Going through customs and maneuvering through all the ferry lanes to get to the right boarding lane looks extremely intimidating
Alex, 😊your videos are almost like travelling in real life which is something I have never been able to do. Thank you so much.
Glad you like them! Thank you!
Great video Alex 🎉
100% agree! So well stated, thank you. 😊
I agree. His camera work is so crystal clear. I was teleported! The simple movement up the stairs.........I was right alongside with him and Lela. His descriptive dialogue is totally easy listening. Loved the drone work. Such a beautiful countryside.
I really enjoyed this one, especially the drone shots. The Pethericks gave you a beautiful room to stay in! Thanks for showing it.
You’re an amazing young man. Talented and skilled with all your technology. Lela is a magnificent specimen of the breed. Thank you.
Leila is an excellent travel companion! Thanks for sharing your adventures. Totally impressed with how quickly you adapt from driving on the left to driving on the right!!!
Love the perspective of what it is to be a camera man as well as places to visit. Keep the videos coming.
Love your dog , very well behaved xx
She’s got a lovely temperament 🙂
@@AlextheCameraman. And she is so beautiful, her colouring is stunning. When I saw her sleeping on you, my heart just went AHHHH!
Lovely little road trip 😊❤
You and Lela are just adorable! Love your videos.
Dear Alex this video just hit me big time. I am currently at 59 years of life. My father hade a truck driving company moving trailers internatiolally. I spent a great deal of my childhood boarding ferrys all over scandinavia and germany. Watching this video made me remember. It all came back...felings, sounds and even smells came to me. Thank You !
What a very nice ferry, looks so comfortable and pet friendly. Glad you made it !
It’s a great ferry for people travelling by with dogs!
A very beautiful room to stay in Alex. Beautiful morning views.
THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!! You are polished and yet have such a relaxed vibe Alex. I LOVED being part of, actually feeling the road trip/ferry excursion. I swear I could smell the fresh air! Following you is going to be a unique perspective and pleasure!!! The best of best wishes to you and Leyla 🥳
Elizabeth in Arizona
Thank you!
Wow....what a nice ferry. And they have a pet lounge. Amazing!
Very interesting. Layla is beautiful. woof woof.
Great tour of your room at the Chateau!!! So nice to have a real tour of a finished room. I can't even imagine doing 10% of what Billy does.
Glad you & Lela got the biggest suite!!
I would be asleep on the couch with Lela.
Thanks for sharing Alex- what a great perspective and love Leila 🥰
Hadn’t realised pet lounges existed! Brilliant.
Every minute of this video is fascinating and beautiful - love the relationship you and Leila (sp) have! Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks a lot, Alex. You made me cry.
Happy tears!!!
As another commented, you are giving me beautiful travel experirnces, with the 2 nicest companions/guides, that I could never have. 100% felt like I was with you two.
I can feel Lela's soft fir, kissable face (c'mon, that muzzle invites kisses. ❤❤❤). How you support her chin as she falls asleep ❤❤❤
What an adventure!!!!
All the driving, the run around of NO answers when you searched diligently about re-entry into France.
When you first mentioned your concern, I confess that I giggled after a moment. Was thinking, "So why would our dear Alex be on an Interpol watch list.
Sorry, binge read myteries, set all over the UK & Scotland.
Anyway, your talent, skill, & sense of artistry bring us SO MUCH.
Much love to you & Lela,
From an old lady in Southern California.
PS
I enjoy ALL your videos.
I commented very specifically on the "Fiberoptic Installation" video.
When you film, I am THERE!!
(Also when Billy films. You are the professional, & Billy a most excellent amateur.)
Thank you for your lovely comment!
@@AlextheCameraman. I worried that I'd made a small faux pas when I mentioned Scotland as separate from the UK. Didn't want to interrupt my comment to Google, & knew you wouldn't call me out.
So, after commenting, I told my husband (together since 1978❤️) about your incredible skill. & asked the question.
I knew I'd messed up!
