Putting the words hot, mod, and skyrim in the title is a brave choice.
Poor youtube algorithm will be so confused.
Skyrim just doesn't get old. Love the skyrim music
The composer released an album called The Northern Diaries that’s in the same style as his Skyrim music!
HIGGS is so amazing... the way your hand conforms to objects to grip them in a natural way is just the best.
Skyrim is THE best VR RPG game to date with mods. I am currently testing a playthrough for stream and it's going to take me at least three months to get through all of the content. I love this game
Well, time to load up Skyrim VR once more... thanks for the awesome updates as always!!
I am letting Skyrim VR mods mature a lil bit more till I play again. I was heavily into Skyrim VR when it took days to make the mods work together if you were picky like me. It is so much easier today.
Be seated is unreal. I can't put into words how much I like going to an inn, sitting down and actually eating what I ordered
Absolutely love how you're still doing Skyrim mod showcases! Thanks for putting these together.
These new mods are so good, it’s making me want to go back to it :). Thanks for sharing! I’d love to see your full list of recommendations from previous videos as well!
Thanks! In my Discord I have my full mod list if it’s helpful 😁discord.gg/MAJDjEY
I think you forgot to mention that HIGGS now allows you to consume items by moving them to your face and releasing the grip. Its HIGGS that allows that, not Spellwheel.
Thank you so much ben for doing these mod videos. I just bought skyrim on the latest sale and im blown away by some of these mods. Im new to modding and learned how to use vortex this past weekend because it seemed the most user friendly. Now have just about all the mods in your videos. Im a mod addict now! Please keep doing these.
Just to say I really appreciate these videos, every one I watch feels like it'll make my Skyrim VR experience that much better.
hi mate. please make a full list of must have vr mods and update it every time you add new ones....thanks a lot.
Some folks over at r/skyrimvr created a pretty good one.

Excellent video, let us keep abreast of lovely VR development from time to time.
Great video as always 🙏🏽
Awesome mod showcase. Thank you!
Ben, your video is amazing. I found many interesting mechanics for my VR projects. Thank you!
comments for the algorithm gods!
Worship of the algorithm was banned by White-Gold Concordat! Don't anger the elven moderators...
😎
Now that i see that the mods have improved a lot over the years it makes me want to try skyrim vr again
Great video
Great video!
Another great video. Thank you
Absoluptly perfect!
Ty! I just got into skyrim vr again yesterday!!
Great video! You should dedicate more visual style mods next time as I feel like the functionality is near perfect and now I just want the game to look good too
I can't wait to try the be seated update:)
Seeing all these mods make me want to get Skyrim VR. Is there a list or installation pack of the recommended VR mods?
this makes me want to start my VR up and replay Skyrim VR with a sh*t ton of mods... thumbs up.
Thank you.
HIGGS looks really good, not just close to HL:A's gravity gloves, but EXACTLY like it.
Cool video! Showcase some "new" mods as some of these have featured on the channel before.
I was not expecting that dragon to jump up on the giant like that lol
Thank you for this adds. Now need multiplayer mod.
I might just have to get all of these
If you play Enderal make sure to get my Enderal Donkey Arp and Vatyr mods.
Much easier on the eyes ;)
Especially for VR
heyyy devour in the wild whats up brotha
@@NoFaceShiba 👋 Hey pal!
Holy shit, some of these are cool
Skyrim VR (100+ select of the best mods) + bHaptics Vest and sleeves = the most epic cutting edge gaming experience of a lifetime.
Thanks.
Thanks Ben! I keep meaning to get this game but the mods required plus all of your mod recommendations, it will take me a decade to get it up to scratch. Are there mod packs where all the best ones are in one place?
Thanks! Yeah In my Discord I explain an easy way to install complete mod packs in pre-built packages discord.gg/MAJDjEY
@@BenPlaysVR once again, very helpful, much appreciated 👍🏽 I will rejoin as I deleted my old account
I love your Skyrim VR and mod videos.
Do you have a list of mods you would use for a Skyrim VR playthrough if you would start it today? It is kinda hard to decide which mods I should use, especially with so many new mods and updates all the time... So I end up not modding at all like the last time.
