- Unfortunately i crashed my Freewing Delta Al37. Aircraft stalled a few feet above the ground while landing. 100% pilot error. Completely my mistake but i will either rebuild or build another one.

I hope everyone onboard is ok!
Nice toy plane that got damaged
my hamster was sick so he didn't get on board
Nah I don't think they made it
Lol
It was just the Littles Family !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
at least this guy is honest with his mistake unlike other people blaming it on the weather or something else
Aww man , sorry on that , that was such a cool video 💥 amazing how technology had advanced . The pic quality was perfect , wheels looks so cool retracting and seeing the flaps deploy . 😎
May all souls rest on board, RIP
Awww man, I'm sorry buddy. I'm glad it looks like it's mainly intact ( other than the winglets ). Hope you're able to get it back in flying shape again real soon. Beautiful plane you've got there.
Classic landing stall, engine ripped off wing, no survivors
As to be expected with those tiny wings and big motors. Or was that the camera lens making this look like a pod-racer from StarWars? ;-)
Hope the plane could be repaired.
Nah, both wings remained intact. However it did rip the RH wingtip and engine from the airframe. So all things considered, not the worst.
@@rc-fannl7364 The wings are about 2 meters wide
There would definately be survivors. 100%. I estimate 22-23 people would have died by pulling up 737 Max 8 charts, delta seating charts, etc. And it was not a stall, it was a windshear. You can hear a rise in audio (probably the wind) as the plane nearly touches down.
I'm never flying Freewing Delta again!
My advice to any rc plane pilots is to get your plane settled into its final approach speed on the downwind leg and maintain that speed and angle of attack on very shallow turns from downwind to base and then to final, then reduce power slightly and maintain angle of attack on final approach. If its coming in too short, dont use elevator, use power instead to extend the final leg, only use elevator to maintain the same angle of attack as was setup on downwind. If you find you are creeping up using more and more elevator, then your airspeed is getting too slow, use more power and use the elevator to hold a steady angle of attack. Usually a slight steady pressure of up elevator is good for final. Depending on the model, spoilerons can help reduce the chance of tip stalls at slower speeds.
Please stand by, everyone is checking to see if your advice was requested by anyone.
*THIS JUST IN-*
*IT WAS NOT REQUESTED AT ALL.*
So sit down and get over yourself.

@@gavinvalentino6002his post was not condescending at all. He was obviously trying to be helpful. Your comment, however, just made you look like a fool. Nice job 👍
Good advice, and similar to full scale.
@@gavinvalentino6002Where is your RC video?
Playing it frame by frame was pretty interesting. I assume it stalled and the right wing dropped uncommanded, striking the outboard wingtip and subsequent RH engine, which tore it from the airframe. I expected more damage when you picked up the camera. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully she flies again.
it’s an rc plane 😭
@@anonym123jovan7 An RC airplane flies the same as a "real" airplane. There is no magic that makes a commercial jetliner fly that does or does not make an RC aircraft fly. Fundamentally, the same forces apply.
Genius @@anonym123jovan7 figured out it's a scale model and likely has NO IDEA what an airfoil stall is.
@@markmiller6844 thx for not understanding jokes and telling me off like that?
@@Keys879 ik, i was joking about you „doing that research“ on an rc plane
That really sucks about the plane ik those can be an expensive fix. Thank you for taking accountability even though it may not have been entirely pilot error, not very many people can do that.
I always strive to find what caused the accident. Some causes can be elusive but this one was clearly 100% my fault.
@@pilot482everyone makes mistakes it’s okay, nice build btw.
Thank you for flying RyanAir
i like to think of RyanAir as being founded by some 3 year olds dad who wanted to fly but named his airline after his son.
Dude that was such a cool flight up till the very end. It almost seemed like a real plane.
yeah it was awesome!
But a beautiful livery from what I can see at first glance. Love the swirls on the fans.
Absolutely cool vid. Guessing a forwarded facing camera would have been too routine. Hey, at least at the end you walked away from/with it. Thanks for sharing.
Thx Man! That was an amazing few minutes to watch! Sorry you crashed Tex
ONO! I saw your plane somewhere on Facebook and it is really beautiful!
I really hope I have the skill to make a same... please re-build it soon and really looking forward it back to sky!
Thank you. Yes I will be rebuilding.
So, there's that bright light at the end, like I've read about. Your model was a Delta craft. Their motto used to be "The next best thing to being there". That was a fun ride, though, thank you for sharing. Better luck in the future.