OK, Scotland is part of the UK.
I know Northern Ireland is also an independent nation. Now I know it is not part of the UK.
I know the Isle of Man has its own government, laws, currency & very difficult to learn language (as is Welsh!!l).
I do binge read, being disabled.
I have a friendly, e-mail relationship with the director of overseas sales for . . . Tunnocks!!
Read about their tea cakes so much in a detective series set in Scotland. Was able to order the dark chocolate type in line. Once.
I don't eat sweets due to cardiac issues. So, a teacake once a week is very special.
I emailed Tunnocks when I was unable to order on line.
The lovely man directed me to World Market in the US, as 1 source here.
They closed the location in our city a few years ago. 😥
Dear husband went on line, got the info for half a dozen stores he could reasonably drive to, including on his 40 mi 1 way work commute.
Was able to find them . . . once.
😥
Lovely dog, really well behaved.
never been on a ferry to France, love the fact they have a pet lounge 😃
Loved seeing the scenery of France
wow! nice pet lounge!
I love that there is a pet lounge on the ferry, I had no idea. What a beautiful guest room Billy and Gwendolyn have given you. I’m really enjoying the Pethericks videos when you’re behind the camera. X
I agree! Also, would love to see another behind the scenes - what you do for meals at the chateau.
"Traveling with Alex." What a treat. Love the drone shots when you made it to France. Thank you Alex.
I enjoyed this so much..avoided it at first thinking it would be boring ,but it's anything but boring.. you're a smart young feller.
Glad you liked it!!
Alex, I love you and Layla. Thank you for your videos. Be safe. ❤️
Although I know very little about the technology you use so brilliantly to create your vids, I love the results. It seems as if I am in the passenger seat beside you enjoying the view. You come up with such interesting details and provide a travelogue as well.
I have watched all the Petherick videos but have never seen a detailed tour of one of the Chateau's suites. Thanks for that. You are truly in the lap of luxury.
I was sorry to hear that you won't be a permanent part of the project team at the Pethericks. The explanation of the current relationship between UK and France, re: border crossing was fascinating. I'll just continue to enjoy your work as long as you can manage the convoluted migration between UK and France.
Hello alex, enjoy your vlogs on here and your camerawork on the petericks!❤ Your sleep with leila... sooo cute!
Great video🙂. Have been enjoying your videos on The Pethericks each evening and can see how much Billy appreciates being able to leave you to do the filming and editing so well, because it allows him to ‘Crack On’ with his ambitious projects. 😀
Alex, I love travel videos, it's even better when a professional does it, I just love your Layla. They say we pick dogs that have our personality and you have. That boat is huge!!! A pet lounge, love it. The video of you and Layla sleeping, so peacefully. Alex your treated like a Prince, that Cheteau is beautful, thank you for taking us along, enjoy your day and Layla too.
Thank you!
Alex I am so glad you are part of all this😊with Pethericks😊
Awesome video, Alex! Thanks for taking us along on your journey to France. Very interesting. Nice to see more of the "behind the scenes" videos. Looks like Lela is a good traveler. ENJOY your stay at the Chateau and your work at the Convent.
It’s been years since I crossed the English Channel. Our ferry ⛴️ was not that nice in 1977 😊. I always think about all those who crossed the channel in smaller boats to go to war 🫤. Great video!!
Thank you for this very educational video I’m in New York City never been to the UK or France so this was great. So glad you didn’t get turned back. It’s great to have you filming again! Your addition of personal cameras is brilliant!
I’m so glad you started this channel. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the every day lives you, the Pethericks and friends. Keep it up Alex!
Thank you Alex, I love the rest stop drone shot from the farms. You are very talented. I hope Layla did not get sick traveling for such a long time. She is such a good companion
I really enjoy travel video especially with your beautiful dog Layla & the filming you do for Billy at the convent too. Lovely commentaries too.