Thanks! Yeah in my discord I’ve got a modding guide along with the list of mods that I use discord.gg/MAJDjEY
If they just shifted out the fighting system and used the fighting system from Blade and sorcery instead. That would make Skyrim vr legendary
7:19 man when you did this to Nazeem. All actions you did in the past are forgiven :)
Didn't even know I could eat shit by putting it in my face, or put it in my "backpack" with the hands mod lol
I am waiting for a good rogue lite mod for Skyrim VR. I never got to play the OG rogue lite mod on Vanilla and SE never had one that was that good yet. I have not checked it out recently as the last time I dove into Skyrim mods I spent weeks pouring over them, downloading them, then trouble shooting them to make them play together.
I put 330 hours in skyrim VR 3 years ago, and I wish I had more in me!
It was so amazing, but I feel like I experienced everything!
I want more :(
I dont even have a vr headset but I’ve watched all your skyrim vr mods videos. I find them oddly satisfying and relaxing for some reason... i think its time to seriously consider getting myself a headset haha
get a oc 2
this video is the reason ill buy skyrim vr
Just wanting to get into skyrim vr with mods since I got my rtx 3080ti for the valve index. You always bring out somehting I need!
I always forget that shouts are a thing since the main story is the last thing I do when I play (that's even if I get to it)
is there a mod to fix the button tip text yet? I know you can change them but it would still tell you to press whatever to do whatever, and be wrong. Was annoying when learning VR skyrim when all the action text was wrong! (with custom bindings mod)
Also Skyrim VR needs weighted actions for everything.
How do you get the spell wheel to open? I couldnt figure it out.
Do you prefer using the Spell Wheel over the VRIK gestures for magic? Or do you use them both for different things?
I use both! VRIK gestures for spells. Spell Wheel for food/potions and arrows 😁
How is your game so clean and clear? What kind of VR head set you run? And how are you linked/playing??
Now someone make an actually fun to use crafting mini game and spell crafting mini game
When I tried "be seated" a while ago it kept causing problems with VRIK and while the solution was simple enough, having to do it all the time completely ruins the experience.
Gravity gloves are a must have for VR.
Probably check out Enderal now I know it can be played in VR.
With higgs you can consume stuff by pulling it to your mouwth
wooden boomerang is op, kills everything with 1-2 hits in my game lol
what vr headset are you using? Planning to get into VR on PC myself?
Valve index 😁
@8:00 Check out Cangar's channel for a preview of Higgs upcoming weapon collisions
would you consider making a waabajack pack for your mod order? that way those of us who want to play the same way as you have a easy install option?
I’ve thought about it from time to time. But if I decide to take the plunge, it won’t be anytime soon I’m afraid 😇
did u use mod manager or vortex?
I use Mod Organizer 2 😁
Have u played using the DecaMove? It’s so much more natural feeling letting your body dictate the walking direction.
Good to know! I’m hoping to try it out soon 😁
im waiting on my full deca kit preorder to try it i am exciteddd
have you ever wanted to slap a fish with another fish
Hey ben I like skyrim VR but i have a huge issue with the vanilla combat. It feels weightless and disconnected. Do you have any suggestions on mods that make the games combat feel more weighty akin to blade and sorcery? or just improve the expierence of fighting with melee weapons. Thanks.
I personally haven’t found a good mod combination that works for melee for me. I hear that some interesting combat mods are in the works though
@@BenPlaysVR Thanks for the reply. I will stay tuned.
I love this so much but my pc just isn't able to make Skyrim VR enjoyable 45 fps only slightly moded is just lame. I went nuts with mods but made myself very sick trying to push through
Does higgs finally allow us to hold our weapons with two hands?
Thats a good question. I avoid playing Skyrim VR with two handed weapons because of how janky it is.
@@MaaZeus have you tried it yet since you got the higgs mod?
@@Lonelyweirdo96 I just heard about it from this video. I am not at home so I cannon try it. I will download it immidietly next Saturday.
@@MaaZeus oh ok let me know how it goes
@@sfjlfkjsdlfkjds 😔 even when he's not in charge, Todd finds a way to let me down. Can't say I'm surprised lol Thanks for the info tho
dear diary just doesn’t work for me. the little mini menu that shows levels, inventory, map, and spells works just fine, but when i enter into a menu, it reverts to the vanilla menu.
uhg do you have a guide on how to install all these mods? seems super involved...
Step 1:Use Vortex mod manager and choose skyrim vr as your managed game
Step 2:go on nexusmods, select a mod for skyrim vr and click on the big button that says install with vortex
Step 3: thats it
Use Vortex.
