This song is hard for me. My grandson died of a tragic accident at the age of 3 months. As a single father & my daughter was his mother, who had just turned 16, I was the adult of the household and take full responsibility. - Eric Clapton's 4 year old son Conner was playing hide and seek with the (Nanny?.) He hid behind the curtain, but the window was open for cleaning. It was about 50 floors up and there was nothing to stop him from falling.

Then when George was having problems, Eric fell in love with Pattie while consoling her. Eric wrote the song - "Layla" - about it. Then He married Pattie and one night while she was taking a long time to get ready for a night out, he wrote the song - ' Wonderful Tonight". - She has said that she thought he was going to be mad for taking too long but no, he wasn't and it is a beautiful song.
