Ask yourself how many Gaza ceasefire protests Winston Peters has attended, then ask yourself about his motives for criticising the UN. Winston Peters' "cooker" supporter's mistrust of the UN seems to me to be the more likely motivation for Winston's UN speech than genuine empathy or a real sense of injustice. I don't trust Winston Peters, I don't trust his motives. Never have, never will. Winston Peters carries a fraction of the mana and empathy and gravitas and ability to listen that Nanaia Mahuta bought to that job.