It's the official Nexus mod manager that you can download from the Nexus.
Most mods will have a "use mod manager" download button, and if you have Vortex that's what you want to use.
There is a premium option on the Nexus, but all it does is give you access to faster downloads. As far as I'm aware, there is no limit to how much you can download for free, it will just be a bit slower is all. Most mods aren't big enough for that to matter a whole lot, it's not like it throttles you down to dial up speeds or anything.
Nexus will also tell you when you download a mod if it requires other mods to work and will provide links to what you need. Don't just click through the prompt. If it doesn't say it needs something else it should download automatically, if it does, you need to click on download for it to do anything. You should also click the listed dependencies if you haven't already downloaded them to open new pages to downloads for what you need for the mod to work. If you're not sure if you've already downloaded something, just try to download it again and Vortex will tell you if you already have it downloaded.
It isn't quite plug and play, but is about as close to it as this level of modding can be.
You have to read and pay attention, but it will pretty much hold your hand for the majority of mods. Read the descriptions on the Nexus page for individual mods, as they will mention possible incompatibilities, special installation instructions, and requirements. You can then decide if the mod is worth bothering with or not.
You are going to want to install Skyrim Script Extender VR, which is on a separate website and requires a manual install, but that's just cutting and pasting into the right folder with easy to follow instructions on the download page.
Most other mods Vortex will handle.
Vortex will handle load order for the most part as well, but you may want to use Loot to sort things a little better if you're using lots of mods just to give your mods the best shot of running without issues.
That's also not hard to do as you just tell Loot where your Skyrim VR installation is and then click on the sort icon once it shows a list of your mods. Loot is easily found with Google, just search for "Loot Skyrim" and it should lead you to a download.
There are a handful of mods that can be pretty complicated and require manual installation with multiple steps, but those are the exception rather than the rule.
Everything I just listed is free by the way. If a site asks you to pay for anything related to modding Skyrim, it's a scam. You can donate to the Nexus and that isn't what I mean because that is entirely optional, you are not required to spend a single cent.
I recommend starting small with modding Skyrim. Learn how modding works with a small handful of mods, and gradually add more once you're more comfortable with Vortex and the Nexus.
The stuff in these Skyrim VR mod videos is a good place to start actually. The mods are all compatible as far as I'm aware, and they should provide a good sense of how modding Skyrim works and will alter the game enough to make it fresh if you've never modded before.
If you want to dive deeper, there are lots of video tutorials on CZcams for modding Skyrim, just look for something recent and specific to Skyrim VR. It all seems a lot more complicated than it actually is once you start doing it, though it does require a little patience.
Expect to spend at least an hour or two installing mods before you're ready to play, and don't go adding and taking mods out as you play. Doing that can screw up a save game. You can usually get away with it a little, but generally you want to install your mods and then do a complete run before changing them and starting a new save.
It's also worth pointing out, that once you figure out how to mod Skyrim, modding Fallout 4 works exactly the same way.
You are going to want to transfer the DLC files over to Fallout VR from flat screen Fallout 4, and detailed instructions for doing that are easily found online. It's not hard, but you'll need to move the files over and then install a few patches, as well as Fallout Script Extender VR. It's just a cut and paste operation, and then you add patches with Vortex.
There are some extensive guides on the skyrim vr modding subreddit, they go into a lot of detail and are pretty easy to follow. Does take some time getting them all downloaded , but it's absolutely worth every second.
I agree with what everyone else has said and there’s also a modding guide on my discord discord.gg/MAJDjEY
Great list of mods but I always found that the shouts having a cool down at all a bad mechanic so I use manipulate mod to remove it. I mean a shout is literally your voice speaking in dragon tongue. I mean imagine if you needed 30 secs to say each foreign word you ever had to say.
Instant equip does not make a difference for me. I have to state, that I use the grip click to equip a weapon rather than the draw gesture (can be adjusted in the MCM)
Thank you bethesda for allowing the mod community to do what they do for your games and allowing player to tailor their game to their hearts content
Is there a mode to make the game to cost a reasonable price on Steam?
SkyUI never works for me, every time I turn on SKSE vr with SkyUI vr it continues to say the file isn't there
You can do fish 🐟 slapping now👋
Best vr game in the world.