Great video, really interesting & I just love Layla🐾🥰
Brilliant vidio Alex and layla is a dream dog my 2 would be all over the place 😅
Great video, thank you Alex!
Great video, as always, the best camera man, thank you for sharing your trip to France.
Hi Alex, this was another interesting and fun video. I am so happy you and Lela were able to make it into France. I love your video's and your channel. Looking forward to the next. Love from N.Y.
"through the wall" 😂 CLASSIC ALEX BANTER
😂😂
Hi Ryan 😊❤
Being from the US, the whole ferry experience is unfamiliar. Thanks for showing it to us. Impressed how dog-friendly it is! How did you get the job with Billy? Tell us bit about yourself and how you became a cameraman.
I will do in the future!
Ah that was like a blast from the past, I used to travel down to the ferry regularly, but then on to Germany. I remember that long wait in the car waiting to get on the ferry, and then being seasick once I got on 😂
Wow, what an interesting (and complicated) way to travel across the channel. Surely GB will rejoin the European Union soon! Thank you for sharing all this great video-in my old age I will not be traveling but vicariously through your filming, I am there-in spirit and soul if not in body. From WA state.
Great video Alex, I'm no expert in the filming but I really do enjoy the quality of your videos.
Brexit has caused problems for many people, I have friends who travelled around Europe for the winter months, they voted for Brexit but did not think they would no longer be able to go travelling.
I was very impressed with pet lounge on the ferry, I am so glad Leila can travel in such comfort 😊 we had a staffy who was so travel sick, we were moving from Manchester back down to Kent and I was lucky to find Johnsons travel sickness tablets for her, she managed the entire journey right upto the point of pulling up outside the new house, had she not had those tablets we would have been stopping every half hour if not more because she was so bad at travelling.
Thank you for sharing your life and I look forward to what is to come.
Love to you and Leila xx
So what did they think would happen? If you leave the club you leave all the benefits of it!
Your dog Layla is lovely.
Hi Alex - I would like to see the inside of the gate-keepers cottage.
This was so interesting. Loved seeing the port, etc.
Precious, sweet dog ♥
lol every time I cross a border it’s nerve wracking!!! Glad you and Lela got there
We could never have anything like that in the stated. Though honestly our ⛴️ only travel less than 30min or so. Beautiful area
Most interesting. Very good footage too!!
This has been truly interesting. Being from the US I don’t pay that much attention to Brexit news and I found your experience regarding how it affects travel fascinating. I also love the views of the France landscapes. I am looking forward to more. 😊👍
Alex....My Boone and Webb lines trace to Exeter in Devon...i enjoy your trips through the countryside. I watch you on the Pethricks, who I like a lot, and your camera work does add to the experience. Your gonna do well you have that drive to succeed. Take care, Ken from Indiana 🇺🇸
Thank you Alex...that ferry is huge, so nice and pet amenities are amazing.I live in Texas USA...
Wow that looked intimidating, I don't think I could do that. That dog lounge was so cool. Nice video.
Very interesting Alex! The ferry is huge and really looks comfortable for humans and pets. Wow, your accommodation at Billy’s is awesome, enjoy! 🇨🇦🙏❤️
I’ve always wondered about ferry crossings! Many more amenities than I anticipated. I’ve always thought that the way a man treats his dog is the same way he will treat others any you, my friend, take excellent care and lavish love on your puppy
Thank you for taking us on the Ferry and the procedures with the vehicle. Customs, etc. Love the Doggie Lounge that’s Brilliant! Wow! Your spoilt you have a lovely Chateau bedroom. Enjoyed your video. Love the Pethericks they’re my No.1 You tube channel
Fantastic video for someone travelling to France....we have travelled Many times to Holland with pets we always get a cabin much more restful.so lovely to see you love your little dog so much xxxx
So much fun to travel with you, we find the same poetic approach to nature that made the chateau vids so enticing thanks to your brilliant sensitivity❤
I really enjoyed this blog... your skills are so appreciated on The Pethericks channel, and I'm so glad you're doing your own channel, Alex!! ❤
One of the most moving trips I have taken was France to England on the ferry and seeing the cliffs of Dover for the first time by sea. I wanted to cry.
