Episode 2
Pawnball Wizard
"Pawn Stars" follows three generations of the Harrison family as they assess the value of items coming in and out of their Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, from the commonplace to the truly historic.

Best I can do is give you a lousy offer with a side of wheezy laughter
Rick?!
You sir, don’t understand how pawn shops work, do ya?
This guy is literally that guy that bought the pinball machine.
Still better than your offer of an unoriginal comment lacking all whit and humour
😑wheezy laughter
"Rick's calling in an expert"
*_In walks Elton_*
That acctuly would of been assome
@@cuzdogg839 Are you ok ? ?
@@Absolutely_puck_fakestine he'll yeah but I it's Elton John dude besides you can't just walk in a store and buy one plus they had the money to pay for it
Or better yet, in walks some blind guy named Tommy. Bears a striking resemblance to Roger Daltry.
@@cuzdogg839 Dude was probably literally down the street playing his Cesear's Palace Residency. I'm sure he could've stopped by. Lol
$ 1,800 in that condition I think that's a insult.
So is Rick's head
You don't go to a pawn shop to get top value for an item, you go there because you can sell something quickly versus perhaps taking weeks or months or having to deal with an auction. You are going to lose some value in that exchange...that's how it is, that's how it's been and that is likely to always be how it is. If a perfectly restored one is worth 5 grand then that guy is delusional to think his is worth close to that with a non restored play field and faulty flippers, I mean the thing needed MORE repair even outside of cosmetic stuff. If it's worth 2500 (which is about accurate) then an offer of 1800 in that shop is actually quite generous.
If it sells for $2.5K to the final customer, then $1,8K was a good offer.
Agreed
That’s an insult to the pinball wizard community 🧙
He has a pinball machine expert now? 😂
Jeremiah Sample he has an expert guy for everything
😂😂😂
THE HOMIE BARAKA yes he does!
Not a hair one
"Let me call my pubes expert and see what he says"
I'm glad the owner didn't sell for that low-ball offer. Awesome machine!
These sell pretty regularly for $2000-$2500
The expert came in like an angry wife "what are you buying now" lmao
I'd like to see a seller bring in an expert to inflate the price.
then Rick would say no, obviously you have nothing to do with owning or running a business
@@williampgalloway It was a joke. Do I need to explain it for you? And yes, I do own a business.
@@chkohl1919 i need a job
@@chkohl1919 Yes please explain the joke.
@@h2ddengamers44 Im pretty sure he meant he was just kidding or that it would be funny to see someone harass rick in this manner. Nothing about fake experts, take your tin foil hat off.
Since I was a little boy, I watched the whole show, from couch to TV, I must've seen them all!
Love that seller for some reason. You can tell he's a good guy, taking things easy
I own one of these, along with 17 other pinball machines. Bought it around 1992 for $300. Spent maybe $250 on parts to get it all working again. Its not a great machine to play, although is quite iconic.
I got one too. I’ve owned mine since 1985. Mine is all original, but could use a restoration. I’m holding on to it until EJ passes away, then the value should go up. Does yours have the stars on the back glass?
@@jayski8987 I was going too ask about the stars! Does yours?
@@TheGroundedAviator yes, mine has the stars unfortunately
@@jayski8987 Too bad. I'm sure some company makes posters of it though.
“This is petty neat, it was Bally’s right”. (Says Bally in large letters on the front and side).
Elton John and Mr Brown got along famously
Customer: "Rick, I brought you the very first condom ever made.."
Rick: "I got a guy who knows everything there is to know about condoms."
I'm sure rick got his wife "CHECKED OUT" by an expert too
Mad Pierrot Chum strolls into the room
"Please bend over"
Giggity
“THE Expert” Is RICKY Bobby’s DAD!!!!😂😂😂
2:18 " pinball expert " blind Johnny walks around giant pinball machine in the center of shop and greets Rick asking him what hes buying now.
You have a good point
Does what the director tells him - walk up and ask Rick what's up?
Thank goodness, a man that stands his ground
95% of the time the expert say 50-75% of the value, most of the time, if that...
@Nick Crawford Yes Nicholas, we do. ;)
@Nick Crawford Your two cents is worth less than a penny Nick.
