      Hey Disha,
      Thank you for your kind words.
      So, As per my knowledge, you need to first apply for Partner Visa 309 that is provisional visa and later on you can get permanent Visa subclass 100. Usually there is a gap of 2 years in between provisional and permanent, but again it differs from individual case to case. Can’t say. After the grant of permanent visa subclass 100, one has to wait for 5 years to apply for citizenship.
      Sharing the immigration detail link for more details:
      immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/partner-offshore
      As per immigration website, it says the processing time for provisional visa that is 309 is somewhere 19 to 23 months.
      PS: Good wishes for your marriage. God bless you both.

      Hey,
      From what I recall during our time back in the year 2017, the first round started with 85 points for 189 visa, second round came down to 80 & 3rd & 4th was 75. And each occupation has its own point threshold for invitation.
      Frankly no idea when it specifically comes to Software engineer, but yes minimum experience required is 3 years to get 5 points & in our view the more the experience the better chances

      I wouldn't say racism, but yes, there are some people who might not accept you because of where you are or how you look. They obviously won't say it on your face, but sometimes one can feel it. But yes, no direct racism hurls or any problems. We have come across more good people here who are really friendly & lovely souls.

    Hi Mam, is it possible to get a job in Australia while staying in india?..

    • @HetaGala
      @HetaGala  Před 3 lety

      You can try to search if you want after receiving PR, but in our opinion, coming here & searching would be good because many employers prefer meeting people in person & also prefer people who already have a PR with them. But yes it always depends on individual to individual , in the end you know what's best for you.

    Which one do you suggest one should take- IELTS or PTE

    • @HetaGala
      @HetaGala  Před 3 lety +1

      In PTE, we get results sooner as compared to IELTS like PTE you will get results in 5 business days, ( I guess we got our results in 2 days) and IELTS takes more than that to give results. Also once you give a PTE exam it gives you an idea where you were lacking like in which section you did good in a graph form. So if you want to repeat the test, you will get a fair idea, what to work on.
      PTE is a computer based exam whereas IELTS is a hand written test & face to face( I have heard that now IELTS offers computer exams too in certain test centres, not sure though ). When it comes to cost, both are expensive & almost the same cost.
      We opted for PTE because we got the dates available sooner for the exam. PTE exam dates are more flexible & available all around the year I guess, but test frequency for IELTS is less.
      Also, there are some mock tests (paid ones ) which one can give to see which test is better for them. Most online tests are not scored means you won’t know the score only percentage of right or wrong answers, whereas in case of PTE, one can know how much they have scored .

      You can search the state-wise website & you will find many volunteer jobs available to work. Like for example, if you are in Sydney search NSW volunteering, for Melbourne, it will be Victoria Volunteering. Each state has their own dedicated website & they publish available jobs there.
