Hank do you have any advice on grief I have autism and lost my mom to cancer when I was driving her to doctors appointments and taking care of her
I thank you all need to take off those fuel fiftres oof they may have gaunt in it
Y'all should drill a hole and put some type of air fitting on that fuel can so y'all can pressure it up a little to help with pressure to prime the fuel system not much maybe 2 to 3 psi to help push all the air out the system and prime it faster than gravity........... it might be a new thing the ppl that own the can patent didnt think of but ive never seen one with a air fitting yet
If you guys don't know there's audio running over audio in this video
We worked on my 7 year old grandson’s go-cart last weekend. Watching this video, he said “maybe they should check the points.” I smiled and gave a little laugh. Shows he’s been paying attention.👍🏻 We watched a couple of videos on how a Diesel works. That kid just loves to learn!
Those are the most important "points". 😀 God Bless You and Your Grandson!
Nearly all those old diesel engines have glow plugs. They will be hard to start or even impossible to start without working glow plugs !!! Most of the time you turn the key or start switch to the left and hold it to heat the glow plugs. Make sure they are working at least two or three of them. Next bleed the fuel lines at the injectors !!!!! Bleeding lines at the pump helps but it can take a long time to get the fuel up to the injectors from the pump. Bleed the lines at the injectors to save hours of cranking time !!!!!
Hank and Willie don't care how long its been sitting or how ugly a machine is their willing to do their best to get it going it's incredible what they get running keep up the great vidio's.
Thank you
I went into Walmart to buy some ammo. The counter girl put it on the counter and I pulled out my card when she said "Strip down, facing me". I thought "This privacy invasion is gettin' out of hand. I'm gonna write my congressman and the NRA about this crap". But I needed the rounds so I did like she said and dropped my pants and drawers and she screamed and ran off somewhere. In a few minutes the manager came up to me and explained that she was telling me how to use my card in the reader. He also told me "Please don't shop here any more". 😎
That was a good one lol
Good one 😅😅😅😅
If a diesel wont hit on starting fluid, it lacks compression. As long as that machine has been setting, rings and valves are likely stuck.
That’s what that red bottle is for little extra fluid pressure lol
They shouldn't have use either to begin with. Cylinder walls and piston rings are so dry lacking oil from sitting so long.
@@OldFarmAcresJoelK. This is why I use silicone spray
WD40 only.
The starter is spinning the motor to easy. No compression. Rings stuck. Need to free them up and use some heavy oil to get some compression.
Boy oh boy!! I’ll tell you what, fellas that was brutal to watch. Wow!! That was one of y’all’s best episodes yet. 😎👍🏻🙏
Its got a really strong starter..its got plenty of life in it
I grew up fishing on that property... I am sure My Father helped build those ponds back in the late 60's... I NEVER knew it was Down there!... The Father in Law was one of My Father's Best friends... they worked together until the Man Passed... I am sure My father drove that to help them build those lower two ponds... the upper pond was built when State built the Circle.
I think it’d be pretty cool if you and Wiley could find either an older or newer D9-D-11 Cat to get cranked up! Either way I Love the content Hank!!! 👍🏼
I absolutely love coming along with yous all on these crazy adventures don’t give up i am certain it will run
We're glad you spent some time with us tonight!
GOOD JOB GUYS, YOU GUYS CAN START JUST ABOUT ANYTHIN' FUN VIDEO, THANX... PEACE FROM CREEL CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO
I threw my fists in the air when that engine started running! 😂
It was a long time coming but puff puff puff and finally the it runs now the better it will get well done gentleman 👍👋🇨🇦
It’s an AC I had no doubt it would start! Great job guys!👍
Out of all the will it start this has two be the best .. I figured it was a lost cause.. That was great call with the gas it was like the hail Mary pass at the end of the game. Hank you and Wiley out did yourself..
