Next time you should get the black storage bins with the yellow lids. They are super sturdy, come in multiple sizes and will better protect your items from the elements. Bugs and mice still get into cardboard.
I’m not sure if want to get hit with the smell of pinesol but cotton balls with either peppermint or spearmint essential oil will help deter insects snd rodents.
I was stationed in Jacksonville Florida for 3 years. You have to keep your vehicle clean on the outside to minimize the corrosive atmosphere associated with saltwater. At a minimum rinse your vehicle (including the underside) at least once a week if not more.
I know this might be too late but next time get some pallets ( free if you ask in Home Depot) and put those on the ground first then stack your items on the pallets so there is no ground contact. Put one rodent repellent pack inside the pallet gap

there is no humidity in Arizona, but it does get very hot, into the 100s. Nevada has no humidity either, and they have seasons, snow in winter, lakes, desert, mountains, lots to do outdoors. It’s also a tax free state ✌🏼

In your go bag you should put a bottle of water, small first aid kit, a whistle, a emergency foil blanket, cell phone bank charger and cord, waterproof matches these items don't take much space but in the event you need to get out of your van due to a storm you will be that much more prepared. I definitely prefer the cold weather over the hot weather lol. Easier to warm up then cool off. Surprisingly here in Ontario, our heat and humidity is absolutely insane in the summer.

Just a heads up it's not a good habit to drink while eating your stomach is working on the food you're eating like a stove when you drink you put the fire out and you tend to have digestion issues it's good to wait 30 minutes to an hour after eating before drinking. May I recommend some flip flops from the $1.25 store, you can use while at the hotel. My husband and I always purchase cheap flip flops to wear in the hotel room when we travel.
It's nice and DRY in Arizona 🌴 🌵 🌞 but there are no beaches. Although, Arizona has its own kind of beauty. The nice weather is usually between February and May. It starts getting hot in May.

I would add a first aide kit in your emergency bag. I went thru Katrina in Gulfport , Mississippi. It could come in handy. I would make an emergency box in general just incase . You never know what the weather could belike traveling. It will make you feel better to know you have it incase you need it .
Hi Nomi. If you have not gotten the cover for your bike yet, may I suggest purchasing a large tarp cover and haul master elastic bands. The Home Depot or Lowe's usually sells them. I truly enjoy watching your journey. Traveling mercies always.
Hey Good job. My Oldest Bro and Father was Diy- Do it yourself people. Do they told me to remove the rust off of screws you got to put gloves then use baking soda and a wire brush to clean it and use some battery decorode gel on it. That's for the battery but you can probably use it for all the nuts a bolts. When they tighten screws don't let them tighten it all the way otherwise the screws would be hard to loosen. Good afternoon, if you are still in the sunshine state, please note that this is the beginning of the rainy season which seems to start like clockwork in the afternoon. When you get to the month of June all the way through November, we are in hurricane season. And again the rains come in the afternoon along with lots of thunder, lightning and heavy rain. Some areas get it more than others, so this was just a tip so that you can be aware. 🙂
You’re right I lived in Dunedin, which is north of the Saint Petersburg area, and right by Clearwater, and it rained in the summers. The storms weren’t nearly as bad the years I was there compared to the years I lived in Bonita Springs, which is just about three hours south at the most -on the same coast. The humidity, although awful in both locations -was atrocious in Bonita Springs in the summer months - The months of July and August in Dunedin and Bonita springs were mega humid. Also the bugs and everything get ridiculous then too. Just to give a heads up. For me the worst months were May - September, so the sooner you can get out of there for the summer probably the better! obviously take your time you’re doing great ! I just wanted to warn you it’s not very pleasant there in the summer if anything I would head to northern Florida if you have to wait for any parts and then head down to wherever you need to go for installation and then head out. It’s amazing how much northern Florida is different than southern Florida in all aspects ! my favorite place that I loved living was Dunedin ! I hope to move back in four years when my daughter graduates from high school. Take care be safe. Thanks for sharing.
I love in Phoenix Arizona an no we don't have humidity,It does get hot but what you don't hear is after five maybe 6 pm your are perfectly ok to move around.And it's only hot 4 months out the year. . Beautiful place to live an so much to do.

It was awesome of him to do this! Most won’t and mostly because of liability having you in a shop under a vehicle on a lift. The other part is if they show you how then they can’t charge you for it.

Get the windshield fixed by your insurance company most have free replacement. Safelite will come to you to fix it at no cost!!

May I recommend some flip flops from the $1.25 store, you can use while at the hotel. My husband and I always purchase cheap flip flops to wear in the hotel room when we travel.

It's nice and DRY in Arizona 🌴 🌵 🌞 but there are no beaches. Although, Arizona has its own kind of beauty. The nice weather is usually between February and May. It starts getting hot in May.
Right I'm here in the East Valley and if Nomi doesn't like heat, she will be in for surprise here cause this dry heat is hot.

You should start using the shower to make sure it works ok. Just short showers to save on water.
I would add a first aide kit in your emergency bag. I went thru Katrina in Gulfport , Mississippi. It could come in handy. I would make an emergency box in general just incase . You never know what the weather could belike traveling. It will make you feel better to know you have it incase you need it .
Hi Nomi. If you have not gotten the cover for your bike yet, may I suggest purchasing a large tarp cover and haul master elastic bands. The Home Depot or Lowe's usually sells them. I truly enjoy watching your journey. Traveling mercies always.
Hey Good job. My Oldest Bro and Father was Diy- Do it yourself people. Do they told me to remove the rust off of screws you got to put gloves then use baking soda and a wire brush to clean it and use some battery decorode gel on it. That's for the battery but you can probably use it for all the nuts a bolts. When they tighten screws don't let them tighten it all the way otherwise the screws would be hard to loosen. Nomi, So good to spend time with you. The service mechanic was so nice explaining it to you. Many times they blow you off especially women but he was super nice. It is so helpful to know your RV from top to bottom. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw you back in another storage unit but I guess that is part of vanlife. Good afternoon, if you are still in the sunshine state, please note that this is the beginning of the rainy season which seems to start like clockwork in the afternoon. When you get to the month of June all the way through November, we are in hurricane season. And again the rains come in the afternoon along with lots of thunder, lightning and heavy rain. Some areas get it more than others, so this was just a tip so that you can be aware. 🙂
You’re right I lived in Dunedin, which is north of the Saint Petersburg area, and right by Clearwater, and it rained in the summers.
The storms weren’t nearly as bad the years I was there compared to the years I lived in Bonita Springs, which is just about three hours south at the most -on the same coast.
The humidity, although awful in both locations -was atrocious in Bonita Springs in the summer months -
The months of July and August in Dunedin and
Bonita springs were mega humid. Also the bugs and everything get ridiculous then too. Just to give a heads up.
For me the worst months were May - September, so the sooner you can get out of there for the summer probably the better!
obviously take your time you’re doing great !
I just wanted to warn you it’s not very pleasant there in the summer if anything I would head to northern Florida if you have to wait for any parts and then head down to wherever you need to go for installation and then head out.
It’s amazing how much northern Florida is different than southern Florida in all aspects !

I love in Phoenix Arizona an no we don't have humidity,It does get hot but what you don't hear is after five maybe 6 pm your are perfectly ok to move around.And it's only hot 4 months out the year. . Beautiful place to live an so much to do.

It was awesome of him to do this! Most won’t and mostly because of liability having you in a shop under a vehicle on a lift. The other part is if they show you how then they can’t charge you for it.
