    Question of the Day: What is your favourite date or favourite time of the year to go shopping? 🛍 Also, are there any occasions that have different sales or deals for shopping in your country? 🛒

    • @Hdhtfbdubgty
      @Hdhtfbdubgty Před 2 lety

      Until now I don't caaaaaare about any shopping date or time, I just buy when needed whether it's sale or no sale.
      By the way I don't understand bargains' mechanism, or to be clear I don't respect the way it works, trade and markets all over the world are disrespectful in my mind. That's why I just buy when I need necessary basics and only when need to buy a gift to somebody.

    • @JeNsJyugyou
      @JeNsJyugyou  Před 2 lety

      Hi Rafiq ☺️. It is good that you're not dragged into buying extra things just because they're on sale. A great bargain may help you to save money, but if you don't really need the item at all, you save even more money by not buying it 😅.
      To be clear, a lot of stores with Black Friday sales have something called "Loss - Leaders", which means that the retailers sell certain products at prices so low, they are actually losing money on the sale of that item. However, retailers do this to attract customers to their stores and hope that the customers will then buy other products in addition to the loss leaders to make up for that loss in revenue. It's a very interesting business strategy 🤗.

    • @Hdhtfbdubgty
      @Hdhtfbdubgty Před 2 lety

      @@JeNsJyugyou I don't think they lose in any thing, they earn 10 and 20 times more than the price they bought, therefore when they reduced price little bit to attract customers they still earning.
      Trade is know since the beginning with its bad reputation.
      But I appreciate your answer Ms Jen.

    Hello Jen...I'm from Sri Lanka. In my country, we have some special days for shopping. The most popular one is Sinhala & Tamil New year shopping. It's held on 13th and 14th April. Before those days people are usually shopping to buy clothes and prepare special sweets. And the other is Christmas shopping.

    And In Turkey, As for muslim people Friday is kinda holly day, so they changed Black Friday name to Legendary Friday.
    Oh! When I mentioned Legendary, I don't know if you was watching How I met your Mother serial or not, one night Robin and Lily were camping outside a store for the sale and car's alarm didn't stop all night long. It was Legendary 🤣

    Hi Jen, answering your question: Black Friday, since a few years ago, is as popular in my country, as it could in Canada or in the States. Actually, my wife and I were in a main department store, also in grocery stores and small shops Black Friday is present, generally until November 28th. Other than that, there are big special sales right after Christmas and in July during summer vacation time.🎁🛒
    Hope you feel good, though perhaps a lot of work. I wish you having a good time.💖🍁

    Hello Jen,
    in Germany we have the BlackFriday too. This year big stores like Amazon make a Black Friday week.
    But beside of these curious offers - I guess the days before Christmas Eve (on December 24th) the most stressfull shopping days. Everyone needs urgent a Christmas gift.
    Personally I have no special days I prefer to go shopping. I buy what I need/want. Sometimes I find useful things with a good discount too. 😉

  • @susanthaweerawardhana2792

    Hello Jen you are very beautiful today by the way we have April & December shopping seasons. April our new year & December Christmas. I'm a banker we also offer lots of discounts to our credit card holders in this season's.

      Hi Morteza ☺️. It's awesome that you were able to make a profit on Black Friday, while people like me were spending their money 😅. What do you sell? ✨
      Thanks for sharing about big shopping days in Iran 🛍. I didn't realize that Yalda was a holiday for shopping as my Persian friends described it to me as a time for family to read poetry and eat pomegranate 😁.

    Hello 👋🏻 Here in Hong Kong and China🇨🇳 , we also have crazy shopping events to boost the sales. The biggest one must be ‘Double 11’ on the 11th of November, various online shopping platforms and retailers will offer attractive discount 😝. 11.11 A Quadruple number of 1 thus it also named as Singles Day.

    Hi JeN!I'm not so interested in shopping.I think I've never bought things on a whim.I sometimes buy small and inexpensive products like stationery.I usually use up a 80-page notebook in a week to study
    English.I don't need high quality stationery,so I love DAISO and Seria 😅.Have a good one!

      Hi Ikuo 🌞. Thanks for sharing! Actually, even products from Daiso are decent quality compared to what is sold at dollar stores here in Canada 😅. I am also very impressed that you use an entire notebook in a week 😳. That's a lot of studying 📚.
      Speaking of Japanese stationary, I absolutely love Frixion pens and wish I could find them here in Canada 🖊 . They are such high quality and I love that they are erasable if I make a mistake 😁.
      You seem similar to my husband though in terms of shopping. He isn't interested in shopping at all (except for food and beer, lol 😆) . I still made him go shopping on Black Friday to buy a new winter coat though, and we saved over $100 🤗 🛍!