Thanks. It was fun
@@HamiltonvilleFarm I feel like it had water in the diesel fuel or the filters
Those black lever handles were the must have for the gearstick in ya truck back in the day
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Glad you guys still do WILL IT START
Y’all might consider a form oil sprayer has-brass fitting to adapt and provide bypass with pressure to bleed injection pump and eliminate fuel supply problems
I would like to thank Hank and Wylie these guys are great love watching the show love seeing what you do you're my American mates thank you from Down Under
Glad to see you guys even though you not sent me any notes but anyway the old gasoline trick I mentioned to you worked! I knew it would! Glad to see it running on its own! You guys are always awesome and keep em coming!!!
Hi John, I`m a Brit and love my Landrover turbo diesels here, they are more common than Gas engine ones, but some years ago when fuel got expensive my old diesel ran very well on half diesel, half new bulk buy cooking oil (ECO DIESEL NOW) and a good splash of unleaded gas (petrol) it ran better than straight diesel, sounded quieter but smelled of French fries behind me -LOL.. So your give it some gas in my case was good.
Looks similar to an Allis Chalmers that I have sitting out at my ranch since 1985. It is from the 50's. The one I have has a 3 cylinder Detroit.
Wow! That was amazing! Great job, guys. Great job, both of you!
Probably the marvel oil freed up the rings and helped with creating a little better compression.
I absolutely love seeing what y'all get yourselves into!! Great job y'all, don't give up, God Bless y'all and stay safe!! Y'all act like brothers 🤣🤣🤣
Hank sure is having a lot of fun pushing that starter switch...maybe he got told no a lot when he was a kid whenever he asked Ooh ooh can i push the button?
lol. I'm sure that happened a lot 😂
Thanks for the video. When you have one sitting for a long time, the rings stick and lose compression, the marvel mystery oil let sit in the cyclinder for a while usually will help loose things up
You have stuck exhaust valves. You need to check either, believe you got some dead stuff
That hissing when he’s crankin it tells us there’s valve issues
Hank and Whilley that was great enjoyed it thank you for sharing and your time was really great never saw gas in the mystery oil but it worked fantastic.
Thank you sir
Always amazed at this old heavy duty equipment that gets abandoned in the woods, lots of these videos out there!
My old Dad’s first crawler was a HD-6 , been many years since I’ve seen one . We cleared fourty aces of land with it , logged it and stumped and burned it . Made pasture land for our cattle . Every morning in the winter I plowed 3/4 of mile of driveway , up hill to the hyway . Using a low powered machine made you work strategically , turned me into a good cat operator . Later we got some larger cats , my experience with the smaller machine gave me the ability to run them well . 👍🇨🇦
You’re an awesome team!, thanks for posting your videos! God blessed you!
Thank you! You too!
Excellent video Wiley :) , Hank :) also yes Vinegar plus alcohol in Desiel fuel help kick over motor to trying to sometimes ! Yes guys work hard this one and also thought say this never going out start threw in towel on this one!
Love the longer videos ❤
That is sooo cool, sure am glad to here it run
Sounds good at least it runs. I think it might of been flooded had way to much fuel in the cylinders
When I see a new video uploaded, I get excited 😅!!!! You fellas do a great job keep ‘em
Comin Wiley and Hank!!!!
Its like watching abbot and Costello..! Lol..
We appreciate that! Thank you
Good job guys you all got it going that's what counts
Great job guys, that was a hard one to crank. I like those old ones though, like the allis, or an Oliver or a white. Call that one old smoky.
if it isn't locked up, I believe you two fellas can get anything diesel running again. Great job as always. Kerry
Did Hank mean Full Metal Jacket when he said all metal ?! Some of these would take a high-pressure sprayer to clear out the mud and leaves while they are soaking in oil. Has to help - or a powerful battery blower.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting.
Wow and wow. You two gentlemen got it to run-yea!!!!!!!
Nice job Wiley and Hank.
Now get it loaded and out of there.
Thanks guys.
The Iowa Farm Boy.
Unbelievable! I love folks who can fix stuffs.
Wow that was the best will it start . Do a part 3 to see if you can get it to move
My great grandfather worked for Allis Chalmers he had a WD45 and a deutz allis as his personal tractors
Cool👍
It's the Col.Hank and Wiley show!...was waiting for an update on these rigs sittin' out there..
