so glad you got DAWN on the mic. She doesn't get all the flowers she deserves. She carved out a new sound and space of black expression in is one of the GREATS. Her time with DK and Dirty Money are history making moments and I always go hard for her and that time in R&B/Pop music.

What I respect about Dawn and Aubrey is they always say they will always and forever rejoin the group. Why the other 3 aren’t so eager when the bag is GUARANTEED and BIGGER is insane ! If they faked it for 3 years, I’m sure they can fake a 3 month reunion for an album & tour!?!?!?

I think the other girls are just over it. I know D Woods and Aubrey have legit beef that may not be able to be fixed. But I think Aundrea, D Woods, and Shannon are just over doing the drama. You're right, though. Venues and fans will pay these girls the bag to tour domestically and maybe even internationally every year or every couple of years. It's beyond silly to not get that bag while they're still somewhat young and can do the choreography.

That's because everything isn't about money!!! That should tell you something obviously. The personal internal issues are still loud and clear with them and until that's straightened out there won't be any business!! I believe this was explained before lol Also, they all (in their own way ) Have PTSD. And they're all handling different. D. Woods and Aundrea won't even consider music (poor things) Dawn has it too but her drive and love she has for music helps her thru. Unfortunately, who knows we may never see them all on stage together and if we do, then some SERIOUS mediation/therapy and much time has passed to heal the deep wounds. 🤷🏾♂️.

Those girls NEVER deserved DAWN... her vocal runs, ad libs, GENERAL musicality were the backbone of DANITY KANE, let's just keep it a STACK
Dawn is someone that probably would've benefited from a solo push right when the band broke up but by the time dirty money got pushed off to the side R&B just simply lost popularity in the mainstream and streaming made it impossible to write for other artists and make good money. It's really unfortunate for Dawn that shit popped the way it did because she's the most talented member of the group.

I may be the odd man out with this, but I honestly didn’t think that Dawn needed to go back with DK. She has her own critically acclaimed albums on her own.
I think you are correct in that no one thinks she needs them, just that the brand of DK and it’s fanbase is huge.
It’s because her solo work is SUPER DOPE artistically that’s why…for her to still be finding a way to release music is also dope & very clever of her
Love her authenticity and this full interview was amazing where she went into more detail about this. It's sad that she doesn't get paid the same, or more, as a solo act than she does with the group. I've seen her live and she's amazing; puts on a dope live show vocals, choreography, & set design be on point.
As she mentioned in the full interview (and others) they all have PTSD from their experience. I think they'd all need therapy before they attempted another reunion. For me, the reunion would have to include all 5 original members. That's when they were at their best plus I also want to see them perform songs from their 3rd album as a quintet.....

Dawn and Aubrey even did a couple of singles on their own as Danity Kane! It sucks what happened to them because all five of them are soooo extremely talented. Awesome chemistry on stage, dancing DOWN, great vocals!! I was even more obsessed with the DK3 movement after they came back as a trio tbh and that album is fire. I also love Dawn’s solo music, Dumblonde, all of it. Ugh Danity Kane, man. I’d just like a ONE NIGHT ONLY reunion performance somewhere, somehow, someday. They became one of the greatest girl groups of all time with two albums. But see, I also hate that they weren’t even able to profit off that damn show that we were all obsessed with. Damnit Puff!!! Anyway, we love Dawn 💗💕✨
I think since we were introduced to these ladies from the beginning to form this group, we (the fans) like to see them together more then apart. Because being honest I don’t want to see any of them performing alone, the same goes for Day 26

I experienced DK both time they came back with …. Concerts were amazing even with Aubrey, Shannon and Dawn. Sucks they have so many issues because they didn’t loose it with them.

Aundrea isn't likely not because she doesn't want to, I think making the band scared her away from the industry and family is just more important to her overall. As for D i think Diddy dropping her was a blessing she was waiting for D has always been more of a soloist you can see it in her demeanor when on stage with the group and a lot of fans liked to claim it was bitchiness i don't think she hated the girls she just really wasn't prepared to share space with them she wants nothing to do with DK because she relishes being on her own.

They can still get booked for venues. Idk if they could make traction with a album anymore, though.
Now I love me some Dawn, but DK broke up the last time because she put the paws on a group member. I don't care what beef we got, the moment you put your hands on ME, it's a wrap. Physical violence is a different kind of disrespect and I don't blame Aubrey and Shannon for not tolerating it. Now if they could get past that and come together again, SANS VIOLENCE, I'd be here for it. The ladies are amazing and incredibly talented.
These women are all so talented. While it's a shame how it played out, they have such an incredible legacy in music. Dawn has made SO many amazing songs, the collabs with the other girls, and the other girls too, Dumblonde made great music, all their solo projects, Dirty Money. I just hope they all have found a drama free place where they can do what they love without all the chaotic industry messiness.
Venue will pay triple because of the name DANITY KANE. That's what sells.

This is the thing I never understand with these groups. These girls are not getting any younger. Music is changing rapidly to the point where no matter how talented Dawn is female R&B and R&B in general is on a steep decline. If I was her and all of the initial girls in the group I'm touring and droppin singles to my core fanbase until venues simply do not book me any longer. There's too much money to just turn down.

It’s a bigger brand bc it’s a multiracial group. This definitely is a nuanced discussion & multiple factors play a role, but to pretend race doesn’t play a part in how dark-skinned Black woman move (or are given the space to move) in the entertainment industry, is intellectually dishonest.

The sad thing is Andrea will NEVER come back, even if all girls agreed. Andrea just don’t want this lifestyle anymore, I’m sure she’s happy being a “d-list” because fame is tough and they know that, so some are just backing away.
