I can't imagine why you would say that this would 'not really' be a bonsai; just because it's not traditional doesn't mean that it can't follow the same forms and techniques. It's a shame that roses tend not to live as long as trees, but some of the smaller ones are known to live for as much as five decades; that's longer than I have left to me-- I'd be quite satisfied with it! It's truly lovely.

Kann eine sehr schöne Rose werden 👍🏻 ich bin mal auf das Update gespannt 🙂Ich finde es nur immer schwierig auf Dauer eine gescheite Schale für Rosen zu finden, Kaskadenschalen haben sich bislang am ehesten bewährt, die flachen Schalen, so jedenfalls meiner Erfahrung nach, wurden weniger gut angenommen von den Rosen
Habe gerade noch mal nachgesehen, Rosen sind anscheinend Tief- bzw Pfahlwurzler. Deswegen bevorzugen sie wahrscheinlich höhere Töpfe oder Schalen
World of Bonsai Das wird der Hauptgrund sein, ja :) Bäume passen sich da doch etwas mehr neuen Begebenheiten an als die Rosen - wir hatten das schon mit verschiedenen getestet auf flacher Schale; das geht 1-2 Jahre schonmal gut, aber mit und mit fangen sie dann bedenklich an zu zicken :D Bei den Kaskadentöpfen gibt es keine bis kaum Probleme, ist natürlich dementsprechend schwieriger in Szene zu setzen 🤷🏻♂️