Right on! This is a good episode
It’s getting fuel now just don’t got enough compression you can hear it losing it just by the way it’s cranking and when you see smoke and dump a can starting fuel in it there’s not enough compression to fire it.
Thank you 4 the appreciation Hank
Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family
Just shows that persistence and perseverance pays off (P&P) 😅😅.........oh, and Hank's idea of using the gas! Great job guys!! 👍😎
Yes! Thank you! 😁
Sounds like it has no compression maybe it has a decomposition leaver
I love these videos of guys bringing rusty piles of crap back to life.
Another great video guys thank you both and god bless
Thank you
right on great to see it run
The oil on the dipstick is a VERY good sign. It is an Allis Chalmers, after all.
You said”they don’t make them like this anymore”. Thank goodness!😂
lol. True
I think you fellas smoked out all the mosquitoes. Good job.
I would call it "burning love"
Love your videos you came along way
Thank you
Y'all are the best fellas!!!;;
Y’all did it again!!
Good luck guys
Had my doubts. Y'all got it. Cool
Love it.... :) keep on keepin on :D
propane torch heat the block/manifold up since de glow plugs not be working theirs is a light that glows red
Wow! Excellent job.
Love you guys you two are truly amazing characters and when I start watching one of your videos I can’t stop watching lol ❤❤❤
Love that never give up attitude awesome guys sweet
You guys are OK in my book!
Would love to hang out with you for a day.
gasrag it wet a thick towel in gasolene stuff in breather pipe when engine fires up jerk rag out really quick it will help the engine fire after setting a long long time
Good Job MR
Nice work.
had fun you guys no given up that wiley and the joker hank
That was a nice sounding dozer
Impressive guys good job
Awesome guys thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching we truly appreciate it
Very nice job and God bless y'all
Thank you sir
The graduates need to get a laser engraved crescent wrench! 😂
Once it starts spinning good release the compression release.
I retired from a Cat dealership in FL. I used ether for years. When I started for Cat, they didn't sell it or use it. They did allow gasoline. You put a rag over the intake. Squirt a tiny bit of gas. It will " pop" & jar those stuck rings loose
You have everything there but compression it looks like . Gas is not as destructive., but just like ether you got to be careful.
Boy that one beat you two bad. You have more patience than me.
I got to ask what is up with Wiley’s hat?? YES. lol
$2.96 for fuel!!!! .. $3.29 here in Maryland.. great video fellas.. awesome machine to get to see pop off
It's 1.70 a quart in BC Canada!!
@@davecody5997 it's the same🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember the first time I ran a dozer and when your off loading one, square up with the ramps and stay off the steering brakes unless you use them both at the same time and let her roll. And a single chain is never as strong as a doubled up one and then old boys should have known that a LONG time ago
Hank see that round ball lever it’s the shutdown lever work it hard back and forth in is to run.
Its the amazing song stylings of you two for me!!!!
Watching you in Hiddenhausen Germany 😊
that is soooo awesome with the scholarship
Thank you
Hey Hank and Wiley was watching a episode the other day and you told a joke Hank about who do you not say hi to in a airport someone named Jack that is hilarious when someone says hi to me I say don’t say that in a airport love you guys love to see you guys show your faith
lol
Now that's how an into should be done.
I always wonder with these rescue videos if one or more cylinders has filled with water from rain or condensation getting in exhaust or intakes and getting past open valves!
Great Video
I think it might run 🏃 the both of you should have a good day
one hour and twenry-four minutes. Love your videos but thank the Lord for fast forward LOL. Love you and Wiley.
That old mochine has a heck of a starter.
06:28 - how many dipsticks can you see...
keep it up boys
Hi Hank, I'm watching you from Johannesburg, South Africa. One of the main reasons I watch, it is the jokes 😂
TOOK AWHILE BUT YOU GOT ER DONE
Check for Decombustion lever
Poor old girl has got a serious lack of compression on one cylinder I think. Its had a hard life and needs spannering to take her head of and look what's she's got missing. 10 out of 10 for getting it running though guys.
Guys that was so awesome u didnt give up!!!!!
Hank, how many times did you walk past the moccasin laid up by that pine tree. Wily missed it too!
😳