Welp, definitely loads of crap running down the aisle of that Delta flight! Couple barrel rolls, some high speed low flybys, and a lawn dart maneuver to cap it off...lol
Fantastic pain job, tho- love the reflection of the engines on the bottom of fuselage. Great model!
I'm going to wait for the NTSB report to come out on this one before I talk $hit in the peanut gallery 👍
It has come out. Check the new comment.
Lots of gone into making it. Impressive finish. Hope it flies again soon.
Oh nooooooooo! Sorry to see that. Didn’t see that ending coming at all. It was a smooth flight up until the end.
I just have to wonder and ask if it's possible to rotate the camera 180 degrees? Would make for a much wider variety of visuals especially for landing?
This is absolutely amazing. I jumped up out of my chair and said "No WAY!" when that landing gear retracted after takeoff. Mad respect.
There’s nothing special about retractable gear.
My condolences.
Excelente video ,un vuelo tranquilo hasta que boom, saludos y gracias Amigo fdliz dia , espero que lo puedas recuperar para el proximo vuelo gracias
That's beautiful man nice model😊😊
This plane is nasty to fly. Especially in crosswinds, it is best not to fly because it has a low wing profile and a long fuselage with a large volume. It's a pity because it's impressive. I just slightly crashed mine while flying in a side wind...
That's a bummer.
Hopefully it's back in the air soon
Was painful to see, we hope you were able to repair it.
That windshear will get you every time.
RIP little buddy
Ouch! 😣 That sounded expensive!
RIP to all those onboard.
Good thing he got out of the airport quick, there were a bunch of giants lurking about.
Nice video ❤ ✈️
5:51 That was a beautiful sky!
Official NTSB Report: Written by [REDACTED]:
While coming in on either a low pass or a final approach, Delta Flight 37 suffered from a severe wind shear, estimated to be around 5kts, hitting on the starboard side wing. The subsequent reaction: an imbalance in air pressure over the port side aerofoil, causing the wingtip to hit the ground, then causing total structural failure in the wing and engine. Thus, the plane flipped, and ripped apart in a few locations. This is the first and only recorded hull loss of Freewing Delta Airways (ICAO: FDA, IATA: FD).
Survivors: 187
Fatalities: 22
Missing Person(s): 1
Case closed as of April 25, 2024.
nice model boeing or airbus?
Ouch! Hate to see that. Great video, what camera are you using?
It's a Runcam 4K
Sorry to see you stalled your plane on final😢
Can you hook up a vr headset and mount a camera on the front of the aircraft?
No worries, I'll polish it out!
That airport needs to redo their runway! Look at how rough that takeoff was !
Also who else though the engine reflections were lights
dangerous landing
Sorry for the mishap. Beautiful plane. Hope you are able to get it back to flying without too much trouble.
👍
What camera setup do you use? That's pretty clear. I'd like to set something like this up for my 90mm EDF Viperjet.
It was the Runcam 4K camera. The orange color one.
Wow!!! That's Bad Ass!
Iove how the turbines have those little squigley things on them!
Ikr
What role does ATC play in this? Why do the people look like giants at the beginning of the vid?
I hope BARBIE and KEN are okay 👍
Waow, hope, the damage wasn't too severe
What a shame. 😿 Only about the most perfect rc airfield and landing strip I've ever seen! Plane looked on 1 piece at least!
Hope the NTSB can find a cause. That was brutal. 🤣🤣🤣. Seriously though great video. Love RC planes!!
oops. Nice ride tho. Hope it gets fixed, great video.
Upon further investigation it was discovered that the only devise that survived this horrific crash and continues to function today, is the camera!
I notified the faa🎉
Uhhh,is the wing ok?
The way the onboard camera was looking, i could see the crash coming
Hope the damage wasn’t too bad.
Dang, That hurt. 1 upside ,no post impact fire .EV advantage .All onboard survived , minor injuries.😅
The FTSB determined that the crash was caused by a dragonfly getting sucked into one of the turbines.
Ouch!
Rest in peace to all those who didn't make it.
Great video footage! Hopefully the damage wasn't too bad. What camera were you using?
It was the Runcam 4k. (The orange one)
Ahh, I wanted to see the miniature escape slides deploy!
Speed is nowhere near scale... I like it! Wish the real ones flew this fast!
“WINDSHEAR!…..WINDSHEAR!”
Ah the Agony of Defeat. Was wondering what the craft looked like afterwards.
I hope the mini-NTSB have
Been notified!
