we were booked into Pritchards in March 2022 but the storm hit us in Port Fairy and then we had car trouble and decided we didn't want to risk being stuck out there with car trouble. I'm glad I go to see what we were missing LOL
Hi Christine thanks for watching and supporting our channel. Yes, as you saw the weather was a tad challenging for us. After being in covid lock down anywhere away from home was better. I recon it would be busy during school holidays, depending on your camping set up there are more options to camp on either side of the river. Cheers Graham OZLAPN
Hi Philip, it's over a year ago since we were down that way. Sometimes it depends if they are logging in the area. This may see track closures and boggy detours. In general I would say yes to going down with a 2 wheel drive, most of the main track is hard white metal through the forest. If it's going to be boggy it will be on the ocean side of the pine plantation. Take a shovel and turn around if it looks a little too sus. If you are there at the moment there should be heaps of people to help. Thanks for the question and supporting OZLAPN, Cheers Graham