Install: DX Merta Black Rose Outfit - UNP mod and give it to Lydia to wear. It's reason enough alone to play Skyrim again, especially in VR!
Could you make a guide to make the vr more visually appealing my vr skyrim is too ugly, i keep trying to improve it but its so hard to play
I kinda wish spell wheel only allowed spell selection. selecting potions or weapons out of it feels like it ruins the vibe of what otherwise is a cool in world magic spell selection that I could almost imagine actually existing in world.
I really wish the gravity gloves effect was only useable with the telekinetic grab spell, it would feel more immersive and also give that spell a lot of previously lacking use.
You can customize SpellWheel to only be spells 😁
is fallout 4 vr this detailed too? or modders dont pay attention to it as they do to skyrim
The modding community for it is surprisingly much smaller, and it's very different to Skyrim VR in mechanics, so it's unfortunately not as lively of a modding scene as this one
Fallout 4 VR version was a barebones shit show and its fanbase is very low. Fortunately a lot of Fallout 4 mods work just fine in VR, but mods that improve the VR aspect itself (like VRIK mod in Skyrim) are sorely missing.
There is a full body avatar mod with inverse kinematics (like VRIK) coming to Fallout 4VR soon 😉
@@flowlocka Holy shit that is great news! 👍
My Controllers won’t respond. Why? Do I need to put all the game files and everything into steam file?
5:36 turn on subtitles and reminisce about skyrim gamer poop
Спасибо большое 👍
Can any of these mods work in enderal?
Some do. I’ve got my Enderal mod list on my Discord discord.gg/MAJDjEY
i need a mod list... im so lost moding it i cant even play i constantly add mods and i cant get past lvl 10 because NON stop i install re install and look for more to a point im burn out
i have no clue what mods are the best i test them back and forh for 50hours and still cant get all working... i think ill play vanilla version but sword combat feels so bad i do not know what to do anymore ;/ HELP !!!!!
On my discord is a guide on how to install premade mod packs that are much easier 😁 discord.gg/MAJDjEY
hey guys ! how do you get finger tracking ?
I play with index and i didn't find the mod to do this...
I think that VRIK is what does it. But it’s not finger tracking for each individual digit. It’s just your pointer finger really 😁
@@BenPlaysVR ah ok thanks
5:34 you threw a snowball at Heimskr just in time to stop him from saying the N word
ah shit here we go again... (loads up new game)
It sucks man, I installed the Wabbajack vr modlist and now I want to start over with just a few mods because I don't like the complete overhaul, I want to play through the original story line not modded campaigns.
Yeah, I would need a "Skyrim VR Essential Mods" up to date video every few month 😅
I heard wabbajack was good. Im new to modding and use vortex with just texture mods and quality of life mods like spell wheel..vrik..higgs mod. Same story. Want to play through the main quests before I jump into something new
Be seated not working I can’t take the food on my vork
Are you tilting the fork like in the video? It’s a specific motion 😁
@@BenPlaysVR I’m going to try
Can you play enderal with these mods?
Yes but one important thing to note is that you’ll need to use an older version of Be Seated with Enderal. More details on my discord if you’re interested: discord.gg/MAJDjEY
@@BenPlaysVR cool, I'll take a look
EAT POTIONS
4:10 Why the waitress talks like-a Super a-Mario?
It’s a me! 😂
@@BenPlaysVR you are alle right-a! Btw i'm italian, we don't speak like that, not even in English xD
I might take the plunge and stomach the pain that is installing this game and all it's mods... because holy FUCK there is a VR content shortage right now.
Thanks for this usefull video !
Imho there is ONE IMPORTANT thing that ismissing with HIGGS : the ability to grab objects and specially two handed weapons with BOTH two hands.
This should be a priority as using two handed weapons as if they were like one handed is immersion breaking.
The NPCs are still creepy
wow.
ive tried to play skyrim 50 times.
i could never get past level 10-20 because the UI was just so fucking bad.
its literally the worst UI ive ever seen. its so painful.
this addresses many of the biggest issues, and adds the VR twist.
Thank god I finally purchased Skryim VR finally, during the summer sale rip off.
which translates into "Full price 80 dollar games from ten fuckin years ago" except for one month a year when the price becomes fair.
we need more laws against that greed shit.
I would have purchased tihs game long ago, if the price were fair.