That many go-arounds should've been an early warning sign. Should've tried your alternate xD
Was the cameraman injured!?!?
Praying for all the dogs that didn't make it out of the cargo compartment.
Best landing ever
Ladies and gentlemen. We have landed at grassland. We hope you fly with us again.
Nah man that is so cool I wonder maybe if it did a full flight from one place to another
A dang funnel gunnel got ya
It was looking so good until the end.
“Wing tu low” holi fooq” bing bang ou” sum ting wung”. 😂
That just looked expensive 😮
At least we can see the sun
What does the RC pilot have to ensure that the model is at a safety speed/AOA?
Is there any telemetry feedback to help with wind and wind gradient effects?
Nothing. This model has no telemetry. I do have a couple with airspeed but otherwise it's all by sight.
The crash was hilarious! I can only imagine the cost to repair this toy. Go get a REAL pilots licence and fly a REAL plane. R/C is such a churlish hobby for ten year olds.@@pilot482
@THEFLIGHTSIMULATORCHANNEL2020. I do have a real pilots license. In fact I have an ATP with 3 type ratings. CL65, DC-9 & B757/B767. Funny this comment coming from someone who pretends to fly an airline on a computer game that flies nothing like a real plane.
They fly like real planes and you don't have a pilot's licence.@@pilot482
I guess you are technically correct. I don't have a license. They are called Pilot Certificate. Since you probably don't know ATP stands for Air Transport Pilot and type ratings are specific training for each type of aircraft. Since your computer game probably didn't tell you that.
But what Happened in the end
Number of souls onboard?
Damn value jet
How much does something like this cost (not just the crash/rebuild but also buying/making as well). It can't be cheap.
The aircraft cost was not as high as some may think. The real cost was time. I spent a lot of time on this one. The crash was my fault plain and simple. But it will fly again. I have plans for this one.
Horrible crash but a great vid!
Is that supposed to be a max
Imagine this but with a cam in front while controlling it and having a vr headset on.
where did you get it from
It's a Freewing AL37 from MotionRC. I then custom painted it.
It was that crazy karen looking for her stolen earbuds that caused the crash. Hope you get it fixed & back in the air. 👍🏻
Boeing 737 Max 8 or Max 9?
An NTSB investigation team consisting of LEGO men will have a full report soon.
That taxi speed was trouble from the start.
Throttle is your friend!
AntAir 482 sadly crashed near the runway due to pilot error. Fortunately, there were no fatalities onboard
Ouch! That looked expensive. I'm assuming the entire fuselage broke apart
Check the last few seconds. The camera impacted the ground after the wing strike, causing it to tear from the fuselage, which made the accident seem a lot worse. However although the RH wingtip and engine were separated from the airframe, the aircraft remained primarily intact and landed right side up.
What camera do you use
Runcam 2 4K (orange one)
@@pilot482 thankyou
i gess that it was due to it got stalled , but im not sure , does it has installed an air speed sensor?
that could have privented at least a warning , i don't know , im just gessing
You dont need an airspeed sensor, your elevator input tells you whats happening. If your airplane has a proper cg and the elevator is trimmed correctly to be close to neutral so at half power, the plane should fly straight and level. The slower the plane goes, the more up elevator (pulling back on the transmitter stick) is required to keep the nose up and to keep the aircraft from losing altitude. Basically, you are trading airspeed for lift. At a certain point, the wing will stall and lose lift entirely (one wing first causing a spin or both wings at the same time cause a sharp drop of the nose). So basically, if you find you have to keep pulling back on the elevator more and more and you start using like 60-70%+ of elevator throw to keep the plane in the air, then you approaching a dangerous situation if you are low and slow. The only want out is to promptly add power and reduce elevator pressure to increase airspeed.
Would you be able to tell me how you installed your camera?
Yup. It's a Runcam 2 4K (orange one)
How did you mount it? Like with Velcro screw it in? Etc
I use foam rubber between the camera and the plane. Then I wrap velcro tight around the fuselage to hold it on. My none foam plane I can use painter tape instead of velcro.
Omg so close hope its not in to bad of shape. I wont ever fly my custom painted AL bc too much time and expense in painting it. let me know how you made out.
It's not terrible but not good either. Need new engine nacelles and probably wings. Fuselage is mostly undamaged. Lots of cracks and chips in the paint. I can't not fly it. It's so much fun to fly and land.....especially with reverse thrust.
@@pilot482 I Feel So Sorry
Is that a rc plane?