So lets break this down. You're implying here that you know the actual totally accurate and undisputed real world dollar value of 95% of the items seen on the show that are looked at by an expert. So by proxy you're basically saying that you're an expert in essentially every possible type of item. Well gee golly not sure why they don't just hire you as their full time in house expert. Oh yeah it's probably because you're clearly a clueless nitwit.
Because people just search on Internet and get their prices from there, where these are what the sellers are asking for, not what buyers are willing to pay.
"Ive got a pinball expert on retainer. He's in the breakroom microwaving a hot pocket, let me go get him."
Out walks chumlee
2:27 did that guy in the background escape from jail?
👏😅
Classic pawn shop customer
Give me a minute, I'll get my guy standing behind the curtain😜...
$4.59 plus $2.27 in store credit.
Wow! It has some play wear after 40 years.
I dream to play on that machine. Plus, it's a tribute about the pinball wizard scene in Ken Russel's Tommy.
I would love to as well
Lol he went to shake his hand but was finessed
Elton John and Mr. Brown got along famously!
As a pinball collector I think anyone would gladly pay 1800 for a Captain Fantastic in that condition. Probably worth close to twice that.
no.... its not
@@mrg1247 it wasnt 5 months ago when i posted this comment, now it is, and on top of that, i actually own one now
More like $2000-$2500 according to recent sales
I love to sit back an absorb knowledge like a beautiful sponge
Lmao Rick got everybody in the world to check things out.
@Pawn Stars thank you for the share
The expert was looking for his TPS reports by the end of the day
Him and Elton got along famously
How did he know it was Bally? What a genius hands down brilliant
I really liked that play field on those 70's machines..i use to burn money like crazy playing pinball back then.
Incredible item! When I re-do my rec room in a 'rock theme', I would love to have this Elton John machine, and a KISS pinball machine in there!
Ok $4k and it's yours pal.
I have a captain fantastic. You still looking for one? Let’s make a deal 🤝
best I can do is 3 fitty and a beer on the side.
Awesome piece.
Mr Brown and the Pinball Wizard got along famously
Thing should be at pinball hall of fame in Vegas.
They already have one. I've played it.
I remember playing the elton john pinball machine at Chico's pizza.
Nick seems an intense kinda person. Like hes always ready to go and DO stuff.
Best pinball machine EVER!!!
I grew up in pinball arcades Captain Fantastic is one of the coolest pinball machines ever.
They are very fun!
Best I can do is Gas Pedal You In The Coin Purse! 😁 😂 😅 😂 😅
there HAS to be a twist!!!!
How do you think he does it? I don't know. What makes him so good?
Never realized how
Bad I need a pinball machine until now
I played that machine back in the day when it was new.
"I'm wanting to sell some shrunken heads and various pickled human body parts." "I got this guy, let me call him."
He knows absolutely everything about that pinball machine but he don't know what Pokémon is.
The Geat what does Pokémon have to do with pinball
Are you dumb? Pinball machines were around when he was in his teens most likely Pokémon is more recent
He calls them pokemans lol
Yes it's called one item being from his era... and the other not. Most people that were adults when pokemon hit the world... were not watching pokemon...they were adulting.
The pinball machine was from the 70s, pokemon 1995.
best i can do it 5 bucks
And I’m taking a risk
Bryan J. Its called a joke
He’s has a expert for evvvvvvverrrrrrrythannnnnnngg!!
You're nobody 'til you GOTZ your face slapped on the back glass of a pinball machine. Then you're a somebody.
This machine was at the Hockey rink I played at in Fraser Michigan.
I used to stare at and study the images on it. It was fascinating as a 10 year old boy.
Comments on many of the Pawn Stars videos accuse them of low balling on offers. This is a perfect example of the seller saying "nope" and walking away. It's a pawn shop...a business. The seller doesn't have to sell what they bring in if they don't feel the price is right.
Expert: It's worth $2500. Seller: Okay I'll only take $3000. Yeah.
Mr Expert is going to reduce the price for his "Buddy", so the price would have been at about 70% of its worth (allowing for a 30% mark up), the seller was right to take it home.
"Mr Brown and I got along famously.." is doing my head in.
Rick: "The Best I can do is a punch in the face"!
