  • Tonight we are taking a quick break from calling turkeys and unboxing not only an AT3 Tactical ARO reflex sight but we are unboxing and pairing it with a Meadow Creek Mount Universal Rib Mount for a Remington 870 209 Gauge Youth Model. This is sure to be a lethal setup for some turkeys.
When it comes to turkey hunting a reliable red dot site can be a great addition to any shotgun. Often times shotguns can be limited to the options available for sights because of the receiver not being tapped and ready to accept a scope or red dot. Meadow Creek has gotten in front of this problem with its breakthrough low-profile rib mount that can adapt to any shotgun rib and allow a red dot scope to sit low and sleek along the barrel for a secure and effective optic option for shotguns.
AT3 hit a grand slam with their affordable and effective reflex sight that works great for turkey shotguns. With a transferable lifetime hassle-free warranty, its an option that turkey hunters should certainly consider. This is a red dot site worth a look. When considering a good red dot site for a shotgun, the AT3 Tactical was an easy choice because of its durability and affordability. Shotguns deliver a lot of recoil, and the combination of this red dot sight along the with meadow creek mount universal rib mounting system offers the versatility to add a red dot to a shotgun with very little effort and an extremely appealing budget.
Apex Ammo - Apex is among the pioneers in TSS ammunition. The turkey loads available are incredible and have increased the effectiveness of many shotguns and the benchmark Remington 870 20 gauge hails as one of the best shooting TSS setups available. Apex Ninja 8.5s and Apex 8's

I put a TruGlo rib mount on my youth 870. I chose it because it allowed me to set it with the post of the vented rib between the two metal straps that hold it. I just thought that would be good. But I know people who have that meadow creek mount, and I think either way it is a great product. The prices are the same. I have put meadow creeks on for people, and it is a little easier than the TruGlo as far as mounting. Super simple.

I saw one of those truglo setups recently and it looks clean. I may try one just to say I've rode the ride, but meadow creek is definitely a solid choice.

How you liking it after a month of turkey season? Is it still holding zero or does bolts get loose over time? Great in depth video! I wanna get one for my nova but I’m alittle scared of thing rotating or something stupid

I've had decent luck with the one I have on an ar-9. Don't shoot it alot but about a 1000 rounds on it.

That’s good to know how they hold up. I’m pretty impressed so far.

How bright was the sight compared to a light back drop. Looking at buying one of these for my Winchester sx4. I hunt a good many food plots and field edges where it’s a clear background. Is the dot bright enough for that?

You won't be disappointed, there are 3-4 brightness settings so you can adjust to your hunting conditions at the time
