I knew D Smoke was gonna win after the first episode. It just seemed so effortless to him the whole time. And for him to pull out that amazing piano ballad at THE END of the competition was just next level. Looking forward to hearing his music in the future. I think Flawless, London B and Troyman are going places as well. Such a great show!

@@tonym7295 Yeah, you never had to worry if those two were going to bring it. My only complaint was that I think they eliminated several good artists during the rap battle episode. For example, I thought Old Man Saxon should have at least made it in 2 episodes deeper, but he was put up against D Smoke. Just bad luck!

He's definitely really dope but He's not that good at making songs and like the other commenter said he's pretty one dimensional. Rappers, musicians and humans in general fuck up all the time. You could argue that Flawless might have been more polished overall and consistent. But I found him pretty uninteresting as an artist, especially in contrast to D Smoke. I think what Flawless has to contribute to music and the culture at large has already been seen 100 times over. Nothing new really. I can listen to Eminem, Drake, Mos Def, hell just a bout any rapper and get what I get from Flawless but better. He's kinda just a generic textbook rapper. where as D Smoke can contribute greatly through his musicianship and the cross cultural/ bilingual elements of his music. Hip Hop has rarely seen what D Smoke has to offer. I would even frame it as D Smoke is potentially a better artist than all of the judges, Flawless not even close.

I thought for the final performance London and Troyman were way better than Flawless and D-smoke. And I thought Flawless was the best with singing/rapping with another superstar. Honestly I felt bad for Flawless and Troyman, I just thought they were better rappers and one other guy that got eliminated early in thè battle stages. Also the goofy old school guy who lost to d-smoke in the battle was pretty good as well.

Yes he is! He has so much more talent than he showed. We went on a cruise with him a few years ago and I got up at 5 or 6am to work out. The whole boat was sleeping, but not D Smoke. He's been working hard a long Time. Then we stopped on this isolated island and he did back flips for fun off small ledges. A fun great talented guy with deep roots and a solid team! I honestly think when rapping, D Smoke sounds way better than Kendrick. I know Kendrick is good, but I don't like his style much, the way he slowly rushes his words to the beat. It gets annoying after a while. I like the way D Smoke flow much better, I could listen to him more.
