threw this code, what was your solution?
You guys ever get that fixed? Same problem here but im gettin vacuum on the solenoid. Wish it was same problem like in this video:/
The vacuum hose on the BOTTOM to the solenoid is the most common "I caused the problem". Easy to be disconnected and not reconnected when doing a starter, knock sensor, PCV valve etc. Took me a full day to find it. ARGGHHHH
this is nice video. very informative
Amazing Video thank you this saved me I know u don’t got many views on this but thank you for helping me save me lots of money amazing video 5 star ima subscribe
Awesome. Glad it helped!
Thanks for this video, cheers
Thank you for video!!! Subbed👍👍
Awesome thanks!
I need to replace that hose right above the intake manifold , my question is , can I replace it with a vacuum hose from auto zone or do I have to use an OEM hose
Any strong walled hose should do…I.e. such that it won’t collapse under vacuum.
What kind of cleaner are you using?
Just any basic carb cleaner.
so the vacuum hose at 16:21 was the problem?
Yes
You didn’t replace anything?! I’m confused. Was it just a vacuum hose that came disconnected?? I have Same codes
Yes I had changed the crank position sensor previously and knocked the vacuum hose loose unknowingly.
@@MTBPlanB oh ok makes sense. I’ll check my hose connections. I just bought the my RSX. And I know started was replace. Maybe mine is just that simple as well. Thank you for the reply my friend and excellent video
Well I wasn’t that lucky! Pulled and cleaned my IMRC and cleared P1077 code.
And guess what it came back. What a waste of time 😩
I keep getting p0662 can't figure it out
Check the intake runner control valve sensor.
Yeah I have both in Conjuction. P1077 and P0662
@@MTBPlanBwhat did you use the vacuum for?
Where is my comment?
Please explain what you are doing
