Bezzera BZ10 brew pressure change 11 to 10 bar

- I guess if brew pressure is 10bar then it's 9 in the grouphead. BZ10 comes 11bar as a default but I don't want to fine my grind very much to get good extraction.

The dial of the pump pressure on my Bz 10 which i had for near 7 years, fliickr when i start the extraction.
Does this mean the pump is not functioning properly ?

What tool and size did you use to adjust the OPV? What gave you the best result?
I think a company like Bezzera over 100 years in the same biz knows what they doing if you not sure talk to the Dealer that sells and service the Machines
So, I removed the 6 screws and then realized there's tape on the bottom of the machine that if broken will void the warranty. So, I guess I'll have to wait 2 years to adjust the brew pressure. 😬
Ooh well, same thing here i just cut the tape. If something goes wrong in 2y will discuss with shop.

Why not set it to 9.5 bar. So you'll have 9 bar brew?
Heard my machine if gauge is set to 10 then it’s 9 in grouphead.. ur machine might be different losing only 0.5 bar in between!

I think the best way to know the exact pressure you get is buying portafilter with pressure Guage and water output control.
I can't trust what bezzera says.. 8 years ago they used to set the machine at 11 bars now they set it 12 bars... It's kinda annoying. Also my pump is green like yours and looks bigger than red ulka ex5 ones is this same pump or?

I'll try to find one to rent because its expensive portafilter. But for now 10bar is a way to go ^^

My machine is absolutely the same like yours in terms of model, components even inside and outside.
I changed the opv to 9.8Bar with blind basket
But someone said the bezzera machines like bz10 or bz07 have fixed opv valve set at 12 bars which is right but he said you should not change it because it's "fixed" idk if he is right also he said the opv might splash water out if u lower down the pressure to 9 and damage your machine! He said you should buy bezzera especial opv adjuster kit which set at 9 bars and change it with your original one on your machine...
Besides that when i lowered the opv from 12 to 9.8bars with blind basket i get whistling or high pitch noise...(with 12bars I didn't have that sound)
But 90% times when i pull shot i don't get that noise.
But whith backflushing i hear it do you have same experience??
The thing is when the pressure hit the max pressure (which i set it at 9.8bars) that noise come.
That guy who told me you shouldn't change the opv on your machine also said that whistle noise isn't normal and can damage the machine...
Do you get whistle or high pitch with blind basket?
Did you ask guaranty if it's possible to change opv on your machine?
Please help me out.
Congratulations you just destroyed your machine, you think that you get better extraction with this setting, placebo effect all the way