"And i'm taking all the risk, could hurt my hand"
Me: I got a sample of air from antarctica
Rick: i got an expert who will know all about this stuff
Elton john most famous pinball machine? This guy has never heard of the kiss one!!!
WOW! what a lowball offer
Honestly ricks expert was right on. 2500 is pretty fair . Let’s not forget they made a absolute ton of these and there is still a bunch around . And don’t forget Rick isn’t going to pay someone full value . So 1800 is a fair offer at a pawn shop . Rule of thumb , don’t try to sell something you want full value for at a pawn shop .
Just so you know, I used to save my lunch money to play this game everyday!!!
Lol Rick saying" it was bally's right" while looking straight at the machine where it says ballys
are experts always right?
let me call my buddy...
Cool pinball but my dream machine is Whirlwind. Always liked the fan blowing on you once you got a high score on it.
I remember playing that machine.
So, he has to take that machine back to his house
If it was home use only and Elton John's personal game and had the backglass without the stars and low production number stamped on the cabinet then your talking serious cash.
“I’m Rick Harrison, and I’m Still Standing.”
I wonder if Elton John and Mr. Brown got along famously, does anyone know?
3:38 Store's about to be robbed. Guy in the back is thinking "As soon as those TV cameras leave, I'm doing it!"
Saw one of these in a recording studio in Nashville
The best I can do is a hand job behind the counter but I'm taking all the risk here.
The pinball machine expert looks like White Goodman from Dodgeball
That's like a Gamestop move. "Brand new PS5? Okay $5." 🤣
That pin ball expert looks like rudy mancuso😂
Man just has a fuckin pinball expert real quick
More modern Pinball games are really cool, like *Magic Girl* , because they are like a video game, pachinko machine, skee ball, and mini amusement park all in one!!!! LOL ;)
I played one of these
My local pinball arcade has one of these. I love playing it.
Are you the pinball wizard or the brown dirt cowboy? :-)
Really that's awesome 😊
My local arcade has this. It's crazy I've played on it
@Simple Man thank you very much sir
Mr. Brown played pinball famously
"He's my guy" is rick batting for the other team?? 🤣🤣🤣
If I had the money I'd buy it I'm an Elton John fan I got a few of his records at home
😂 I Just found 2 machines in a basement few weeks ago.. this was one of the machines. Still worked.. and they would NOT Sell it to me.. got it on video.. post soon! Keep Pushin!
I'll give you nothing for it but that's just because I really like it and I'm taking a big risk on it
He does have to frame it after all
Wow RIP to Nick
Seller is confused why Elton John I’d wearing a hockey jersey; hello, it’s a sales flyer for the machine.
@4:03 The Brown Dirt Cowboy got along famously with Mr. Brown.
WOW 1st time breaking the 3rd wall
I thought for sure after he said let me call my pinball expert he was gonna holler CHUM come here
i know a pinball machine expert, he is literally right across the street, let me call him
Guy said it had been restored, mec. and elec. This restorations can be pretty costly so Rick would get the machine for the
price of restoration, also this machine looked great to me.
So glad the guy walked
Captain fantastic is not worth that much 1800$.
you can buy mine for 1800 its restored as wel with waranty
Rick: “Best I can do is $100”
I remember playing on one of these
The Captain Fantastic pinball machine was awesome. I wasted many a quarter playing it in my youth.
Rick's expert looks like Rudy Manusco.
Y.A. Tittle threw this pinball machine; I caught it myself.
Being 12 in 1976,I would walk over to the older guys, who would be playing the 6 cards, and they would have a big pile of quarters splattered on the machine.I would grab a hand full and say,hey can I have some of these, and they would yell put them back.I threw them back and said I,m sorry, but I kept 4 or 5. That,s one way I got money to play Captain Fantastic when I was youngster.
I'd pay $3,000 for it, easily.
Rick said it was from '77. Try again. Also, the owner is delusional. Yes it is a very nice, clean machine. But no way I'd pay $4500. I might go $2400, but I don't tend to buy super clean pins in the first place. Gimme one for $1700 that has some wear to it. It's fine.
I think its fair. Its a well known and widely sought pinball machine. I personally wouldn't pay for it but I honestly rather have a wedge head than anything else.
That's because he had to frame it
