This is gorgeous! I've used Flex-It foam before, but never Vytaflex. After you made the relief mold with the Flex-It, at what part did the Vytaflex come in to make the goo? Just curious so I don't waste/misuse it. Thank you!!
Hi Sara! The entire piece was cured and painted by the time I used the Vytaflex
@@ThisIsJessPaul thanks so much Jess!
Hi Jess! Prop Maker here, stumbled on your video while researching Faux apple pies for the stage. Because you didn't touch the pie at all after it was completed, I was wondering what does it feel like? Is it durable to handling, or say *hypothetically* being thrown? Please let me know if you can share that bit of wisdom.
Actually, I can show you!! Please see the most recent post on instagram.com/jesspaulart and you can see exactly how you can handle it.
You were so funny. Thanks for showing us the bumps. Gives me faith that my disasters will get better because you're came out phenomenal. I have one question. I did look at the list of supplies you used (thanks for sharing!) but the finished pie after you used the acrylic paints had that realistic, goopy pie look, like you used a glaze or something in addition to the paints. Is that listed or a secret ingredient? Thanks!
@@ThisIsJessPaul I appreciate that so much!
What do you feel your molds with
What dough or clay are you using? It looks so smooth and pliable x

đ I remember someone said during a livestream a couple weeks ago "Jess Paul: Real Human Girl, Fake Food" đ€Ł
"Jess Paul: Real Human Girl, Fake Food." She is pretty chill and cool. Glad I started watching.
I cant find the supply list. But love your video. You are an artist of course, but gosh you could have a show too...your narration is so good and fun.
Hey, thank you so much for the lovely comment! It means a whole lot to me. The supply list is in the description: it starts with the sentence "All products are Smooth-On"
Thank you so much. Love your voice, fun realistic chat in your easy to follow Tutorial
This was amazing! :) love it
can you share you paint mix for your pies???
I need your voice to be my new Siri voice! New subby here, was hooked on this video the first few seconds! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Eeeee!! It's nice to cyber-meet you! Thanks so much for enjoying my vid, and commenting with your positivity. A big, squishy welcome to my community. Hope you continue to have fun here, Vickie!
What colors did you use on the crust?
I mixed my own color! I started with Vanchetta, but there are prob half a dozen colors to make all the shades.
Hey great job! The journey is the best part, even with the bumps. Critiques: get comfortable making your own mould boxes, xacto knives, plastic presentation boards, and hot glue are your friend. The more you can cut down on voids, obviously the better. Don't be afraid to use clay to fill in corners as well. Paint looks great, didn't get a super close up, but you can tint clear epoxy resin to get a super shiny wet look on the cherries and for the liquid their suspended in. Adding clear sand to the top of the pastry weave can simulate castor sugar as well. Fantastic job, glad I ran across your video, very cool.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of these amazing tips!!!!!
@@ThisIsJessPaul no worries, love to see a "monster" set of pies as well, go full Halloween with tentacle(s) coming out the weave over the side, maybe a slice of pie monster with teeth, you could go pop art/Borderlands with a pie in pinks, blues, and cartoon outlines for interesting photoshoots.
ohhh those round things are the cherries... and you are making a mold. ohhhh. very nice work. looks great!
thanks for sharing your techniques. very cool.
Wow, that is realistic. Fantastic job.
What is the dough you use?
All supplies w links in description!
And just so you are aware, this clay does not dry/bake/harden. This is reusable clay for making molds: I've been using the same wet clay for years now.
wow!! so cool!
Thank you!đ°đ°đ°
Hey Jess âșïž
