I’ve never seen a tiger so calm and sweet when food is involved. Literally every big cat I worked with, no matter how sweet or grumpy, wanted nothing to do with any living creature when food was brought out for him. Enzo is too sweet

Tigers can actually make a wife range of sounds. They usually mimc the sounds of their prey such as cows or deers and probably quite a few other animals that I don't know of. Suffice to say tigers are an interesting species.

Dean Schneider has shown if u spend actual times with lions from the time they were cubs & you adopt their ways instead of trying to humanize them they will accept u as part of their pride but idk if other big cats are as capable since they aren't social like lions.

I love how Enzo tasted a bit of everything first then went for what he liked the most and proceeded in that order. Diego went for his favorite and didn't seem to have much interest in the others.
Enzo is suspicious of strangers, so he won't approach anyone. Diego chuffs at them all if they chuff at him. No, they won't eat any neighbour even if they escape the fence. The only way to get out of the house is to climb the brick wall, which is too straight for them to get a footing on, and the space is not large enough for them to build a momentum and jump over it. The problem would be that they could kill the other pets out of sheer playfulness.
I spent a long time on this video studying Enzo and Diego as they were eating and then I went back and kept playing it over again and I now know how to tell them apart. Every tiger has different striping. I noticed Enzo has on his forehead what looks like two dark leaves that come together and different markings around his eyes. Diego has what looks like a black moustache on his forehead with what looks like a little arrow coming toward his right eye. It is amazing how each tiger is completely different sort of like each cat is completely different. One of my cats likes hard cat food over soft cat food and the other only eats soft cat food unless hard cat food is the only thing left. In the USA we just call it hard cat food and not pellets but I know what you meant. So pretty similar in a lot of ways to domestic cats. I love the little noises Diego makes sort of a cross between a little baby's whine and a tiger. Your tigers are so precious and darling!

This only happens when Diego is filmed eating as is evidenced by countless other videos. Enzo doesn't care all that much. Diego does in fact like Michael and regularly chuffs at him.

Enzo simply looks more "domesticated". He calmly goes through his food. Diego, however, looks closer to nature with his "take and run" approach. Maybe Diego wasn't as succesful in securing his food in his childhood? Got bullied a bit?
Diego used to be in a circus. Until Michael Jamison, like any hero would, took away tiger Diego from the circus as another tiger, In the past, Michael Jamison took Ozzy from a circus. Ozzy walked weirdly due to fractured bones from the circus. Ozzy died because of twisted intestines, again due to the circus. Diego was a replacement (but this also saved another glorious tiger, named Diego, from the circus) and now they can finally get all the love and attention they want along with 10+ year(s) old Enzo.
Not really; both are friendly. Diego's roars are more like, "stay away" as opposed to "I'm going to kill you right now!" I can imagine a really furious tiger trying to take down that fence.

Enzo is the clear alpha. Diego truly loves the chicken more than anything bc he was not nearly as aggressive when eating everything else. Diego gets his favorite and runs away bc he doesn’t want Enzo to see it. Enzo couldn’t care less bc he knows he will whoop ass if need be.
Enzo seems smarter than Diego. He doesn't stress himself out growling at anything that approaches him while eating. He knows that you're not after his food. Or maybe Diego considers you as a hairless tiger?
I think it's about dominance, and it's really an interesting experiment. They have totally different personality and i never saw his other videos, but i can bet Enzo is the boss. I think Diego choose the chicken cause it's the food he can easily take and bring away. I may be wrong, but to me he's clearly the "submissive" one. This doesn't mean it's easy to deal with him, quite the opposite. He growls and look aggressive, but in fact he's the one who took distance. Really interesting. And it's funny how Enzo just kept eating regardless of whoever was close to him.
@@aryak.9623 it's Really not about dominance. even domestic cats do that out of fear of their food being taken away and insecurity about when their next meal is going to be. One of my cats (the alpha) eats very normally and an other one (a kitten) would fuck me up if i try to even move his bowl while he eats. I made him stop doing that by moving his bowl more and having my hand near his face while he eats, but of course you can't do that with tigers so the best thing to do in my opinion is to just leave him alone so he can eat in peace without being disturbed and stressed out.

@ANTIMATTER They are still predators at the end of the day, with instincts that tell them to chase weaker and smaller preys (for food or play). Sadly, even if the tigers don't mean harm, they could easily hurt domestic cats by simply playing with it.

One of my cats likes hard cat food over soft cat food and the other only eats soft cat food unless hard cat food is the only thing left. In the USA we just call it hard cat food and not pellets but I know what you meant. So pretty similar in a lot of ways to domestic cats. I love the little noises Diego makes sort of a cross between a little baby's whine and a tiger. Your tigers are so precious and darling!

@@totoze1956 when I say he's cute when he's mad, it's because he puts on a show. He does that to ensure that his food will not be taken, hence the roar getting louder as he gets closer. I wouldn't call this aggressive behaviour, it's more reasonable than anything and it's funny when he pauses in between.

Diego used to be in a circus. Until Michael Jamison, like any hero would, took away tiger Diego from the circus as another tiger, In the past, Michael Jamison took Ozzy from a circus. Ozzy walked weirdly due to fractured bones from the circus. Ozzy died because of twisted intestines, again due to the circus. Diego was a replacement (but this also saved another glorious tiger, named Diego, from the circus) and now they can finally get all the love and attention they want along with 10+ year(s) old Enzo.

Not really; both are friendly. Diego's roars are more like, "stay away" as opposed to "I'm going to kill you right now!" I can imagine a really furious tiger trying to take down that fence.
I love how there really is a dynamic between them. Enzo seems like a nice and quiet big brother, while Diego is a grumpier, more wild little brother.

I think it's about dominance, and it's really an interesting experiment. They have totally different personality and i never saw his other videos, but i can bet Enzo is the boss. I think Diego choose the chicken cause it's the food he can easily take and bring away. I may be wrong, but to me he's clearly the "submissive" one. This doesn't mean it's easy to deal with him, quite the opposite. He growls and look aggressive, but in fact he's the one who took distance. Really interesting. And it's funny how Enzo just kept eating regardless of whoever was close to him.
@@aryak.9623 it's Really not about dominance. even domestic cats do that out of fear of their food being taken away and insecurity about when their next meal is going to be. One of my cats (the alpha) eats very normally and an other one (a kitten) would fuck me up if i try to even move his bowl while he eats. I made him stop doing that by moving his bowl more and having my hand near his face while he eats, but of course you can't do that with tigers so the best thing to do in my opinion is to just leave him alone so he can eat in peace without being disturbed and stressed out.

They are still predators at the end of the day, with instincts that tell them to chase weaker and smaller preys (for food or play).
Sadly, even if the tigers don't mean harm, they could easily hurt domestic cats by simply playing with it.

Look at honey badgers, they're very small and chase wild lions. at the end of the day a predators instincts will tell it to avoid any possible injury is more important than getting food, especially if they're well fed.
