It's surprising, seeing Thomas Kochs now as the General Manager of Corinthia. As I recall, he was the GM of Claridge's. A very neat and precise man, his attention to detail is incroyable🌟

Thomas Kochs jumped from Claridge's to Corinthia, with a hefty pay raise I am sure.

Outstanding! Well said! Thomas Kochs is not only brilliant but also seems very sweet & humble as well. He is definitely someone who would be such a pleasure to meet & to know. Truly one of a kind. Indeed! Thanks to Thomas Kochs the Corinthia Hotel with its beauty, unique ambience & 'unnecessary necessities' is truly incredible. Thank you for sharing!

My husband and I had the wonderful pleasure of spending our Christmas at the Corinthia and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences of our lives. We are already planning a return visit and can't wait for the Corinthia in New York to open!

Best Hotel i`ve ever visited with a perfect service and everyone is so very friendly an willingly to help in any situation. The location is perfect for a short visit, you can explore a lot of historical buildings and museum just by walking along. Had also the best porridge, ceasars salad and scottish salmon there. Such a positive an luxury place!

Outstanding conversion from what I believe was Government offices though it started life as a hotel. Now one of the best not only in London but anywhere.

Going anywhere in London these days without being overwhelmed by tourists is getting more and more difficult. It’s good if this hotel foes have a local following, in some Mayfair hotels you’ll be surprised to hear anyone speaking English without a heavy foreign accent. I’m not against foreigners , quite the opposite, they have improved the hospitality industry enormously, but can understand that many visitors like the idea of mixing with locals.

We fully agree with your comment. Finding the right balance between nationalities, between locals and tourists is very often what makes a luxury hotel become an exceptional hotel. Thank you for following our channel.

Hardly any footage of the actual room...which is black, grey and cream. The view over london is so good...they barely show it. Hmmm...see more interested in themselves and crockery, cakes and perfume to me.
    Think I'll go somewhere else.

It's a pity the interiors are so beige cream and bland. Not even the odd antique piece to mix in.
    There's no personality or character.
I don't think anyone cares about candy or sweets trolleys.

How utterly embarrassing for this "bla-bla" hotel manager to break this precious bone china. Imagine, people work for a whole week and he just destroyed it in seconds with him taking himself too important in front of cameras. It's also annoying to listen to his English. What a shame!

    • @nette4307

Not sure where you're from, but the hotel manager is a native German, and English is not his mother tongue. Kudos to him for having made an excellent career in the Hotel business and kudos for his excellent English! I'd be curious to know how many foreign languages you speak and also if you speak all of them without an accent. Also, Mr. Kochs is anything but a bla-bla manager: He is one of the top 10 hotel general managers in the world. He can go anywhere and get a very lucrative job. Impressive resume for such a young man.

Considering that English is quintessentially a Germanic language, Mr Kochs, who is German, speaks it better than most English people.

@@nette4307 Hahaha, wherever he is from I think we can safely conclude that he's not British because if he was he would have known who Mr Kochs was.😅The BBC recently did a brilliant series on the famous London hotel Claridge's where Thomas was the general manager there and it was an absolutely fascinating series about life at a top famous London hotel and his management of the hotel. Btw,he speaks excellent English!