I forget about you guys driving on the wrong side of the road. I did that long ago while driving stick…. Hit my fair share of roundabouts.
Thank you for sharing your journey back to France. Glad you got through the border check and made the ferry. The dogs area is pretty nice. I enjoyed seeing the rest area video.
Hi Alex. Just subscribed. Lela looks like a very chilled out dog. That chateau looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos. Take care. Nick
Thanks for subscribing!
Nice one Alex.
Billy is really taken good care of you. The daily vlogs are great. Lela is a wonderful dog Keep doing more interviews.
As a European citizen I been on all roads, that’s really nice to wach these videos. Well done 👏
Very interesting video. Like your clear and concise narration of what you are doing. Leila is so adorable. Looking forward to more videos from you. 😊
Alex, I think you have the makings of an interesting documentary about the Petherick’s restoration of the convent (and on a lesser note, their chateau). Your beautiful videography and music selections, as well as Billy;s narration and the commentary of people working are really interesting and there are backstories like Simon’s house project and Yaris’s journey into a confident and skilled construction partner.
Alex, I really enjoyed seeing your trip across the English Channel and I especially enjoyed seeing Lela - she is such a beautiful girl♥️ I’m glad you didn’t have any difficulty crossing the border - you do so much traveling for your work and you don’t need those kinds of problems getting in the way.
Wow, I love watching your videos. It is like traveling to places I would love to visit but cannot due to health problems. My husband recently passed at away at 61 so financially I may not be able to travel anymore. I watch all the channels that Billy told about. Thank you for beautiful sites and content.
Hope the long car ride doesn’t make Layla sick. Hug her for us please. Safe trip Alex.🤗
Stunning room. Your dog is so adorable
I am enjoying your video's from S.E. Alaska.
Leyla is precious ❤
Alex, I’m so glad to know you are staying at the chateau and not the convent! When you first started filming after you got back, I really thought you were staying there and that place is soooo creepy even as beautiful as Billy is making it. Maybe after he redoes the bedrooms it won’t be creepy anymore. Love your videos! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Alex loved this video ❤
This journey with you was soo interesting. Never been on an international port ferry…just an American . ❤
Fergus Dublin Ireland
You're a lovely young guy Alex. I've just
discovered your channel. I'm looking
forward to seeing lots more uploads!
Fergus
Thank you for the insight to brexit and petlounges. Such a calm and thoughtfull vlog
Nice video. Welcome in France.
🥰 Lovely, simply lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Alex, I love the videos you make for Billy and I’m enjoying your videos. Keep going and looking forward to your day in the life videos.
Interesting !!!
Thank you!
What an adventure! Layla is a sweetheart.
Loved going along the journey from England to France through the ferry system, ive never seen any of that before. Great room at the Chateau too.
Thank you so much for taking us along! The ferry looked very nice.
Alex, this was fascinating to watch! Thank you for sharing such an interesting video 💜
What a beautiful suite.
It was heartwarming to see that you could take your dog upstairs with you on the ferry. Some years ago we took our dog to France and she had to stay in the car and for safety reasons we weren’t allowed to stay with her. She howled, was hysterical and traumatised by the whole thing and we had to put her through it again for the return journey and never took her on a ferry again. I am so pleased that your dog was safe and confident with you.
That was so cool watching Layla be part of the ferry crossing 🧡🧡🧡
Great vlog Alex so interesting to see another side of France thanks for sharing ❤
Great video. Thank you for sharing. We like all the videos that you make. Keep up the good work. Best wishes from North Central Texas. 🙋🐾
Wow, that was an interesting vlog, thank you Alex. Great presentation.
Wow, how impressive your crossing was. The facilities on the boat, even a pet section. Nothing like that over here, crossing between islands. NZ. Layla is a. beautiful bubby.
